  5. Taking an interative aprroach in setting up a projects allow for feedback from the users, more involvement of the stakeholders, flexibility and adaptability , time management. However, it should be noted that interative approach is more suited for building a website projects, projects that involves constant respond from the end user so as to improve efficiency and functionality of the products. In iterative method, management role is more of leadership rather than control because the team is set up to control, command and manage itself.
    it can not be stated that linear or iterative method is the most suitable approach to employ because choice of approach depends on nature and scope of the projects. linear is suitable for projects that scope, nature and plan of the project will not change for example construction.
    However, i have a question. in construction we have a method of procurement which is PPCP( public private community partnership) where before the community is being engaged from the pre contract stage, this is done so that after the completion of the projects the community will be involved and engage in the usage of the infrastructure built, in these scenerio, whivh approach is the best to use linear or iterative?

  10. As a project manager at MTD, I’ve seen that planning events comes with unexpected challenges. MTD has mostly used a step-by-step (Linear) method, which works well when things are predictable. However, as customer needs and industry trends change, this approach can become too rigid.

    Using an Iterative approach would help MTD adjust plans as they go, reduce risks, and improve teamwork by getting regular feedback. But it could also slow things down, cause confusion, or go over budget if not managed well. An Agile approach would make MTD more flexible and responsive, but it requires a team that’s comfortable with constant changes and quick decision-making.

    The best option is a hybrid approach, using a structured plan for stable tasks while staying flexible when things change. This would help MTD handle challenges better, keep clients happy, and make sure events run smoothly.
