Being able to communicate with stakeholders is very much important and also being able to have an insight or an option as a solution to the bad news is also a goal.
Not been afraid to bring bad news to bring bad news to the table is also important but then what makes it peculiar is that after proper analysis there also possible ways and solution proffered to solve and tackle this issue and this has always been a go ahead for me.
Don’t be afraid to bring bad news,it’s part of your job description as a project manager. However, don’t do this in a stakeholders meeting. Meet them individually. That way, when there’s finally a meeting, they won’t be surprised at the news as they’re already aware about what’s going on and may have even formed opinions around it thereby helping arrive at quicker solutions.
The tips at the ending is what I held most crucial and the third tip most important.
I could remember in secondary school, if there is anything big that happened in school I did have to tell mum first so she can have my back before having it as an open discussion with my dad present, by so doing she already know what to say to cover for me lol.
You need to plan the communication in advance, and when talking to the organizers make sure that they are all working in time. Never be afraid to bring bad news to the table, but properly analyze the situation and come up with possible solutions.
Effective communication is key in my role, and the strategies discussed by the project managers in the video align with my experience:
Tailoring Communication: I adjust my communication style based on the stakeholder. For technical teams, I focus on facts, while for emotional clients, I use empathy. For innovative stakeholders, I align the project with their vision.
Transparency and Regular Updates: Regular communication helps manage expectations and keeps stakeholders engaged, especially in my role at MTN Ghana where clients need timely updates on technical or billing issues.
Handling Difficult Conversations: When delivering bad news, I ensure I have solutions ready to maintain confidence and show proactivity.
Feedback Loops: Daily feedback and updates keep the project on track and help mitigate risks by involving stakeholders in the process.
In summary, clear communication, transparency, and handling tough conversations are essential strategies in my role.

For those who prefer analysis, they should be communicated to in figures etc. moreso, it is important to not shy away from bad news, however be armed with a proposed solution as you present the news
As a project manager, the communication skills I will adapt to as earlier mentioned by the three project manager is daily feedbacks and reporting of project status to the project stakeholders, as well as disseminating information from the stakeholders to the project team to ensure the project is carried out as planned in line with the scope, time, cost and quality. Also communicating with tact when breaking bad news or a negative feedback about the project, with possibly recommendation as solution on standby when breaking the news to the stakeholders or project team, as the case may be.

Have a written communication plan
Use understandable terms
Note your key messages
Timely updates
Always look out for feedbacks
As a project manager, i must be open minded in communication and very clear in communicating with my clients and stakeholders.
In case of any changes proposed in the course of the project, I have to ensure I discuss the effect of such changes with the right stakeholders to be sure the cost implication of the changes does not affect the project delivery nor the time schedule of the project.

In case of any changes proposed in the course of the project, I have to ensure I discuss the effect of such changes with the right stakeholders to be sure the cost implication of the changes does not affect the project delivery nor the time schedule of the project.
I cannot afford not to bring bad news to the table and also proffer possible solutions to the stakeholders. In this case, I must have already communicated concerns with the individual stakeholders before bringing them to the forum.
Moreover, I would tailor my communication style to fit the stakeholder I am working with as the second instructor rightly said.
As a project manager, there should be a daily communication with your clients. Updating them of the progress and probably challenges you’re facing.
As a project manager, you should not be afraid of sharing bad news to your stakeholders. But in doing that don’t drop it as a bombshell in a general meeting, instead tell them individually so that when the general meeting happens, a solution can emerge.
As a PM, one should have a flexible style of communication and just like the second instructor said, tailor your communication style to fit the person you are working with.
As a project manager, effective communication with stakeholders is crucial to project success. In my organizational context, I’ve found that tailoring my message to each stakeholder group, providing regular updates and progress reports, and actively listening to their concerns and needs are essential strategies.
These approaches help me build trust, manage expectations, and ensure that stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. By adapting my communication style to the unique needs and interests of each stakeholder group, I can foster a collaborative environment and drive project success.
To be an effective PM. You have to learn how to communicate effectively with your stakeholders for clarification and to clear unskeptical doubt among stakeholders. You have to be concise and brief in your communication style.
Communication with stakeholders is important in fostering projects as a PM.
To do this effectively, you have to understand your audience, what communication language they speak and tailor your communication style to each stakeholder.

Effective communication is essential in school organizations. By adopting these strategies, educators can promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and mutual understanding.
For an effective and continued communication to stakeholders, through out a project life cycle, make the following submission:

5. Foster open communication and collaboration.
6. I would also gather feedback and make adjustments.
Communication is paramount in this regards as it gives you the opportunity to know how and/or what changes you are to relay to the third party from your everyday interactions with the stakeholders. Like change in pattern or design, extra or new ideas to be infused into the existing one.
The first speaker talked about constant communication : in this case constant communication to the team as a project manager Is adviced he used this method in bringing out the best in the team and the project.communicating with the stakeholders of what is going on ,on the project or the sponsor which is also one of the stakeholders can create what is is called trust to you as the project manager and to your team .
Second speaker said as a project manager don’t be afraid to communicate to the team or the stakeholders when things has gone wrong.
From the video, it’s obvious that constantly communicating with your stakeholders can never be overemphasized. They need to be kept abreast at all times. It’s also important to plan what you’re communicating in advance and tailor your communication style to the person (s) in front of you.
The key in communicating with stakeholders is; having daily communication with client, as to know of new developments in the project and the need for new equipments or more finances. Also tailor your communication style to the person in front of you. It’s important to get feedbacks after every meeting with stakeholders.
Communicating with Stakeholders; what works for me as a Logistics/Material Coordinator, is to constantly Reporting on work activities/stages, as the project progresses to the particular stakeholder. Written down Plan of communication before any meeting or physical engagement with stakeholders is also key for me.
Having a constant communication with them and ensuring it is clearly aligned and consistent (it must be up to date).
Having a written down communication; write the plans you have in mind.
You need to care about them,Do not be afraid of bringing a bad news to the table but make sure you plan on a solutions to go about it.

