  1. They faced challenges due to poor supervision and reporting which hindered their decision making.
Poor communication and lack of mutual understanding created further distance. They dealt with low self-esteem avoiding conflict to keep the peace. They would have resolved issues and directed their energy to more productivity.

  2. After a close case study, the challenges faced which hindered their decision were;
    •Lack of Unity among them
    •Ineffective communication
    •No update or reports

  3. From the source material I could determine that
    1. The communication channels was not as free flowing as it should be.
    2. The initial research report seemed to superficial and thus did not give the much needed depth in the risks department.
    3. the new hire did not feel comfortable to voice her opinions on the matter.

the skills required to solve this would have been
    1. Weekly progress report
    2. one on one meetings to get the needed input

  4. A further review on this case study, John, William, and Karen faced challenges due to a lack of supervision and a clear reporting structure, which hindered unified decision-making.
Poor communication and lack of mutual understanding created further distance. Each dealt with imposter syndrome and low self-esteem, avoiding conflict to keep the peace. With strong communication from the start, they could have resolved issues efficiently and directed their energy more productively on the job.

  5. Having understood this scenario, it is clear to me that these Team members didn’t work in unity as Professionals.
    1. They lacked proper and adequate Communication amongst themselves
    2. There was no Risk Assessment for the pending project.
    3. The initial report put together by William lacked depth, no proper research was done.
    4. When Karen found the final report too good to be true, she could not criticise due to personal sentiments and bias.

As project managers, we should be practical enough to look beyond our sentiments in people or things and give constructive criticism when needed.

This team also lacked a clear structure of hierarchy in terms of who reports to whom.
No supervision as well. Everyone put on the hat of “I know it all”

And this led to a lot of hitches that could have been avoided from the outset.

  6. After careful study of the scenario,i discover everyone has a personal interest aside the company’s interest.John wanted to see the beauty of the city, which could be done after doing what the company sent him to do.
William thinks he has been around for a while and he doesn’t need to carry his team along,as he can get the information needed from a third party.
Karen wanted experience, not challenging herself for the work at hand. This almost ruined the reputation the company is trying so hard to build assuming they didn’t get the information in the end and would make them loose the project. Instead of communication, there was assumptions.
However, they were able to put aside individual interest and come together as a team to find solution to the problem they identified, showcasing their professionalism.

  7. After a careful study, I found that Williams’s behavior wasn’t ethical on a large scale. He failed to communicate with the other team members, John and Karen, on how the research was to be done. It was such that, the project members were supposed to come together to deliberate and make plans on the process necessary to achieve the expected results.
However, Karen and John’s ability to question and identify loopholes is commendable. Their ethical skills helped to realize their goal like open communication, team work, transparency and the eagerness to deliver an accurate and quality results.

  8. John made the trip for the engagement program, and the plan was to arrange forums carefully to elicit the best feedback on how sensitive the main project would be to certain hurdles. William should have been vocal about his plans and told John how things are done there. Williams’s actions showed a lack of transparency, a vital project management skill. I identified four skills: critical thinking and problem-solving, ethical judgment, and integrity. After spotting irregularities in the engagement report, Karen questioned the remarkably flawless results, which showed green lights across key parameters. Because of her suspicion, she and John carefully considered the matter and investigated the possible dangers of taking the information at face value. Even though fixing the report’s problems could jeopardize the project’s deadline, Karen and John showed integrity by refusing to overlook them. To make sure that accurate data guided their judgments, they placed a higher priority on transparency than convenience.

Here, I discover team work and unity among the three in the case study. One of the thing that destroy a project work is lack of teamwork working together in other to achieve a desirable goal. Again, when there is no agreement between the teamwork whereby everybody decision and opinion are not the same nothing will work. If a team must work together, then having on mission and vision is very important. If Mr A, B, and C are saying the same thing they are bound to be successful and achieve what they want.
The rest are as a result of bad network.
    Thanks.
