  1. Communicating with Stakeholders effectively;

    1. Identify stakeholders: Who they are, what their interests and needs are as well as their relevance to the project.

    2. Establish communication channels: Determine the best way to communicate with each stakeholder, whether it be through email, phone, or in-person meetings.

    3. Develop a communication plan: Create a plan that outlines how, when and what you will communicate with each stakeholder.

    4. Listen and respond: Be open to feedback and suggestions from stakeholders. Respond promptly to any questions or concerns posed.

    5. Manage expectations, honestly: Set realistic expectations for the project and communicate any potential delays or setbacks.

    6. Keep stakeholders informed: Provide regular updates on the project’s progress, including any milestones achieved, upcoming activities and risk areas.

    7. Document communication: Keep a record of all communication with stakeholders, including meeting minutes and emails.

    8. Evaluate effectiveness: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of your communication plan and make adjustments as necessary.

  2. Knowing the approach to use based on the person or people in front of me and communicating constantly is what will work for me as a project manager, regardless of the project I’m working. Writing down communication points will equally help to exhaust all that needs to be said. Additionally, I always like to get the opinions of the people I’m working with. It goes a long. Communication to me cannot be a one person thing.

  3. There is a popular saying that “communication is not made until it is understood “ as a project manager You must learn the language and methods by which you communicate with your stakeholders. Again, always give room for feedback. Hear what your stakeholders have to say about a particular project. Good communication is the number one road map to a successful project.

  4. Given that communication seems to be the focal point or skill of a project manager, it is very imperative then that every project manager tailors his/her communication style depending on the interlocutors he/she has to do with. While periodical presentation of positive updates of the project may not be an issue, what’s imperative and demanding tact in its presentation is bad news. This should be presented last with definitely a way out presented in order to keep frustration away.
    For me, a planned and mostly written down communication guide or plan will work best because of the necessity to have a focus and productive end result without hurting the feelings of interlocutors

  5. It is very essential as a project manager to communicate with stakeholders even team members without it project success will be very difficult to archive.

  6. While communication is key in project management, it is also important to tailor your communication to suit the respective audience, be it team members, project sponsors, project beneficiaries/clients, or peers.

  7. Knowing the different levels of stakeholders as well as how to communicate with them taking into consideration their differences is key. Also, don’t just communicate, but make sure you are getting a feedback

  8. Proper communication and review. this stood out for everyone who spoke. a good project manager should master effective communication. whether he is dishing out bad news or good news, communicating effectively helps set the mood

  9. As an engineer, the always communicating with your client is a very useful skill. Also, not been scared of sharing bd news is also a priceless jewel in this industry😅.

  10. To me,I think one of the most important requirements of a project manager is constantly communicating with your clients.