Considering my role as a Training Technology Administrator (TTA), I find Strategy 2: Planning Communication in Advance to be particularly relevant.
This approach enables me to proactively manage communication with various stakeholders, tailoring my communication style to each group’s needs.
By doing so, I can foster more effective collaboration, reduce misunderstandings, and enhance training outcomes.
I intend to apply this strategy to better navigate the complex communication landscape in my organizational context, ensuring that technology integration supports learning objectives efficiently.
Communication is the bedrock of every project. It is always necessary to have a written plan for your communication with the stakeholders, this will help you tailored your communication to suit the person you are communicating with. Also presenting an accurate data and evidences ahead of your discussion with stakeholders will gives them confidence that you’re prepared and have the capacity to handle the project.
Constant communication is the key. Getting feedbacks, contribution, suggestions etc but also, tailoring or adjusting your communication to the person in front of you is very vital because individuals are different and
they see or think in a different way. Lastly, bringing evidence and data to what you are communicating is crucial and important so that the stakeholders knows how serious, prepared and organized you are.
As a student, I work a lot with other students in group projects and lab reports. When someone is not doing their part of the work, as a team leader I need to:
First analyze the situation and make a communication plan, is the workload too challenging for this member, was he/she not aware of the project deadline, is he or she going through something personally?
After gathering all the possible factors I would communicate with empathy and offer possible solutions to the situation, after which I will be tracking the progress(getting feedback).
If the matter still continues then I would need the team to intervene so we can all work together and finish the project before the deadline.
The key point is communication and the importance following up on given feedback.
As a good project manager, constant communication is essential to know if there is any change in plan or something to be added in project. Also, a written down communication plan is important to know the key messages to communicate with stakeholders and team so as to get feedback for effective running of a project.
As a project Manger, communication is essential and should be constant amonhst stakeholders. This helps build trust and also increases their engagement in a particular project. A project manager should be able to share both good and bad information, this could in turn proffer a way to tackle challenges if encountered thereby leading to the success of the project.
As a project manager, you don’t need to be afraid of sharing bad news, always communicate the progress and blocker if any with stakeholders and clients. It’s also good idea to come up with possible solutions to the blockers.
It should be noted that the stakeholders are very important in project management thus they need to be kept abreast of all important aspects of the project by communicating effectively with them.
Stakeholders are crucial to the project , as a result they should through effective communication be informed of the current state of affairs in the organization wether good or otherwise, so as to have idea of what to expect.
Communication is important in our daily life, it helps us to pass information or ideas to people. The different modes of communication helps us to know how to pass or get information through to the target audience. We need to know what mode of communication is best suited to pass information to different people and also to get their feedback to know if they are getting the right level of information. It also enables us to foresee problems and know how to provide a solution to those problems.
As a project manager, we need to be wary of our choice of communication skills when dealing with stakeholder because different stakeholder with different orientation and exposure.
Clear and effective communication with the project team, stakeholders and client is a vital skill as it will help me in conveying ideas, and instructions, and getting feedback. Improving this skill will involve taking public speaking courses, practicing active listening, and even using a few digital tools to aid better communication
Now I understand that communication skills are essential skill as project managers. as a project manager communication should often be the order of the day so as to help in shearing important ideals amongst team mates, build good relationships and can also promote growth.
Communication is one and I see as the most important skills to have as a project manager because as a project manager you need to be up ur game with your stakeholders ensuring the right information is passed across to them and every report on the project is being communicated. In that way as a manager you knw your progress, risk arising or whatever challenges the project will face along the way. Being an effective project manager, passing effective communication is a vital key in moving ur work forward,in that way every one including stakeholders n teammembers are in line with ur work.
Communication is the key by communicating with the stakeholders and giving feedback and also seeking for their opinions whenever the needs arise is the best in other to tackle any challenges that might occur during the project before getting out of hands.
Communication is very important to achieve a successful outcome in any project. So, before communicating to the stakeholders make sure what ever you are going to say or write is clear, accurate and easy to understand.
Communication strategies varies with different stakeholders. Some stakeholders prefer visual results, so you keep up to that by presenting visual representations to them and inspire them. Secondly, some are action-oriented so you make sure you are quick fast as possible and so on. I believe i have worked with clients that prefer visual representations of whatever you are working on, so i try to present them with visual report of the outcome while we are having discussions.
Reporting is key to knowing progress!
Effective communication goes a long way toward boosting the success of a project. So I find it crucial for project managers to be good and persuasive communicators.
Communication is an essential tool and to that fact there should be a clear means of communication between the project manager and the stakeholders for the growth and betterment of the management.
A a project manager, there should be a means of communication between the project manager and the stakeholders for the growth and betterment of the management.
Communication is key in project management and as such should be a constant between stakeholders. You should not be afraid to communicate and share information with stakeholders whether good or bad. However, certain information should not be passed to everyone at once in a sitting, rather it should be discussed with individuals first before bringing it to the general house to avoid shock among stakeholders.
Communication is key in project management and as such should be a constant between stakeholders. You should not be afraid to communicate and share information with stakeholders whether good or bad. However, cer information should not
As a project manager, there is need for constant communication amongs stakeholders in order to build a solid foundation and also trust between the stakeholders and project managers
Also the project manager should be able to Tailor project plan to the stakeholders this help to carry everyone along with the project
Note: communication is an important tools for any project to be successful…to able a flexible work…
As a good project manager there’s need for constant communication within stakeholders in order to form a firm foundation. Communication with stakeholders help solve problems, communication should also move downward to the team members. You should never be scared to pass information to stakeholders be it good or bad news
Communication with stakeholders individually and collectively is of great importance.
Being able to reach out to various stakeholders, personally with Communication styles that suits them, knowing when to be analytic, expository and precise. Communicating issues with stakeholders individually helps to foster solution when meeting together, as a project manager, you should not be afraid to relay and information to the stakeholders whether good or bad . Communication also flows downwards to your team.
As a project manager, communication with the stakeholders is very important and should not be neglected. I believe that following the fundamental lines of communication will help us gain the trust of the stakeholders and make our work easier.
Effective communication with project stakeholders is very important and should be healthy.
It’s also important to tailor and adjust your message to the person in front of you.
I need to sharpen my communication skills before involving in with the stakeholders, because my approaches in our conversations will surely determine how cooperative they will be
As a manager communicating with stakeholders must be healthy so that the ones that don’t understand the project process will be carry along and the process run smoothly
Communicating with stakeholders about the progress and status of the project will let a project manager gain more trust of the stakeholders and they will also know wherever their assistance will be needed
As an aspiring project manager, I should think that reporting alongside constant communication are necessarily essential to the progress view of the entire project phase owing to its dynamic nature.
I have learnt it is especially important to communicate with stake holders, especially of timelines can not be met on schedule or if changes that are particularly significant to a project are to be made or being made.
My name is Justina Adetunbi
Thank you DEXA for the opportunity
For the project management skills I am lacking in the communication aspect.
How I will improve is to
1. Take courses on public speaking
2. Read books on communication
3. Follow people and get a mentor on communication
Communication is one of the topmost/coreset of skills required of a project manager. It consist of the message itself, mode/medium of communication, the language and the receivers. However, I really support having a good communication plan, frequently communicate issues with stakeholders (Clients, Sponsors, Team members etc). The advantages of this are that, it enable one to foresee problems, enable everyone to understand the level of progress and possible challenges to be resolved. So, therefore, a good project manager must not be afraid to bring issues to the table so that all options are analyzed and possible solutions follows.
One thing that stands out for me & is relatable is the Timelines/Deadlines
It’s important to communicate with the Stakeholders on whether timelines given to projects are realistic or not
If for some reason, the deadline is looking unrealistic , quickly communicate with cogent reasons why you will need a reschedule
Also, communicate new timelines, so that everyone will adjust their calendar & resources to fit the new dates
Communicating with stakeholders is really important. I would prefer constant or frequent communication in order to keep the stakeholders abreast on the level of progress, unforseen issues and funding problem if such need arises.
Communicating with Stakeholders is key as it can lead to the success of the project if done effectively or ruin it if otherwise.
I think it’s very important to know who the Stakeholders are – a little enquiry on they won’t be bad idea so as to know how to follow them for better result; progress of the project that is.
It would be nice putting down my thoughts on paper if it’s a physical meeting so nothing is left out while avoiding bringing in the bad news first but whenever it comes,a solution is immediately proffered to assure them all is well. And since all of them are not exactly alike, the style to communicate with them definitely won’t be the same but will achieve same goal of keeping their support and at the same time getting them informed and engaged through out the lifespan of the project. Doing this effectively brings about,a win/ win situation for the project.
Communicating with stakeholders is very important for every projects as it helps with the progress process. It is also important for a project manager to have communications plan written down to help in the communication approach and also knowing how to adapt to any changes that may occur.
Communicating with stake holders is very vital for every project as it keeps all parties in view of the project process. Communicating with stake holders takes a whole lot as it involves a whole lot of reports for different sections or departments but it’s very important that the needed and important information should be properly outlined for easy understanding by everyone and how this information is been passed is very important in the sense that the project manager must have in mind the kind of audience he/she is communicating to for example if your audience are action people make sure to go direct to the points to save time and be sure to come with evidences.
Communicating with stakeholders is vital for my project’s success. It builds trust and keeps everyone aligned, helping to manage expectations and prevent misunderstandings. By engaging stakeholders early on, I can gain valuable insights, address risks, and encourage collaboration, which can lead to innovative solutions.
Effective communication also ensures that stakeholders feel heard, which boosts their support and commitment. This is especially important for navigating challenges and securing the resources needed for smooth execution. In short, open and transparent communication is key to turning stakeholders into partners in achieving project goals.
Effective communication is an essential soft skill for any project manager. The communication strategy for a project involving diverse stakeholders will depend on each stakeholder group’s level of power, interest, and engagement needs. Therefore, I prefer using varied communication methods, including frequent, detailed, and direct approaches such as in-person meetings, video calls, and project management platforms. Additionally, scheduled check-ins, reports, and decision summaries, typically via email or scheduled meetings, will ensure that stakeholders are fully informed, closely aligned with the project’s progress, engaged in decision-making, and able to address any concerns promptly. These varied methods are intended to gather input and feedback in stakeholders’ areas of expertise, ensuring their support throughout the project.
Communicating with stakeholders, as stated by all three project managers is essential for divers reasons. In my organization, my stakeholders are analytic in nature as such, having a conversation at any time requires me bringing data / numbers to the table.
As a project manager, possessing excellent communication skills is crucial for fostering healthy relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Communication is the foundation upon which successful projects are built, and its absence can lead to misunderstandings, delays, and ultimately, project failure.
The major thing I have observed from the beginning of this course till now is the emphasis on communication. Being flexible in communication style is key as there are different stakeholders who are primarily humans, and reason differently. It is also important to get feedback as often as possible and analyse all options always. Finally, to further buttress the communication area, it is important to individually address setbacks in a project than to go to a group of stakeholders and drop the bomb on them.
It is evident that amongst the key skills required of a Project Manager the most essential is communication. This determines the tone, the pace, effectiveness and eventual outcome of the project. Every communication must be tailored to suit the nuances of each stakeholder. As a good Project Manager one must do proper research on all stake holders, have planned communication plan for each of them written down. Also there must me drive and inclusiveness of all team members. The importance of effective communication cannot be over emphasized, when there is proper communication there is oneness in action and a collective desire for progress.
As a project manager, effective communication with stakeholders can make all the differences when it comes to building strategy relationships, making smarter decisions and managing risk. Consistency is key and communication with stakeholders should be regular and predictable.
Every project has different approach including the company you work with as project manager communication is vital, and approach to solving this challenges that comes along is the real beauty of a project manager
As a project manager, constant communication with stakeholders will help to keep the project in progress,it is also important for a project manager to have communication plans written down, know how to talk to different stakeholders at what point in time and also getting their feedback
As a project manager, challenges or bad news are inevitable in a project. The main point in project management is knowing how to adapt to any changes that may occur if need be, and still maintain pattern
As a project manager, you’ll inevitably encounter obstacles. However, by communicating transparently and proactively with stakeholders, you can turn challenges into opportunities for growth and success.
Key Communication Strategies:
1. Transparency: Share challenges openly to avoid surprises.
2. Timeliness: Communicate promptly to address issues.
3. Solutions-focused: Present viable solutions alongside challenges.
4. Collaboration: Engage stakeholders in problem-solving.
5. Regular Updates: Provide progress reports
As a project manager, I will always make sure that I communicate effectively with the stakeholders, always giving them reports of the happenings in the project, Having individual discussions with them. Communicating with the sponsor is also of paramount important. They should be notified of the progress of the project, because this will enhance continuous inflow of resources to the project. Even when there is bad news, it is the responsibility of the project manager to communicate to everyone about it.
As a project manager, challenges or bad news are inevitable in a project.Discuss with the different stakeholders but you must have provided solutions to the challenges,it helps stakeholders know you are capable of bringing the project to a good end.
In my role as a project manager, I believe that maintaining constant communication with stakeholders is essential. I will adapt my approach to align with each stakeholder’s preferred communication style to foster collaboration. Additionally, I will ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed about the project’s progress, promoting transparency and building trust throughout the process
Maintaining consistent and timely communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment, address concerns, and provide progress updates
Embracing transparency and openness in communication, Promptly sharing challenging information and don’t be afraid to communicate bad news.
Communicating with the stake holders required written communication plan and style.Assuring them on the project by choosing your words and communication styles. Also never be afraid to communicate bad news and never communicate bad news on the first day with the stakeholders.
In my role, keeping stakeholders engaged and informed is essential, so some of the communication strategies from the project managers in the video really struck a chord with me.
One key takeaway was about adapting communication style to fit each person’s needs. For example, clients often want a clear picture of where things stand, but some prefer a quick summary, while others appreciate a more detailed report. Team members, on the other hand, need quick, to-the-point updates to keep tasks moving. I’ve found that matching my style to each person’s preference helps keep everyone connected without overloading them.
Another practical strategy is being open and transparent, especially when things don’t go as planned. I try to communicate regularly, sharing both wins and any roadblocks we might hit. If there’s a delay, for instance, I make sure to address it right away and let stakeholders know what I’m doing to get things back on track. This approach helps build trust—they know I’m being straight with them and that I’m actively managing any bumps in the road.
Finally, I’ve found that visual tools make complex updates a lot easier to digest. For instance, using tools like Asana or even a quick chart can give clients a snapshot of progress without overwhelming them. It’s a straightforward way to make sure everyone, from clients to teammates, has the information they need, right when they need it.
I will explore communicating with stakeholders constantly, with a concise and clear written communication plan. This will help you keep the right data and ensure you do not forget the important discussion points.
Constant communication with stakeholders is essential. I believe in always having a plan, so for my first meeting with a stakeholder, I would already have a communication plan and tailor it to the stakeholder. It will go like this; does the stakeholder prefer regular updates? Does the stakeholder prefer a written report or a presentation?
As a project manager, the technique that I will employ for a project is constant communication with the Stakeholders and tailor it to each Stakeholders communication style.
I will also keep them informed of the project’s progress to ensure transparency
As a Project Manager, the techniques that would work best for me would be, sharing bad news to the stakeholders individually, rather than dropping a bombshell to a group of stakeholders. Another technique would be to find out the style of communication that will work best for each stakeholder and tailor it to them individually as well; find out what mode of communication each person is comfortable with and adjust the style where and when necessary.
