  1. 💬 Communication

Healthcare providers constantly interact with patients, families, colleagues, and other professionals. Clear, empathetic, and accurate communication can:
    * Improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
    * Prevent misunderstandings or medical errors
    * Help build trust and rapport with patients
    * Enable better teamwork in multidisciplinary settings

Why the Other Skills Still Matter:

While communication is central, the other areas are also important:
    * Time Management – To handle multiple patients, prioritize care, and avoid burnout.
    * Negotiation – Useful in coordinating care plans, managing resources, and resolving conflicts.
    * Knowledge of the Regulatory Environment – Essential for compliance with healthcare laws, privacy regulations (like HIPAA), and institutional policies.
    * Ethics & Standards – Critical for making sound clinical decisions and maintaining professionalism.
    * Continuing Professional Development (CPD) – Healthcare evolves rapidly, so staying updated is vital for safe and effective care.

    Conclusion:

Communication is the most crucial skill in a healthcare provider’s role, but developing all six areas will lead to a more competent, confident, and trusted professional.

  8. My name is Anwar Chiemela Steven, I am a builder by profession. I’ve worked as a site supervisor for a while now, I’ve seen the need for these project manager 6 skills.
Communication: on site lack of communication can be fatal to the ongoing project, especially when dealing with artisans who feels you’re too little to lead them. Communication with clients to is paramount, incase there’s change in design or mind on original scope of project.
Negotiation: When working with fixed or flexible budgets it’s good to negotiate deals that won’t dent your wallet. Especially with clients and sellers of commodities.
Time Management: when a project completion time is 6 months or more or less, it’s usually good to work in that time frame especially for reputation basis and to get more deals your way. Clients love a contractor that works with time.
Understanding the Regulatory Environment: in the construction field there are rules that needs to be followed especially HSE rules which when not followed can slow down the project given time.
Ethics and Adherence to Standards: in concrete mixes there are standard mixture ratios and they need to be followed to prevent colossal damages. Just to mention a few.
Continual Professional Development: the same scheme used in construction in 19th century isn’t the same am now. The world’s evolving. You either evolve with it or get stuck in the past. Continual researches are carried for effective project delivery

  10. I am Precious Hassan, cohort 26, team 9, and I’m a virtual assistant. One part of me I would love to develop is my communication skills. That includes my written and my verbal communication skills. In my line of work, I need to communicate effectively, but as an introvert, I haven’t been doing that well. It is even better because I work remotely, so I am able to talk to my employers, but my written communication, like writing emails, is still rough around the edges, and I have been practising to write so as to sharpen my writing skills. Also, I need more improvement with my time management skills, I must say. I am learning to prioritise tasks, and it has been helping me greatly with my time management.
