It’s important to consider your savings as you set your hourly rates. The pay should be able to give you a saving.

Niching down helps VA tailor their marketing efforts to attract clients in that niche. When you niche down this will affect your strategy because each niche is different and they all have different needs to be met.
Happy clients in your niche will refer other clients to you.

    1. Setting rates
*Research the industry as much as possible. It is instructive to check what rates VAs in the particular niche are charging.
Secondly, I would consider my living wage taking into consideration how many hours I can reasonably put in per day or week or month.
*A clear pricing structure is essential to prevent the VA from undervaluing him/herself or overpriced values considering the type of work, the environment and what VAs commonly charge. It also makes it easier to be firm and to know when negotiation is possible.
    2. Client management
*Create client processes which helps one to streamline business activities and become more efficient.
Another strategy to ensure a positive working relationship with clients is to set clear client expectations. VAs should keep asking questions and seeking clarification till clear expectations are outlined and set.
**When a client is dissatisfied with the work done by the VA, he/she should retrace the steps back to the initial engagement and address the issues that caused the friction. Ask for specific issues and try to mitigate where possible. One could decide for example to work for a few days for free to correct some errors or refer the client to someone more knowledgeable in the field. Conflict is not always bad, it can be turned for good if well managed.
    3. Data security
*Install the best available antivirus software
    *Use safe cloud services
*Use 2-way authentication during sign up in any account
    4. Finding clients
*Be clear about what you offer to avoid confusion and poor outcomes
*Apply to different job sites like LinkedIn and Upwork or VA agencies and networking events
**Once a VA decides on a niche he/she is going to create a funnel of potential clients based on that industry. One can make a list of 10 of such people or businesses and then find jobs that fit your aspirations and values. Such a list may be updated as the case may be and one will develop the appropriate strategy to reach out to them.
    5. Practical skill application
    Email management
    Step-by-step on the process
The first thing to do as a VA managing a client’s email is to get an overall view of the email.
Then I would check for patterns ie what are the common types of mails they receive or send like subscriptions and the like.
Next I’ll modify settings to weed out mails that have become obsolete or subscriptions that need to be paid or removed.
Creating filters and creating a process /procedure is key to ensure nothing slips under the radar.
The VA should have a detail-oriented eye.