As a project manager constant communication with the stakeholders is very important. By giving them report on the progress of the project in case there are any push up backs, or additional equipment required. The stakeholders feedback is important too
Being proactive in terms of communication as a project manager with stakeholders, team members is important key to bringing the project into a beautiful and exceptional conclusion.
As communication helps to see laps, problems that need urgent attention, being informed of every stages of the project process.
Having constant communication with the stakeholders is very essential at each stage of the project, it’s good to carry them along.
Even when you have a negative report, try and meet the stakeholders individually so that they will not be caught unaware.
Communication is important.
Having accurate information is essential for effective communication, as it often helps prevent issues from arising. I also appreciated the insight from one of the PMs about adapting our communication style to suit the individual we’re engaging with—it truly makes an impact. Plus, if there’s bad news to deliver, it’s beneficial to bring possible solutions along with it.
Constant communication with the stakeholders cannot be over emphasized because it helps both the project manager and the clients to be on the same clear page on the project. I also agree with the part of being discreet in the dissemination of bad news about the project to the stakeholders or clients.
As much as communication is important in project management, knowing what, how and when to communicate is very crucial. Understanding the team or individual you are also communicating with helps you tailor your communication properly without compromising your values or the project or organisational values.
As a project manager, constant communication with the stakeholders cannot be over emphasized because it helps both the project manager and the clients to be on the same clear page on the project. I also agree with the part of being discreet in the dissemination of bad news about the project to the stakeholders or clients. Adegoke Oluwafunmilayo Oluwabukola
As a project manager, the importance of Good and intentional communication can not be overemphasized as it helps to reduce the risk of misunderstandings and keep the project moving forward by effectively communicating expectations, goals, and tasks.
I believe for every aspect of communication getting the right information is very important. I foresee problems through communication as well.
I also resonated with when one of the PM’s said tailor our communication style to the person you are talking to. It works every time. When bringing bad news also come with solutions.
In my role, constant communication and a written communication system are both crucial strategies that fit well with our needs. Constant communication ensures that our team members, partners, and clients are always in sync, especially as we handle diverse projects like events and concierge services. With the fast-paced nature of entertainment, updates and decisions often need to be made on the go, so keeping everyone on the same page through frequent communication is key.
A written communication system helps in creating a reference point for every aspect of our projects. For instance, documenting our communication keeps track of decisions made, responsibilities assigned, and timelines set. This is especially beneficial for our larger events, where multiple stakeholders are involved, as it reduces misunderstandings and provides clear guidelines for everyone involved.
In my organization communication and empathy are important because we deal with different people from different backgrounds, hence we have to trade carefully. communication is important because it improves teamwork and problem-solving.
My leadership philosophy will emphasize recognizing and appreciating exceptional performance on all projects. Hence, effective communication serves as the cornerstone of our collaborative approach, enabling us to navigate challenges and drive project success as a team involving all stakeholders.
In my organization context, understanding the value of feedbacks through a 2 – way communication is key for Project reporting, monitoring and evaluation at the end of the prject
Communication is very essential when engaging with state holders at all levels so that they know their role and deliverables in every step of the project and the project manager should provide feedback to stakeholders in a timely manner
As a project manager, communication is one of the most important skills needed in order to pass information and gain success in project management. Also without good communication there will be a barrier in gaining investment and convincing people on your business ideas.
As a project manager communication is the most important skill needed. Giving constant reports to the client or sponsors and also checking in regularly with the team members for updates as regards task execution and deadlines.
Communication is key in project management. As a project manager, you need to always be in contact with stakeholders and make plans on how to interact with them. This communication is key to foreseen problems during the project. Don’t be afraid to bring Negative feedback to a meeting, but be strategic about it ( meaning speak to other colleagues before making the decision).
Communication skills are one of the most important skills to have as a project manager. You need to be able to give information smoothly to all the stakeholders involved in the project.
Communication is very important and I recently came to acknowledge the need for a communication plan in every project. In some cases, there’s a lot of information sources in the team and project, some contradictory, causing confusion in the project when not perfectly aligned. The factor of timelines in communication can also not be underestimated. Untimely communication is as good as bad news.
As a project manager communication is the most important skill needed. Giving constant reports to the client or sponsors and also checking up regularly on the team members for updates as regards task execution and deadlines
As a Project manager, communication is key. Before scheduling and during meetings I must ensure the following:
– all key points must be well organized and planned.
– when reporting, commence with the progress made so far in the project and end with the challenges and next steps.
– also, don’t be afraid to tell the stakeholders the bad news but be strategic about it (one on one communication could help before informing them altogether).
Communication is very important most especially with client in or to carry them along Incase of changes or addition to be made on the project. And this is done through reporting, which is key for everyone in the team to know the level of progress made on the project.
And when reporting, I make sure that if there is any bad news. It comes towards the end of the meeting.
As a Project Manager, it is critical that your communication is clear and targeted to the appropriate audience. Keep everyone on the same timetable, and avoid delivering unpleasant news for the first time in a group environment, as this might elicit negative responses. Instead, meet with key individuals ahead of time to discuss potential difficulties and prepare them for group conversations. Continuous communication with all parties—clients, team members, and stakeholders—is required. It aids in the early detection of possible concerns, allowing you to assess possibilities and provide remedies ahead of time.
Communication plays a crucial and vital role in any field of endeavour because if there’s no communication, there will be no relationship. So from the perspective of the three speakers, I think they all listed out enough reasons why communication is paramount like reaching out to clients on a daily basis, checking up for feedbacks and lots more.
So I believe Communication should be fully utilized and maximised.
All contributions from the project managers applies. Their approach to communication aligns well in my situation. Take for instance, proactive communication, keeping them updated on new developments in the projects whether favourable or not. In my organisation, dealing with latter(badnews) can be tricky, but thankfully one the project manager’s contribution is invaluable in this situation. He specified a more reasonable way to convey the information to stakeholders but most importantly, ideas on solutions should have been on ground.
Communicating with stakeholders during a project is very paramount as this would enable the right information to be dispersed, at the appropriate time to avoid slowing down the project due to inadequate communication flow..
In the context of my organization, one important strategy is implementing regular communication channels, such as team meetings and progress updates, helps ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project objectives. Another strategy is encouraging collaboration across departments which fosters teamwork, and allows diverse expertise to contribute to problem-solving and innovation.
Communicating with stakeholders is of great importance to the Project Manager. The PM should document and highlight all information to be shared with stakeholders, understand each stakeholder’s communication style, prioritize time management, and encourage feedback. Regular project reports should be shared, and the PM should always be open to providing new information.
Relating to my organisation, you need to be a people oriented person to get daily feedback from all lines of control no matter how irrelevant and that gives you the opportunity to prioritise what needs to be communicated to the stakeholders, at what point and, how you should tailor your communication to boost stakeholders confidence and facilitate decision making and overall success.
My own thoughts on communicating with stakeholders is Proactive communication which involves anticipating and addressing stakeholders’ information needs, concerns, and expectations throughout the project lifecycle. I will d evelop a Communication Plan:
1. Define stakeholders, communication channels, and frequency.
Stakeholder
2. Analysis: Identify key stakeholders and their communication preferences.
3.Project Kick-Off Meeting: Set clear expectations and objectives.
Communicating with stakeholders involves the PM engaging the stakeholders on a one-on-one discussion to understand them individually, this helps to shape the PM’s style of communication when reporting and communicating with the stakeholders. It is best to have written report that outlines the particular team or stakeholder at a time; understanding that it can be a bit confusing to report issues to different audience makes a written report pertinent. Analyzing issues by doing a lot of research to come up with positives ideas to culminate arising issues will help the project progress to stay on track. Being tactful and sensitive to situations; also being meticulous and proactive goes a long way to prevent errors and delays.
As a Project manager, It is expedient to tailor your report to the right audience, ensure everyone is in the same time schedule, Remember not to bring bad news for the first time on a table it may give a bad view from the audience, meet individually with everyone involved before bringing it to the forum, Constant communication is necessary with all all lines of control, even to the team as communication helps us foresee problems, so we can analyze options and proffer solution before hand.
When dealing with certain information there should be Clarity of information that is been hand picked before communicated to the stakeholders involved to avoid misinterpretation so as a project manager this should be highly emphasized
As a P.M the importance of constant communication between clients/stakeholders, team members and everyone involved in a project cannot be overemphasised. It will help the project move faster and the assurance of a positive result is guaranteed.
Before any first general meeting with the stakeholders, it is important I communicate individually to the stalkholders any bad news regarding the project, that way, it won’t come as a shock to them during the meeting and also gives me a soft landing in the meeting
Good communication goes a long way in project management. It helps keeps the team on track; what we are missing, areas of improvements, deadlines etc
For me it’s still effective communication, getting to know the project, and all the factors involved in it can make you stress free, and also never be afraid of unforseen circumstances.
Effective communication is a key to foreseeing problems and tailoring communication in a way to suit the person you are committing to is essential as well.
“Never be afraid to share bad news”
Effective communication skills is very important as a Project manager. You mist be able to communicate effectively to all stakeholders whether good or bad news. This is the only way the project can be completed within the deadline.
A project manager needs effective communication with all the stakeholders to achieve desire goals seamlessly.
Two out the three options of communications can also be combined or even the whole as the case maybe. As they both portray good intentions.
Reporting helps so that everyone is aware of where what is in the project that is being carried out.
It is also beneficial to me to have to report individually to the stakeholders before the general meeting, so that the news doesn’t come as a shock and that way communication will be easier.
Communication with the sponsor/stakeholders is very important in project management. It’s also important to tailor communication styles to the person in front of me. Adopt a communication style that suits the person one is working with.
In my organisation, reporting is sancrosanct. This helps in knowing the level of progress in a project. The sponsor/line managers will update the project manager in detail how far they have gone. This report which is normally documented breaks down the success achieved, the expenses, failures/challenges encountered, expenses, and finally recommendations. The report briefing holds once a week where all the line managers submit their reports to the Chairman (Project Manager).
Reporting has been a useful strategy in executing project in my organisation.
Communicating with the stakeholders leads to clarity and transparency of the project. This way everyone is informed. if the budget needs to be fixed, the PM needs to communicate with the stakeholders on why the previous budget did not work. Bad news should also be communicated and discussed to tackle it effectively for the progress of the project.
Regular communication is essential in project management. The way a project manager communicates to team may not be the same he does to his line manager and clients. Therefore the style of communication must be tailored for clarity and to suit the level of interest for the project.
Communicating with clients can pose a daunting task for the Project Manager in the sense that he has to know the client’s current state of mind without asking. He/she has to be able to read nonverbal cues displayed by the client and adapt accordingly. He/she also has to be able to communicate necessary diversions and future challenges foreseen to the client and his team in such a manner that the client will be pleased with his/her foresight.
Communication is essential and very vital for a project manager, keeping the investors informed about the progress can go a long way during the setting up and finishing of the project. In situations where problems are encountered is important to discuss with stakeholders individually in other to avoid having doubts and distrust arising, i also agree with the project manager that suggested checking out the various options and possible solution.
My key take away from the discussion.
Have a written down communication plan.
Regular contact with those on the ground.
Do not be afraid to bring bad news to the table.
Constant communication with clients.
Communication is a vital part of every project. As project manager the flow of communication between the sponsor. Clients, team members and peers helps the project manager know when if everything is going on well, if project is running behind schedule or not.
Communication is a vital tool in projects.
I try as much as possible to communicate with my clients, on progress, delay in any form and risks in the project. This communication helps me build strong relationship and trust with my stakeholders.
I plan my communication before bringing it to the table, and I also have a written down communication with everyone on my team and I also encourage feedback, so I don’t appear to be a know it all.
According to the three project managers in the video, communication with stakeholders is critical to every project’s success. The most important people we need to keep communicating with are the investors because they are responsible for the initiative and funding of the project. And if there should be changes or additions, our constant communication will enable us to make the necessary adjustments. Moreover, if there is a need for additional pieces of equipment, it will be easily made available.
I will make sure I communicate with the investor every day so that we may be on the same page. And again, suppose there is a challenge, I will follow the advice of the project who said one must avoid dropping bad news in a general stakeholders meeting, as it could be disastrous. I would rather discuss it with different units individually before I bring the matter to the general table. Also, I must have personally done my homework so that I can come up with options concerning the challenge,
Communication is an essential skill for a project manager. A Project Manager needs to communicate effectively with stakeholders and always ensure to give progress report and feedback on a project because effective communication is a key to deliver a successful project.
Communication is key to success in project management. Just as the three speakers explained in the video. In my view, communication in project management is guided by four principles based on the three speakers.
Key Principles
1. Identify and analyze stakeholders: Determine who they are, their interests, expectations, and influence level. Don’t generalise the dissemination of information.
2. Develop a communication plan and style: Communication should be verbal and written for record purposes and future references. Outline stakeholder needs, communication channels, frequency, and responsible team members.
3. Transparency and honesty: Provide accurate, timely, and clear information.
4. Active listening: Encourage feedback and address concerns.
Develop Effective Communication Strategies
1. Regular updates and progress reports both in writing verbal, graphical and pictorial forms
2. Tailor communication to stakeholder needs and preferences. In other words, information should be disseminated based on roles and involvement to avoid ambiguity.
3. Use multiple communication channels (email, meetings, reports, phone calls)
4. Clarify expectations and requirements
5. Address conflicts and issues promptly. Don’t shy away from disclosing and discussing negative information. Bad news sometimes has its way of invigorating energy into actions. Above, master the art of presenting information.
As a project manager, I believe communication is very key, not just in project management but in all other fields. My experience as a secretary and personal assistant taught me that being able to communicate clearly with my boss, giving accurate details and information as to what we needed help made the job easier.
Timely communication is essential for a PM. Knowing exactly how to communicate Stakeholders is also very important and discussing bad news individually will help in arriving at a speedy solution.
Constant communication to keep everyone abress with progress on the project, changes that needs to be made in the course of the project.
Tailoring communication to soothe individual stakeholders based on their level of comprehension and individual differences.
Being sensitive to feedback to be able to ascertain their acceptance and reactions to your ideas and their level of supports to deliver the project.
Mastering the art of not shying away from bad news, and most importantly adapting to each stakeholders comprehension style thereby achieving active communication and participation of the stakeholders
Communication is a “must have” skill as a project manager. The project manager must communicate always with the stakeholders, especially the project sponsor, who will always be involved at every stage of the project, be it in changes, funding, or additional funding. Through communication, it will be agreed before any step will be taken. communication could be written through emails, oral or physical meeting as the case may be.
Communication is a vital skill for every Project Manager. A project manager should map out and understand every stakeholder involved in a project and determine the most effective communication strategy or have a communication plan per stakeholder: the sponsors, clients, project team, and peers. Most importantly, a project manager should pay attention to the flow of information to sponsors. At the onset, meeting with the sponsors should specify the project objective and clarify the needed information and details according to the sponsor’s needs and expectations. A good project manager should update the stakeholders regularly and ensure everyone understands the degree of the progress or bottlenecks of the project.
One fantastic clue I got from this learning is not to be afraid to bring bad news to the table, but before you do so, you must have analyzed all the possible solution options. Moreover, never present bad news for the first time in the general meeting where you have all the stakeholders in attendance. It is better to meet them individually before the governance forum.

