The issues of professional conduct include
William bypassing the setup plans and completing the task alone without the other teammates, there’s lack of transparency
William using the wrong source to get the information instead of the engagement platform
Karen should have spoken up as a PM should always be honest and she should have considered how the results not gotten in a standard way would affect the project
The skills used to bring ethics to decision are
Critical thinking
Problem solving
Communication
From this case scenario, I learnt acting ethically is really important in project management, having a clear sense of communication between stakeholders and team members is very important.
Issues of Professional Conduct
.1. The engagement process wasn’t followed properly. William used his own contacts instead of the agreed method, which affects transparency and the reliability of the data.
2. The report looked unrealistic. The results were “too perfect,” suggesting possible misrepresentation.
3. Conflict of interest. William’s close relationship with the research firm raises questions about independence.
4. Fear of speaking up. Karen didn’t want to raise concerns at first because of her probation, showing how workplace pressure can affect ethical behaviour.
Skills Used to Bring Ethics Into the Decisions
1. Critical thinking – Karen questioned the data instead of accepting it.
2. Communication – John and Karen talked openly about their concerns.
3. Good judgement – They weighed the risks and chose what protected the project.
4. Ethical courage – They spoke up even though it was uncomfortable.
5. Teamwork and problem-solving – They worked together and brought in an independent firm to get accurate results
From the case study, I have learnt that for a project to be well executed, there should be good and clear communication line between the project manager and team members, No short cut to jobs, information that will help the project should not be cornered, everyone on the project team is important and no competing amongst themselves, all their opinions are valid too, All feed backs are welcome, Project team should leave their differences in order to do the job well, Also collaboration of stakeholders is very important.
From this case study, i’ve learnt that for a project to be well executed, there should be good and clear communication between the project manager and team member. No good information that will help the project that should be shelved. Project team should share their views on either the research or tasks. Also, collaboration between stakeholders is very important.
Frome this case scenario I learnt that communicating with team members is very important and also working with team members saves a lot of trouble because then everyone will bring out ideas and and also find ways to learn more about this PM
Acting ethically is very important in project management with the stakeholders because if there are problems that requires honest attention and personnel involved in dealing with such issues pretends all is well definitely these problems will surely spring up at the end if temper are not controlled this can lead to unwarranted arguments that could have been avoided.

From this case study, I learned that ethics in project management shows up in real decisions – like being honest in reporting risks, engaging stakeholders responsibly and seeking expert guidance instead of hiding problems and following shortcut . It also highlight how ethical choices can protect both the project and the firm’s reputation
