  1. Professional Conduct Issues:

In this situation, Williams demonstrates a lack of transparency and possibly overlooks the importance of thorough data collection for making informed decisions.

Karen questions the accuracy of the report but is unable to voice her concerns, fearing it may upset John and jeopardize her job security.

  2. Professional conduct issues

In this scenario,Williams lacks transparency and potential disregard for the comprehensive data collection necessary for informed decision-making.

Karen doubt the the report accuracy but could not voice it out, she worry it might upset John and affect her job security.

    Skills employed

    Karen: courage, critical thinking
    All: open communication, integrity

  3. After reviewing the case study, it’s evident that communication breakdown played a significant role in the team’s issues. Williams proceeded with the report independently, relying on assumptions rather than involving John from the outset. As a project manager, it’s crucial to foster clear communication and shared understanding among all parties to prevent last-minute complications.

Karen’s reluctance to speak up about the issues she noticed in the report also hindered progress. Holding back to avoid upsetting a teammate is counterproductive in project management. Constructive feedback should be openly shared to keep the project on track and moving forward.

Effective communication and honesty are essential to successful teamwork. Everyone must be aligned, proactive, and willing to address challenges directly.

  4. The communication was poor at some point, John failed to communicate properly to his team members. Williams, on the other hand failed to carry his manager along and worked based on assumptions. I noticed:
    a. Morals and values come to play
    b. Upholding code of practices

  5. The communication was poor at some point, John failed to communicate properly to his team members. Williams, on the other hand failed to carry his manager along and worked based on assumptions. I noticed:
    a. Morals and values come to play
    b. Upholding code of practices

  6. In the case study, John William and Karen lacked a clear report structure and supervisor. Lack communication and a lack of clear understanding among the teammates.

  7. As always communication is Paramount. There was no proper communication between the parties involved. William employed shortcuts which in most cases are disastrous to projects, John submitted a report based on these shortcuts, Karen saw the lapses in the report but due to selfish reasons failed to point it out initially. However through deliberate communication they were able to eventually to identity these lapses, agree on both short term and long tern goals of their budding company, create a plan which involved proper online research and final execution. This case study underlines the importance of team work, transparency and accountability in a working environment.

  8. Lack of communication and sincerity among the team members
The skills used to help bring ethics into discisions used by the people involved in the scenario:moral principles, values, directives

  9. After going through the case study, I observed that the team didn’t have a clear communication and understanding from the beginning.

John was looking forward to having a meeting but was told that it has already been done.

Williams couldn’t probe the research results because of his relationship with the people in that area.

Karen on the other hand, noticed loopholes in the results which could bring up issues later but couldn’t speak out because she wanted to be in John’s good book as she was still on probation.

The above shows that some of the team members had selfish reasons that made them not discharge their duties effectively but when they came together, they sought out other means and were able to tackle the problem that would have greatly affected the project.

In essence, for any project to be successful, unity, clarity of purpose, unbiased attitude, transparency, and honesty should be at the forefront.