Communication is one of the most important thing as a project manager because it tends to help you know and relate well with your stakeholders. The method you use in communicating should be different for every client tho it’s dependant on the stakeholder.
Communication is key when it comes to project management. As a project manager, you have to communicate effectively with your stakeholders at every stage of the project and provide reports on the project’s progress for feedback.
Effective communication with different stakeholders requires tailoring your approach to their individual needs. When communicating with someone who is analytical, present your message with evidence and data. For those who are people-oriented, focus on the emotional impact of your message.

Communication, communication Open communication is the way to succeed as a Project Manager. Before and during any project, a good project manager would plan communication styles to be used while on a project and must follow through with different stakeholders at the right time

Yes communication is the number one role of a project manager
He has to be up and doing in updating both the stake holder and the team members of the level of work or even when issues arises so they too will be carried along as the work progresses

Communicating is the number one role in a business,if you don’t have a communication with your client how will your business improve? And is very important you have a clear understanding of what you are bringing to the table to your stakeholders. Effective communication clarify what information is needed
In the organization there have been stages in a project, I had to present to the Stakeholders the proceeds of the project and adopt a Tailored type of Communication to present the proceeds of the project to the stakeholders.
In communicating with stakeholders, it’s important that you have clear written communication and points and datas that you would want to discuss/analyze. This not only brings to mind what needs to be discussed but keeps you on point. You get to know where in the project you are, if you’re at the centre of the desired outcome of the clients, what methodology to adopt or discard. Reporting is very important and working on realistic time schedule. Let your financial offer correspond to the value you’re offering and what they expect. Make sure you communicate the challenges encountered no matter how bad they are with possible analysed solutions which you also make open for deliberations. Never bring this bad news in a forum or meeting where all the stakeholders are present. Discuss individually with the stakeholders before any board meeting that way there won’t be surprises and you can have smooth deliberation.
Effective communication is an essential part of our business. As a market research organisation, we do a lot of interface with stakeholders – clients, sponsors, team members and field operators. For every project, there is always a project briefing with the client to understand the project needs, this is later communicated to the sponsor with the estimated budget for the project. Finally, the project execution team is briefed on the methodology, timeline, and other deliverables and there is a constant follow up to ensure compliance with guidelines.
Effective Communication ensures seamless flow of project because parties understand their role and deliveres optimally.
When communicating with stakeholders, it is important to speak the language they understand. You cannot communicate with all stakeholders the same way. As a project manager, you need to find out what catches and holds the stake holder’s attention and communicate with him with that in mind.
It’s necessary to speak daily with clients, teams to make sure they are up to date with planning changes, additions and also third parties to make sure extra supplies needed are provided on time.
Tailoring communication styles to the person that is being addressed individually. Having a clear stakeholders map will help with this which will show how to interact, advice and work with each stakeholder.
While talking to stakeholders, having a communication plan will help pass across the key messages and also it’s vital to get feedbacks on the communication style and adapt where necessary but making sure it’s supporting the project and my personality.
Keeping up with teams who are getting the job done in order to keep them in frame of the deadline and keeping up with their requirements.

I tailor my communication approach to the individual members of the stakeholders and the team generally.
This is because after studying them and knowing what works best for them and how they think, it helps me communicate better and achieve results.
Effective communication with stakeholders is very relevant because it helps the pm to know how progressive the project is and work on area his lacking as communication is the key to every successful project
The goal of a project manager is to ensure that the objectives and purpose of their client/organization is achieved and effective communication with team members is essential as it determines the success of the organization or project.
Effective communication with stakeholders is very important because it is very necessary to the survival of the project.
As a project manager it is very important to carry each and every stakeholder no matter the position they occupy or their function in the project.
one of the major point taken is that it helps to make good and better decisions.
Effective communication with stakeholders is critical to the success of any project because
Develops Trust: Openness and trust are fostered by regular communication, which gives stakeholders confidence in the project’s advancement and administration.
Manages Expectations: By keeping stakeholders informed about the project’s objectives, schedule, and scope, clear communication helps to avoid misunderstandings.
Facilitates Better Decision-Making: Insights from stakeholder feedback are invaluable in helping to identify possible risks early on and to make more informed decisions.
Encourages Engagement: Keeping stakeholders informed and involved strengthens their dedication to the project and increases the likelihood that they will back its accomplishment.
Reduces Risks: Early resolution of issues and conflicts through effective communication lessens resistance and lowers the likelihood of project delays or failure.
Guarantees Compliance: By meeting legal and regulatory requirements on time, possible legal or operational problems can be avoided.
Depending on the kind of project but putting down the steps and communicate those plans with the stakeholder is the best for me to know their take on such plans.
The strategies of communication in my organization are constant contact between the team lead or project manager, team members, stakeholders and clients. These can be hybrid meetings.
As a project manager, communication is a basis of making any project successful. having an individual conversation with the stakeholders gives head up to knowing what interest them in the project and thereby help to work toward fulfilling it.
As a project manager, communication is the basic necessity in making a project work successful. When there’s a challenge, a problem, talking to your team and especially your sponsors to see if anyone has better idea on how to make it work successfully and achieve same goal.
I have to know that they key to a successful project is constant communication, I have to tailor the communication style to the stakeholder I’m communicating with. It’s also important for me to get feedbacks on how my communication style is working for them.
Communication is very important in the life of a project. Hence having a good strategy for communication during the period of a project will help in ensuring proper dissemination of information. Some strategies in communication that can help is having a constant communication with the client and project teams,Taking into consideration the nature/personality of the person in front of you, getting proper feedback from stakeholders, having proper reports presented at meetings that have been scheduled ensuring that any issues that arise are properly and promptly addressed, don’t be afraid of bringing bad news rather ensure proper homework on the issue is carried out before tabling it and if possible proffer a solution.
The better we communicate our goals and plan for change, the more people will understand the vision and be likely to support the change efforts. Strategy is important: Who, why, and how? Communication should focus on programmatic goals. Plans for communication should be practical and doable.
As a project manager know that your style of communication is crucial to the success of any project.
Plan your communication in advance, with attention to your style of communicating.
Bring in evidence to back up claims and donot be afraid to bring bad news to the table. LOUIS AMOS
Communication is very vital in all endeavours in life. as a project manager involved in the construction industry, I need to send constant and up to date information to my sponsors/ clients on the progress of the project(s), milestones reached, activities yet to be done and the timelines required. Also, they must be informed of any bad news, though individually and the possible solutions outlined to address them. Of importance is my regular communication with my project team. They need to be abreast with whatever adjustments and changes made on the project and what must be done to effect them without altering the project scope and deadline. My company management, 3drd party contractors, local authorities ang host communities must also be included in the chain of stakeholders to communicate with.
I have to know that they key to a successful project is constant communication, I have to tailor the communication style to the stakeholder I’m communicating with. It’s also important for me to get feedbacks on how my communication style is working for them. I have to make sure myself and the stakeholders are all working and communicating on the same time schedule. I shouldn’t be afraid to bring bad news, but it’s usually best to be inform and communicate with the stakeholders individually first, so they can process it before bringing it to a meeting. And it’s important to have analyzed all options and try to bring possible solutions.
It’s important I carry the stakeholders along with the progress of the project, not be afraid to drop bad news but must be careful not to bring in the bad news first and it will be safe to have possible solutions to the problem on ground.
All the communication strategies suggested by the three project managers apply perfectly my situation but what resonated most with me is that i should never spring bad news on the stakeholders. However, as a project manager i am not supposed to shy away from sharing the “bad news” rather the best approach should be to have a one-on-one discussions with them so they are not caught unawares during the general discussion.
As a project manager in the healthcare sector, here are some additional communication strategies that apply well:
1. Tailored communication in a clear and concise language that is adaptable to who I am communicating with.
2. Active Listening
3. Feedback Mechanism
4. cultural sensitivity
5. Transparency and Honesty
6, Communication planning/Technology-Enabled planning
7. Regular Progress Updates
8. Interprofessional collaboration.
6. Stakeholders Analysis
Communication is important to ensuring the success of the project. Carrying appropriate stakeholders along on each project is key to achieving the project’s success.
As a project manager I understand the importance of communication especially when it comes to carrying the team members, stakeholder and the clients along in every step for them to be updated timely
The main key points I gathered are:
1. Communication with stakeholders and even clients is very vital so everybody under stands what’s at stake.
2. Tailor your communication style so that the person you’re communicating with can understand you.
3. It’s good to have feedback from your team on your communication style and on whether it works for them.
4. A good Project Manager communicates with his team and clients to address time management, if the offer that was made is okay with them, budget, and so on.
5. Never bring bad news for the first time on the general table. It’s always better to inform all the stakeholders individually before announcing it generally so that, by then, they must have all gotten an idea of what it is about.
Communicating with Stakeholder
Constant communication with stakeholders is key to project managers and also the medium at which the message is communicated is very important you must know the right message to pass across and also feedback is very important that shows that the message passed across was either understood or misunderstood
Reports should also be submitted and as project managers we should not be afraid to speak as it is our duties to ensure that issues are resolved
I came to understand that communucation is key to every successfull project and that as a project manager, you cannot not communicate.
Moreso, while it is important to communicate with stakeholders, it is important to understand their personality and temperament as this would help the project manager know how best to communicate issues to them, be it positive or negative.
first and foremost, communication plays an important role in our daily lives and activities, As a Project Manager with an understanding that communication is a key essential and clients must be carried along and confirm the update that he/she may like to impact. communication must be my highest priority as i am the middle man between my client and stakeholders . Communication with the stakeholders and project team is very important and I will learn to be comfortable be if positive or negative because my end result is customer satisfaction and growth of my company.
Communication is very essential but knowing how and when to give information is very crucial. I particularly liked the input about meeting stakeholders individually to divulge a “bad news” before a major meeting. I believe it also helps stakeholders already start thinking of ways the issue can be resolved. This will ensure a more productive and constructive meeting when these difficult issues come up during a major meeting.
Communication is essential, more so, how you do communicate to the stakeholder(s) is equally important as not all of them are on the same level of comprehension. Get clarification on their needs, set up a communication plan on how frequently the reporting stream will flow, so that they are well informed and managed appropriately.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to communicate issues, though the first time shouldn’t be in a room of all the stakeholders. When communicating issues, proffer possible solutions as this provides a soft landing.
As a Project Manager, I understand that communication is very important and I should first of all ask my client the update that he/she will like me to be updating them from time to time to avoid confusion. Communication with the stakeholders and project team is very important and I will learn to be comfortable with bad news as well.
Communication in project management is very crucial and shouldn’t be overlooked because it enable project manager to forsee problem.
While communicating with the stakeholders as a project manager, ensure you always have everything down on communication plan and note the key messages.
I understand that constant communication is important, You have to communicate on a daily bases in case of any change. Also you need to write out all the plans as you are talking to all your stakeholders. Reporting issues shows your level of progress in the team.
All the strategies suggested by the project managers apply well in our situation.
1: Regular communication: Constantly communicating with the client and all lines of control is key to maintaining the flow of information, foresee problems and proffer solutions. When the client understands how the system works it will help him to make his decision and accommodate necessary changes if need be.
2) Communication style is very important in order to make sure that everyone is carried along, for example some of the stakeholders are action oriented, some are people oriented while some are analytical, the project manager needs to tailor his communication style to reach or meet the needs of the stakeholders and that will contribute to the success of the project.
3) Reporting is very important to ensure that everyone understands the level of progress of the project.
As a project manager I have come to understand that constant communication with all lines of controls. Speaking to the clients and carrying them along is very important.
Secondly, as a project manager, I shouldn’t be afraid bringing bad news to the table if any challenge is encountered along the line.
But that “Bad News” shouldn’t be brought to the table when having a first time meeting with the stakeholders.
Discussing with each of the stakeholders one after the other, should be done so you don’t take them unaware and so the news doesn’t come like a bomb shell.
Discussing all the challenges with them and proferring solutions to these challenges is just the best way to address and resolve issues.
N/B: One of the roles of a Project Manager is to make sure issues are addressed and as well resolved.
have learnt that it is paramount on most project to neglect a certain stakeholders which is the sponsor, but as a good project manager you must have a regular communications with these people among other members on the project, from the beginning of the project you must understand what the stakeholders want, how ,why, when, and as the project progresses you must intimate about it and in a situation of bad news don’t know present it to all the stakeholders at once in a same meeting but try to have done a one on one discussions about the said matter and possibly make them see how you intend solving the issues. honesty and transparency is equally important in order to have a project free of distrust either from the stakeholders or the team members.
Communication is a crucial aspect of any Project Management. When communications are been transparent. it makes the project has less errors, and also makes the stakeholders to know the processes of the project.
I understand that firstly you do not neglect your client to do things on your own as they should be carried along and the processes shared with them. Ensuring you you are always positive with your reports .
The strategies that apply well in my situation is the ability to have a map out everything that needs to be communicated to the stakeholders and having a flow of how you want to communicate it.
Another strategy is not dropping a bad news in a meeting of all the stakeholders and it is better to inform each individually before the main meeting .

In communicating with the stalk holders of any project, you need to meet with them to know their expectations in the project at hand, give them necessary information that wil build their trust in the project and enhanced their agreement with the project
The strategies that apply well in my situation is the ability to have a map out everything that needs to be communicated to the stakeholders and having a flow of how you want to communicate it.
Another strategy is not dropping a bad news in a meeting of all the stakeholders and it is better to inform each individually before the main meeting .
I resonate well with the idea of not breaking bad news where all stakeholders are gathered. Instead, it is better to speak with each stakeholder individually before discussing it during a meeting where they are all assembled. Doing this ensures that each stakeholder has already processed the information and formed an opinion that will enhance the discussion positively.
Embracing different communication styles is a very necessary skill for a project manager.
Communication is a critical skill that all project managers must master. Reporting keeps the stakeholder in the know of the present situation of the project
I have learnt that I should never break negative news in a meeting where there are Stakeholders! Doing so is like dropping a bombshell and this could affect the project negatively! It is better to meet each Stakeholder privately to discuss about the negative occurrence than saying it in a general meeting. As a project manager, one must learn to address all issues and proffer solutions that will not have negative effect on the project being worked on.
One critical factor of all the project life-cycle, is communication with stakeholders. They are the main force behind the project success and they must be given first preference at all times. Clarity and precision is encouraged and highly esteemed. The role the stakeholders play is huge and they deserve exclusive interaction. Transparency and timelines is key, also financial disclosure must always be engaged
Communication is very crucial in every project management process.Reporting helps the stakeholders to know the level of the project and to know when and how the capital is being invested into the project.
Effective and regular communication from a project manager to stakeholders in an ongoing project has numerous advantages, including but not limited to clear expectations, increased trust, issue resolution, enhanced reputation, reduced Conflicts, increased productivity, better decision-making, risk management, and project success.
In overall by prioritizing effective and regular communication, a project manager can successfully navigate complex projects with ease, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and project success.
Effective and regular communication with Stakeholders is crucial to achieving a successful Project. Priority should also be given to Stakeholders who are major influencers to the Project especially Sponsors.
Few points deduced and also applicable at my Organization are:
Communication should be regular, planned and structured
Stakeholder expectation should be recognized to build communication with clarity and direction
Engaging stakeholder through regular feedback is crucial to keep trust.
Communication is one core value that is upheld in my organization, specifically feedbacks and reports concerning small and medium projects carried out. I have discovered that not giving feedbacks promptly could lead into some unwanted problems that could escalate into bigger problems. Prompt feedback is key in communication between the project manager and clients, project manager and everyone involved in the project. Another thing is bringing bad news; we tend to want to keep things when they go wrong but keeping bad news only will bring in a worse thing. So as rightly said by one of the project manager in the video, “Don’t be afraid to bring bad news to the table”
There is no one-size fit all when communicating with stakeholders. A project manager should be able to tailor his/her communication based on the stakeholder. for example in dealing with an analytical stakeholders, the project manager should have presentable data. Also, having a communication plan is always very useful.
Communication is vital in project management and also in our personal life
1. **Clarity and Understanding**: Clear communication ensures that all team members understand the project goals, tasks, responsibilities, and timelines. This reduces misunderstandings and errors.
2. **Coordination**: Effective communication helps coordinate activities among team members, departments, and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives.
3. **Problem-Solving**: Open lines of communication facilitate the identification and resolution of issues promptly, minimizing disruptions and keeping the project on track.
4. **Stakeholder Engagement**: Keeping stakeholders informed and engaged through regular updates and feedback helps manage their expectations and gain their support.
5. **Risk Management**: Communicating potential risks and issues allows the team to address them proactively, reducing the likelihood of project delays or failures.
6. **Decision-Making**: Good communication provides the necessary information for making informed decisions quickly, which is crucial in a dynamic project environment.
7. **Team Morale**: Regular and positive communication fosters a collaborative and supportive team environment, boosting morale and productivity.
In summary, communication is the backbone of successful project management, enabling coordination, problem-solving, and alignment among all involved parties.
According to my organizational context communication plays a vital role in client engagement, communication with the health care team to ensure cohesive patient care. It also entails communication with stakeholders for progress reports.

I learnt that communication plays a vital role in project management as a project manager, you communicate with the sponsors and the project team.
At the beginning of any project a project manager should meet with the sponsors to clarify certain information.
This is crucial because sometimes sponsors may not be an expert in the project at hand, so communicating with them wil enhanced their agreement with the project
I learnt here that communication is very important at all stages of the project. and it is usually advisable to set the tone and mode of communication from the beginning of the project. and there are different ways of communicating with different stakeholders, and that at critical stage in a project we should not drop certain news especially bad ones at a round table meeting involving the different stakeholders but individually communicate with them to keep them in the know before a general meeting. you should have a transparent means of communication
When it has to with dealing with people communication is very vital in all aspects. So, as a project manager, knowing what to say, how to say it, when to say it, and to who is a crucial skill to develop. Oftentimes, the unexpected happens in the cause of executing the project, which are mostly negative scenarios. It’s expected that as a project manager, you have to be brave with a good sense of emotional intelligence to be able to relate with stakeholders effectively at all times.
Communication is basically the key to a successful project management process. But, while it’s a key, there are some kind of communication(s) (BAD NEWS) that might tend to demoralize stakeholders. Now, just like they said in the video, “Don’t be afraid to bring bad news on the table”. A problem shared is a problem solved!
Effective communication is the key criteria for a successful project management. From the video, constant communication with all the stakeholders on a regular basis, with key evidence such as data proof will inspire them and give them more clarification.
For a project to be successful, communication has to be a clear, constant, timely and should be done in the right space.
As a project manager, there is need to understand that the communication is a two way street.
Each stakeholder must be understood and communicated with using the right channel.
Communication can not be rule out when aiming a successful project. The project manager must always communicate with the client and other project stakeholders.
The communication should be clear, understand and documented for follow up and future reference.
I’m an avid believer of clear and concise communication and it shouldnt be any different for businesses as well as people invest both time, talent and resources into things like this.
For stakeholders,I believe they shouldn’t be left out as they are the head holding a particular project together, they should be very much aware of the progress that is being made in the project and the downsides as well, this would enable both stakeholders and project managers know where and how to tackle whatever issues may arise or not.
I find it effective to discuss bad news with stakeholders individually before a meeting. This approach allows me to identify potential issues in advance and demonstrate preparedness as a project manager. It builds trust and shows stakeholders that I am proactive and competent, increasing their confidence in my abilities.
Being empathetic with stakeholders
Ensuring daily communication with stakeholders
Tailoring down communication style so stakeholders can understand the process
Considering my organizational context, the following strategies suggested by project managers apply well:
1. Communication: Regular team meetings, clear documentation, and open channels for feedback and questions.
2. Time management: Prioritizing tasks, setting realistic deadlines, and using project management tools to track progress.
3. Continual professional development: Encouraging training, workshops, and knowledge sharing sessions to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
4. Ethics and adherence to standards: Establishing clear guidelines, conducting regular audits, and promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
The following strategies require adaptation to fit my context:
1. Negotiation: While negotiation skills are essential, our organization’s hierarchical structure may limit the need for negotiation with external stakeholders.
2. Understanding the regulatory environment: While important, our organization has a dedicated compliance team, so I can rely on their expertise.
To apply these strategies effectively, I would:
– Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for improvement
– Develop a tailored plan to address specific challenges
– Seek support from leadership and stakeholders
– Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
The idea that appeal to me most and that I often used in my organization is never drop a bad news first in a meeting, meet the stake holders a one after the other before a meeting and it will be more easier to discuss in the meeting. I found it more appealing because it allows you to have known where your fault are before it is being shared in the public and also doing your home before hand also gives your shareholders the encouragement that you know what you are doing as a project manager and it will increase the trust they have in you.
stakeholders are individuals or groups who have a vested interest or influence in a particular project, organization, or initiative. Here are some thoughts.
Importance of Clear Communication: Effective communication with stakeholders is crucial for ensuring alignment, managing expectations, and garnering support. Clear, transparent communication can help build trust and mitigate misunderstandings.
Understanding Stakeholder Needs: Different stakeholders have varying interests, concerns, and priorities. Tailoring communication to address these specific needs helps in fostering productive relationships and achieving mutual goals.
Two-Way Communication: Communication should be a two-way process where stakeholders have opportunities to provide feedback, ask questions, and express their perspectives. This fosters a sense of involvement and ownership.
Choosing the Right Channels: Utilizing appropriate communication channels (e.g., meetings, emails, reports, social media) based on stakeholder preferences and the nature of the information being conveyed enhances effectiveness.
Managing Challenges: Stakeholder communication can face challenges such as conflicting interests, resistance to change, or misinformation. Strategies to manage these challenges include proactive engagement, addressing concerns promptly, and maintaining transparency.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies and adapting them based on feedback and changing circumstances ensures ongoing relevance and engagement.
Overall, “Communicating with stakeholders” is not just about transmitting information but about building relationships and fostering a supportive environment where all parties feel informed and valued. Effective communication contributes significantly to the success of projects and organizational initiatives.
In my experience within the banking sector, written communication is particularly effective and aligns with our institutional practices. Project managers in this field utilize a variety of tools to enhance stakeholder interactions. They make use of project management software, online collaboration platforms, email, instant messaging, and video conferencing to ensure effective communication. These tools are instrumental in sharing documents, providing updates, and tracking tasks and deadlines. By leveraging these technologies, project managers can efficiently meet stakeholder needs, maintain clarity in communication, and ensure that project objectives are met on time. This approach highlights the critical role of using diverse communication tools to cater to different stakeholder preferences and project demands in the banking sector.
A good project manager requires good communication skills,a project manager needs to care about people (his team members),he also has to ensure that there’s constant reporting and realistic time schedules.
A project manager should also never be afraid to bring bad news, but must do so discreetly.
Based on the video. The communication style that have worked for me in my organization is tailoring my communication style to individual stakeholders (Project spouscdue to their different professional background and job experience.
At Calux Construction Services limited,, communicating bad news to management has never been an issue provided you also present Recommendation/Possible solutions to the said bad news.
So presenting recommendation/possible solutions along side a bad news to stakeholders helps to shift their attention to the solutions rather than dwell so much on the problem.
The type of communication that has worked for me as a pharmacist is tailoring my communication style to each individual stakeholders and always asking for feedbacks because that will enable me to know if they understand what I’m saying, if they have any problems with what I am trying to communicate and also if they have ideas to contribute.

in every project, communication is a vital part of it, project managers needs it to enable them work effectively with the team, stakeholders, and the peers. if this is not in place, the entire project could be in trouble.
Any software or tools can be learnt. The primary skill of a good project manager is communication and people management.
For me as an executive Assistant I relate on a daily basis with different types and levels of stakeholders; the communication style I have adopted is that which is similar to the second speaker – Communicating with each stakeholder according to their style communication, I usually prefer a one on one interaction because that way I’m able to get feedbacks that aren’t influenced by a third-party in the room and it gives me room to personalize the experience.

Communication is is very essential and vital in a project because it requires proper feedback and good communication between the stakeholders to The clients, sponsors or Project team. This simply means Communication is Effective when there’s always a Feedback, Therefore it helps to control or regulate problems which may arise as the project progresses.
The role of communication in project management is very vital in ensuring success and rapid delivery. The effort of a Project manager becomes more fruitful and progressive if he gets the full backing and support of the sponsor.
Keeping and maintaining client’s support is largely dependent on the project manager’s ability to carry every stakeholder along by keeping the communication line open and ensuring regular reporting of both evolving challenges and progress being made.
communication is crucial and vital to project managers because they inform vested stakeholders about the progress of the project they are handling. Daily feedbacks are necessary always. Get their inputs and measure if the project is going according to specifics especially the sponsor.
The strategy of communicating with the stakeholders should be on open ground that to be open and to be truthful as a project manager we should always keep the stakeholders to date on how the project is going and we shouldn’t be afraid of sharing both bad new and good new
But before sharing the bad new we shouldn’t always have a way out to solve that problem
And also understanding as a project manager you’d be able to know where each stakeholder is on. You’d be able to identify each of their positions if it would help or hinder the project then it would be easy for you to know what they feel like, and you’d be able to clear their mind and proffer a solution with face to face discussion in case of those who are not really in for the project or have a doubted mind before they come together for discussions.
The engineers on ground are my eyes and ears so it is important I communicate with them regularly.
When issues need to be resolved I do not go to a meeting where all stakeholders are present to discuss it directly, that is like dropping a bomb on their laps. I will first of all, go to them one by one so that they are already familiar with the issues before coming to a general meeting. Thus, managing the shock waves.
Effective Communication and planning play a great role in my line company activities and help in carrying out our tasks effectively and efficiently. Using customer relationship management (CRM) helps us to give daily reports and the next line of action which the Departmental heads can view make comments and follow up
In an educational context, effective strategies include setting clear objectives and detailed planning, aligning with institutional goals. Communication is crucial; identify stakeholders such as students, parents, and faculty, and use regular channels like emails, newsletters, and meetings to keep everyone informed. Schedule consistent updates and encourage feedback for transparency and engagement. Implement the project while staying flexible, monitor progress, and adapt as needed. Promptly communicate changes to maintain trust. This approach ensures well-managed projects that align with institutional goals and engage stakeholders effectively.
Based on the video. The communication style that have worked for me in my organization is tailoring my communication style to individual stakeholders (Heads of Departments, Sectional Managers, Directors) due to their different professional background and job experience.
In my organization, communicating bad news to management has never been an issue provided you also present Recommendation/Possible solutions to the said bad news.
So presenting recommendation/possible solutions along side a bad news to stakeholders helps to shift their attention to the solutions rather than dwell so mush on the problem.
Clear communication facilitates seamless coordination among team members, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities, as well as project goals and expectations.

Adapt: Be willing to change your communication style based on feedback.
Show Empathy: Understand and respect your stakeholders’ views and situations.
Keeping communication open and daily update. And again, like the speaker highlighted, bringing bad news to the table. Sometimes things don’t go as plan, ability to apply wisdom and know how to drop the news.
In my line of field, I have come to realize that bringing bad news to the table isn’t bad just that necessary homework needs to done and back up plans or alternatives proposed before the meeting to discuss such bad news.
I have also understood that before bringing bad news to a first meeting, it is necessary to communicate with stakeholders individually which also adjusting my pattern of communication to match/suit the stakeholder.
Daily reporting is also applicable in my field as it helps all stakeholders to understand the progress and challenges of project at hand, though some stakeholders might the report written in different ways.
Constant communication asides from report is also important as my field is highly volatile. Situations unaccounted for might spring which might need to be communicated immediately for resolution.
Effective communication with stakeholders is vital for project success. Here are key points to consider:
First, identify who your stakeholders are and understand their interests, influence, and needs. Tailor your communication strategy to each group to address their specific concerns.
Define clear objectives for your communication, whether it’s informing, engaging, or persuading. This ensures your message is targeted and effective.
Choose the right communication channels. Different stakeholders may prefer different methods, such as emails, reports, face-to-face meetings, or virtual conferences. Selecting the appropriate channel ensures your message is received and understood.
Be transparent and honest to build trust. Keep stakeholders informed about project progress, challenges, and changes to build credibility.
Active listening is crucial. Value stakeholder feedback and concerns to foster a collaborative environment.
Provide regular updates to keep stakeholders informed and aligned with project goals. Consistent progress reports, meeting minutes, and milestones ensure everyone is on the same page.
Tailor your message to fit each stakeholder’s level of interest and influence. Customize communication to ensure relevance and engagement.
Use visuals like charts and graphs to simplify complex information. Visual aids make data easier to understand.
Manage expectations by setting realistic goals and delivering on promises. Clear communication aligns expectations with reality.
Be culturally sensitive, especially with international stakeholders. Respect cultural differences in communication preferences and etiquette.
Prepare to address conflicts respectfully and promptly. Ensure all parties feel heard and find amicable solutions.
Finally, encourage continuous feedback. Create a feedback loop where stakeholders can provide input on project developments and communication effectiveness.
In conclusion, focusing on these aspects ensures effective stakeholder communication, fostering collaboration and supporting project success. Effective communication aligns stakeholders, builds trust, and drives successful project outcomes.
COMMUNICATING WITH STAKEHOLDER.
Stakeholder are influencer in a project management. Stakeholders are person(s) with interest to proposed change and impact success to a project.
Stakeholder communication is a key contributor to a major project’s success. In some ways, the implementation of the physical aspects of the project is easier than engaging with, and winning over, the key stakeholder groups required to make the project both a physical and Project Report(PR) success.
When it comes to stakeholder communication requirements, transparency, accuracy and communication are key. In addition, identifying and engaging with your stakeholder groups at an early stage will help to keep the project on track. Communicating with Stakeholder effectively becomes very important, because it will help in achieving organizational goal in a project.
Stakeholder engagement: Stakeholder engagement refers to the communication between project manager and individual stakeholders. While stakeholder management is the broader process you adopt to manage your stakeholders’ needs and expectations. Stakeholder engagement in a project involves building and maintaining relationships, It also involves preserving the active support and commitment of the people to the implementation of change, through program or project delivery.
However, understanding motives and agendas of stakeholders makes it possible to influence the change process positively, and to address issues that may be potential barriers to change. There are stakeholder engagement approach typically includes:
1. Stakeholder assessment and mapping, including their interests, influence and potential impact on them.
2. Identification of key concerns, risks and mitigating actions.
3. Outputs from stakeholder mapping used as a basis for flexible communications.
4 Creation and monitoring of the stakeholder action plan using stakeholder mapping information.
Other tips on effective communications of a stakeholder
1. Identify key stakeholders and plan communications: Here, use your stakeholder communications plan to identify stakeholders and plan communications. This is especially effective if you have a number of stakeholders with different requirements.
2. Email and e-newsletters: Email is one of the most popular tools for stakeholder communication. Its benefits include the immediate delivery of information, customizable content, and reporting on engagement and open rates. This makes it very effective in managing communications with each stakeholder. This can include: budget updates, photos, news of the week, contact information, next steps, top-level project plans and more.
3. Communication automation: Regular (e.g. daily) automated email updates sent out to each stakeholder can also be effective. Automating your email delivery reduces administrative load and increases consistency. Using email automation, you can customize your emails with dynamic content and send each stakeholder information specific to their needs. Visually appealing templates also make information easier to digest.
4. Presentations: These can be physical or online. Online has the distinct advantage of being able to span large geographic areas quickly and effectively. If online, you can opt to use video presentation software. Once you have completed your online presentation, save the slides and send them off to your stakeholders so they can refer to them in their own time.
5. Project Summary Reports: One of the more traditional methods that is still very effective is the Project Summary Report. Having performed your stakeholder identification research and discovered what information they require, you can tailor these reports to each stakeholder, making this report much more useful and unique.
6. Group video call or ‘screen to screen’ meetings: Schedule group video calls (e.g. weekly) to give a summary of the project. These are good to get quick responses to sudden obstacles that need to be addressed immediately.
7. Leverage informal stakeholder communications: When done right, informal stakeholder communication is often more effective than formal approaches. Entertainment – lunches, dinners and events. Lunches and dinners are very useful for obtaining causal feedback and can serve a real purpose when it comes to relationships and building trust. These are often as effective as formal stakeholder communication so don’t rule them out.
Sporting events, team building etc. also help build on your relationship and improve communication and trust.
Communication is essential in project management, and it’s also important to communicate with stakeholders to highlight critical issues. It also brings about the flow of information to help manage the expectations of your clients. Communication should be regular to aid a smooth project.
Effective communication with all stakeholders during a project is crucial for several reasons:
1. Alignment of Expectations: Regular communication ensures that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project’s goals, objectives, timelines, and deliverables. This alignment helps to manage expectations and avoid misunderstandings.
2. Risk Management: Proactively communicating with stakeholders allows the project manager to identify potential risks and issues early. Stakeholders can provide insights and resources to mitigate these risks, increasing the likelihood of project success.
3. Decision Making: Informed stakeholders are better equipped to make timely decisions. Communication ensures that stakeholders have the necessary information to make decisions that align with the project’s objectives and constraints.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Keeping stakeholders informed and involved fosters a sense of ownership and commitment to the project. Engaged stakeholders are more likely to support the project and contribute positively to its outcomes.
5. Transparency and Trust: Regular updates and open communication build transparency and trust between the project manager and stakeholders. Trust is essential for fostering a collaborative and supportive project environment.
6. Change Management: Projects often encounter changes in scope, resources, or timelines. Effective communication ensures that stakeholders are aware of these changes and their implications, facilitating smoother transitions and adaptations.
7. Feedback and Improvement: Continuous communication allows stakeholders to provide feedback, which can be used to improve project processes and deliverables. This iterative feedback loop can enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of the project.
8. Conflict Resolution: Timely communication can help identify and resolve conflicts before they escalate. By addressing concerns and issues early, the project manager can maintain a harmonious and productive project environment.
9. Resource Coordination: Effective communication ensures that all necessary resources are available when needed. It helps in coordinating efforts across different teams and departments, optimizing resource utilization.
10. Compliance and Reporting: Many projects require regular reporting to stakeholders to comply with organizational or regulatory requirements. Effective communication ensures that these reports are accurate and delivered on time.
In summary, communication is the backbone of effective project management. It ensures that all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned with the project’s goals, leading to better decision-making, risk management, and overall project success.
What would work best in my situation is tailoring my mode of communication to the person in front of me. It often makes the flow of communication smoother
In order to customize interactions with stakeholders, it is important to create thorough profiles, schedule regular updates such as newsletters, and be truthful about all developments. Widespread reach is ensured by using a variety of channels, including meetings, video conferences, and emails. It’s critical to tailor messages based on stakeholder involvement and to solicit feedback through Q&A sessions. Understanding is aided by concise, visual communication that is free of jargon. Use advisory boards to include stakeholders in decision-making, resolve disputes quickly through mediation, and use project management software to maintain thorough records. These tactics raise participation, match objectives, and increase overall performance.
Clients/Customer Relationship management involves having good communication skills which determines how Stakeholders gets involved or not in the realization of a project. Note that the absence of regular updates and feedbacks can make stakeholders less involved in a project which may lead to its abrupt end.
For someone who has worked in an organization with so many sponsors, effective communication is key Sponsors always want to know how the project is running, what is been done, what needs to be done etc.
Also there’s so much truth in the last tip shared, “do not drop bad news in a platform where all your sponsors are”.
I remember a time, we had insecurity issues from cult rival clashes within the project community which resulted to someone’s death, immediately some of the sponsors got to hear of this, some withdrew while some stopped coming to the site because they feel threatened in the environment.

Well, for me they all made sense, as someone in construction industry, having a good road map of communication would not only lead to timely delivery of project but also increased efficiency. A project managers availability should not be joke with. Most time your team you are leading wouldn’t be serious without your presence to command actions. The communication should be timely and feedback should be given to the client or sponsor of the project as the case maybe. In event of change in plans, the charges should be made known to the parties involved and educated properly on how to carry out the new change. There is pre project communication, on the project communication and post project communication, if a project is not performing very well, it’s the duty of manager to think of how to change strategies and communicate with the sponsor accordingly.
Effective communication with your stakeholders as a project manager helps to manage the expectations of your clients and also helps to manage issues when it arises. Communication is the stepping stone for executing a good project. It builds trust among your team and showcase transparency in the project.
Communication helps to ease tension in a project and also give the project manager the insight on the mind and thought of the team members.
Communication with stakeholders is very important. it helps to align goals and that outcomes are understood. It also helps to manage expectations of client regarding project timelines, deliverables, budget allocations and anticipated outcome. It builds trust and confidence between the project team and sponsors.
Strategies for communicating to my stake holders as a medical laboratory scientist(MLS or MedLab Scientist) . Map showing different stakeholders of the HOD medical laboratory Scientist (who is the PM)
(Patients, laboratory Engineers, CMD, Laboratory Scientist/technicians)
It is important to know the different strategies for communicating with your stakeholders. Every stakeholder have the way they want to be communicated to. For patient you communicate showing empathy. For the CMD and laboratory Engineers you have to always be in contact communication with them. Telling the MD some of the laboratory equipment needed and challenges we are facing in the laboratory, so that the appropriate funds/resources can be released. The laboratory Engineers should always be in constant maintenance of every laboratory Mechaines ensuring appropriate QC (quality Control).
Written down communication: this is suitable for project teams , where SOP’s (Standard Operating procedures) are written. This is a written document showing how every lab test is done, this shows how a test is done according to standards of the WHO. This is written by the laboratory Scientists on the bench and signed by the lab manager and HOD. All lab scientist are expected to follow the SOP and if anyone is not comfortable with it, the SOP will be reviewed according to WHO standards during clinical meetings in the presence of the lab manager and the HOD.
Report: we always undergo weekly reports of each bench during Clinical meetings this will help address some challenges and help to show a way forward. This report helps to ensure an accurate test results are being issued to patients by ensuring everyone present the way he/she performs QC before running any test.
Effective communication with stakeholders is key, the project manager needs to communicate daily with clients to achieve the desired goals. To achieve this, the PM have to be clear and transparent about issues, you have to gather feedbacks to understand what is happening in the room incase there might be need for change which must meet up with the timeframe.
Also, effective communication helps to build trust and relationships with stakeholders.
5No doubt effective communiaction with stakeholders is an intergral part of project management. It can only yield best results when both client and the project manager remains transparent and honest with each other. However, some clients can be difficult and opinionated, my suggestions on how to mitigate these type of situations are
1. Talk fluently and clearly, do not use ambiguous terms, it will complicate your idea.
2. Always use relateble examples, drawing, charts, videos/ demo video that can get your point across accurately.
3. Give your clients options, tell them your best option qnd the reason for using that method or approach then let them make their choice.
4. You could always ask your team members or your fellow colleagues in the field for their expert advise or opinions regarding their own experiences. This is where teamwork and networking comes into play.
5. Always expect and welcome constructive criticism from clients, team members. E.g scrum master, design crew etc you can only grow in the field of project management that way.
Lastly, the success of a project starts at the beginning with effective communication which synergies with dedication, good technical and behavioural skills to achieve the desired result which both parties would be proud of.
Effective project management begins with early stakeholder engagement. Clearly defining roles, involvement levels, and project objectives ensures everyone is on the same page. Honest and transparent communication helps set realistic expectations and prevents misconceptions. Documenting conversations and adapting communication styles to suit different stakeholders is crucial. To ensure successful communication, follow these steps:
A. Develop a stakeholder communication plan
B. Customize your approach for each stakeholder group
C. Solicit feedback to refine your communication strategy
Effective communication is key to any business or organization, communication helps to build trust and relationships, when dealing with a client and there should be maximum transparency in communication and also communication should be on daily basis because it must comprise the review of process engaged in the decision making.
Communication helps to get the project on track. Written communication and ensuring the team onsite are carried along with everything makes the project a success.
It’s important to initiate communication with stakeholders right from the start of a project. Clearly outlining the roles and levels of involvement for sponsors, clients, and team members, and ensuring everyone understands the project’s goals is key. Emphasizing honesty and transparency helps manage expectations and avoid assumptions, and it’s valuable to document and reference these conversations.
1. Start by planning your communication with stakeholders.
2. Then, tailor your communication styles to different stakeholders.
3. Finally, seek feedback after communication to ensure its effectiveness.
Certainly! Here is the rewritten text to sound more constructive:

1. Start by planning your communication with stakeholders.
2. Then, tailor your communication styles to different stakeholders.
3. Finally, seek feedback after communication to ensure its effectiveness.
Effective communication is the cornerstone of successful project management. A well-structured communication plan, tailored messaging for diverse stakeholders, and obtaining feedback are critical components to ensure communication effectiveness.
Communication Plan:
A comprehensive communication plan serves as a roadmap for disseminating information throughout the project lifecycle. It outlines what needs to be communicated, who will receive the information, the frequency of communication, and the channels to be used. This ensures that all stakeholders are informed and engaged, reducing misunderstandings and fostering transparency.
Tailoring Communication:
Different stakeholders have varying interests, levels of influence, and information needs. Project managers must tailor their communication strategies to address these differences. For instance, senior executives may require high-level summaries focusing on strategic impact, while team members may need detailed instructions and updates on daily tasks. Understanding and adapting to these preferences ensures that the message is both received and understood effectively.
Getting Feedback:
Communication should not be a one-way street. Soliciting and incorporating feedback from stakeholders is essential for refining communication strategies and addressing any concerns or misunderstandings. Regular feedback loops help identify gaps in communication and provide opportunities for continuous improvement. This iterative process strengthens relationships and enhances project outcomes.
In conclusion, the effectiveness of communication in project management hinges on having a robust communication plan, tailoring messages to stakeholder needs, and actively seeking feedback.
Constant communication plays a key role in managing a project.
First- Plan your communication with the stakeholders
Second- Decide your communication styles with different stakeholders.
Third- Get feedback after communication, that’s the only way your communication can be effective.

As a Project Manager, you have to communicate effectively and efficiently, learn to speak to different stakeholders in the way they would understand.
Use direct and honest approach to get feedbacks and improve on the project.
To be solution oriented and having an eye to foresee problems.
Having a communication plan is pivotal to having a successful project. It would help analyse the needs and expectations of the project, ensuring that each team member understands his or her role.
Empathy is important as well as it helps the Project manager understand the strength and weakness of his team members and also help the project manager give vision and inspiration to his team.
Constant communication as always been key in my profession. having to collect the project brief from the client (sponsor) to brief development and transmitting same to the project team, contractors, suppliers, workers and even to the least person on the project.
Without proper and constant communication, the entire project can be ruined. I need to communicate in simple language, ask questions and give instructions in clear and well defined terms.

As a Project Manager when leading a project some skills are essential
1) communication: As a Project Manager communicating with stakeholders is very crucial and necessary, when there is an issue the Project Manager needs to inform the sponsors and stakeholders when there will be a change in the project or an increase in the budget.
2)Taking responsibility: Nobody likes bad news, but when there is an issue, the project Manager is to inform the sponsors and proffer solutions
As a Project Manager I interact with the vendor, my boss and the head of finance. I first get details of what my boss expects from the vendor and a time frame to deliver, then I set up a meeting between my boss and the vendor. Decisions are made and I follow up with the vendor to get the Bill of quantity which is sent to the head of finance and my boss. Another meeting is set up with the vendor , my boss and the head of finance so negotiations can be made. The next is payment and project execution.
Communication with stakeholders should basically start from the onset of a project. From the sponsors to the clients and team members, there should be a clear explanation regarding everyone’s roles and level of involvement. The goals of the project should also be made clear. Honestly and clarity must be the watchword. This helps in reducing undue expectations and assumptions. These would be documented and referenced.
Modes and level of communication with stakeholders can also be based on the stakeholders roles and expectation in the project lifespan.
Project sponsors can be communicated through scheduled meetings directly with the project manager. Others can be in the forms of monitoring, information dissemination, collection of feedbacks. The project team must be communicated daily as the case maybe depending on agreed modes.
Overall, every communication with all stakeholders must be regular and open. Levels of involvement clearly written and clarified. Exaggerating a project output must be avoided.

For me I feel that he strategies that work for me are:
1.constant communication with the team on the ground, from previous experience I have had great challenges having a project manager who does not listen to feedback from the final consumer of the produce, that gave me a hard time in project implementation.
2.Reporting helps everyone to know the progress of the project and input needed from all stakeholders.
3.Getting individual meeting with stakeholders helps alot in reviewing project issues, especially when things are not on the right track.
4.Ensuring the stakeholders understand the need to work under realistic time frames.
5.constant communication with the clients, keeping them updated on any plan changes, additions and keeping the team on the ground up-to-date as they carry out their tasks is another crucial task.
Strategies that work for me:
1. Tailoring communication to stakeholders needs
2. Having one on one communication with stakeholders
3. Having a written, planned communication plan
The strategies that works for me are–
1) Tailoring my communication plan to suit individual project stakeholders.
2) Not bringing bad news to the table without first discussing it with individual stakeholders before a round table meeting.
3) Communicating with all lines of stakeholders.
4) Having a written communication plan.
How to communicate with the stakeholders:
1. Tailor your conversation according to the stakeholder
2. Have a written down plan
3. Constant communication during the project period is key
4. Making sure everybody are working according to the schedule
5. Before bringing bad news to the table, also find possible solutions.
Communicating individually with your various stakeholders helps to have a personal views about your work assessment with them.
It helps to get a good view of your progress and your lapses as seen by the Stakeholders
Constant communication is really important as it keeps everyone briefed and aware of the level of progress of the project. Daily communication will help in foreseeing issues and analyzing them to give the necessary solution. It keeps everyone prepared and not shocked by matters arising.
One of the project managers in the video made a statement “Don’t be afraid to bring bad news to the table”. In my view existing communication and a good plan to communicate with the stakeholders will make it easier to discuss the bad news and to find a solution to it together.
Holding onto the statement of one of the project managers “Never bring bad news for the first time in the forum”. This isn’t talking about not sharing the odd situation with the stakeholders but it emphasises having a good communication plan, that tells when and how to relate matters to the stakeholders duly.
Having to discuss the odd situation with individuals before a general meeting would do more to the acceptance level in the general meeting.
Communication must be holistic in project managemnt. Communication with peers to be in line with the working trend, communication ywith the sponsor/line managers to earn their continuous support of the project, communication with project team members to help the project manager stay proactive on issues, and finally be in constant communication with the clients to buy their additional support in areas that need change. Communication with the stakeholders must be holistic.
Communication is key in project management. To have a successful work done, a project manager should communicate to his team/stakeholders, presenting everything as it is and not being scared of bringing bad news to the table.
As said in the video, it should have a better approach on how to present it to the team.
Information is truly key in any project. Having a plan, constant communication and most importantly tailoring it to the stakeholder one is meeting can not be over emphasised. in my organisation presently, I would discuss most of our clients as analytical, people oriented and innovative. So as a Project manager, I have always tried to bring results and evidence, inspire hope and show that we care about the project at hand.
The idea of not being scared of being the one to break the bad news got me so intrigued because for some one like me who focuses on Customer service management, it is often hard to tell management that there has been a decrease in sales as a result of unsatisfied customers but after watching the video and seeing how this could be resolved professionally by meeting personally with each stakeholder before bringing it to the board room, I am nau certain that bad news are essentially part of the ways to grow a company if it is communicated well😁.
The importance of constant and concise communication cannot be overemphasised. In a construction setting, I’m of the opinion that all three strategies mentioned are quite important: constant communication; tailoring communication to who you are relating to and having a communication plan. There has to be constant communication between the project team and the stakeholders because construction mostly involves a lot of change orders. The industry involves a lot of diverse professionals; therefore, communication has to be tailored to everyone to aid effective communication. Having a communication plan helps, as every member of the team knows the plan to follow thoroughly and knows what is expected of them.
In project management effective communication is key. How that a project manager is in the right position to ensure that all deemed information is communicated to the parties/stakeholders. And also, in some cases it’s important to present evidence and data to backup what a product manager is trying to communicate so as to enhance proper understand among parties involved in the project. All this, is so that there’ll be cooperate participation in ensuring that the project is achieved as planned.
As mentioned in the video by the three project managers, one cannot but emphasize that Communication with all stakeholders plays crucial role in ensuring the success of every projects. Hence, project manager needs to be apt in communication skills to present clear and concise up to date information at all times. This can be done either as verbal or written, informal or formal depending the information to be shared or obtained or circumstances involve and also communication its also important in dealing with all project team member so all can be in sync at all times with the scope, timeline, set deliverables for achievement of the project.
Communication is a very vital tool in pm and it’s important to always communicate as clearly as possible. One thing that piqued my interest is to not be afraid to communicate any changes in project cos it’s my duty as a pm to deliver projects.
Communication plays a crucial role in project management because in other for a project to be successful, the project manager must have an effective communication both with the sponsor, team, client and peers.
Communication plays a crucial role in project management because in other for a project to be successful, the project manager must have an effective communication both with the sponsor, team, client and peers.
Some of the strategies suggested by the Project managers that apply well in my situation is
Daily communication to ensure that stakeholders are up to date with the plans of the project, any addition, adjustment, or information that might affect the project, it’s timing and the stakeholders.
Have a written down communication plan for all the stakeholders so as to ensure everyone is getting the right information and feedback they need.
Tailor your communication to suit the individual in front of you. You need to know your team members to pull through on this. So you can communicate with them in the best way they can understand the information using an approach that suits them.
A good communication builds some level of trust between the Project Manager, and the Client.
When there’s a clear communication between the PM, Team, and the client, It makes for a Successful project tasks
Effective communication among stakeholders helps manage risk in project management. And when communicating, use of ambiguous words should not be allowed.
Effective Communication and constant communication with other stakeholder help to share ideas together that with improve the increase of speed of task that is given in project

4, reduce waste of time
5. it give you the sense of doing more

We have a command chain of communication where report from the project manager is passed to the architect and then to the stakeholders. Tailored communication cannot be erased off in project management, it is key and play a very crucial role. Having a written record can also help to bring this to life where you go back to your bullet-points as you communicate.
Communication is the key to a successful project; keeping the stakeholders updated will always bring them closer to the project’s progress. As for me, I would like face-to-face communication with the stakeholders; I will be able to see and read what is on their minds. It is easy to know if they are disappointed or pleased with your progress in face-to-face communication.
COMMUNICATION with stakeholder should leave plenty of room for feedback from stakeholders. This means providing multiple ways for stakeholders to get in contact (phone, email, face-to-face, messaging, comments, etc.), along with opportunities to participate in the project or engagement process.
You cannot just not communicate. For every successful project, there must be communication. Communication erases doubt and builds trust. In the course of communicating with stakeholders, reporting is necessary, as it ensures transparency between the project managers and the stakeholders.
With what I learnt so far, it’s fair enough to say that communication is the modest means to execute a perfect business plans, also have a top-notch performance when it comes to Projecting and managerial duties.

The strategy that works well in my organization is not bringing up bad news for the first time in a forum with all the stakeholders. They should be told individually to prepare their minds before the meeting.
Also having possible solutions when you bring up bad news
The strategies as suggested by the project managers that will work well in my organisation is to write down your communication plan before meeting a stakeholder so you will be able to discuss important aspects of the project without leaving details behind.

Project Manager (PM): Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for joining this meeting to discuss our new community park project. Our primary goal today is to outline our communication plan with stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed and engaged throughout the project. Let’s start by identifying our key stakeholders. Can anyone share their thoughts on who these stakeholders might be?
Team Member 1 (TM1): I think the local residents are our primary stakeholders since the park is for their benefit. We should also include local businesses, as they might be affected by the construction and could potentially benefit from increased foot traffic.
Team Member 2 (TM2): Don’t forget the local government and city council. We need their approvals and they can also provide funding or other resources. Additionally, local environmental groups might be interested, especially if we plan to include natural habitats or green spaces.
PM: Great points. So far, we have local residents, businesses, the city council, and environmental groups. Let’s also consider our internal stakeholders, such as the project team and our contractors. Now, what are the best ways to communicate with these groups?
TM1: For the local residents, we could hold public meetings and provide updates through a dedicated website or social media channels. Flyers and newsletters could also be effective for reaching a broader audience.
TM2: For the city council and government officials, formal reports and presentations would be necessary. Regular progress updates and formal communication channels, such as emails and official letters, should be used to keep them informed.
PM: I agree. It’s important to tailor our communication methods to each stakeholder group. For the environmental groups, we might consider hosting special sessions where they can give input on the park’s design and environmental impact.
TM1: What about local businesses? They might prefer quick updates via email or even brief in-person visits to discuss how the project might affect them.
PM: That’s a good idea. We could also consider setting up a local business advisory panel that meets periodically to discuss their concerns and suggestions.
TM2: And for our internal stakeholders, regular team meetings, progress reports, and a shared project management platform will keep everyone aligned and informed.
PM: Excellent. To summarize, we’ll use public meetings, a website, social media, flyers, and newsletters for local residents; formal reports and presentations for the city council; dedicated sessions for environmental groups; email updates and advisory panels for local businesses; and regular team meetings and project management tools for our internal stakeholders. Does anyone have any additional suggestions or concerns?
TM1: This sounds comprehensive. My only concern is ensuring we have enough resources to manage all these communication channels effectively.
PM: Good point. We’ll need to allocate some of our budget and personnel to handle communications. We might also consider hiring a dedicated communication coordinator. I’ll look into the specifics and share a proposal in our next meeting. Any other thoughts?
TM2: Nothing else from me. This sounds like a solid plan.
PM: Great. Thank you for your input. Let’s reconvene next week to finalize our communication plan and begin implementation. Meeting adjourned.
This discussion example illustrates the process of identifying stakeholders, considering their communication needs, and planning appropriate communication strategies.

As a project manager, there should be a good communication with the clients. letting them know the progress and probably challenges you’re facing.
As a project manager, you should not be scared of sharing bad news or new development to your stakeholders.
To communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, a good project manager has to tailor his/,her communication styles to the person before him/her .
As a Project manager, I must have a clear and precisely written communication plan that discusses all the relevant aspects of the project. This should include plans to also get active feedback from the stakeholders.
To communicate effectively with stakeholders:
Know your audience and their interests.
Be transparent and provide timely information.
Use multiple communication channels.
Listen actively and respond thoughtfully.
Be responsive and provide regular updates
Show appreciation for stakeholders’ support.
Foster relationships through regular communication and mutual respect.
You can establish effective communication, foster strong relationships, and drive successful outcomes by doing all these.

As a project manager we need to effectively know how to communicate and bringing issues regarding bad news to stakeholders
To be an effective PM. You have to learn how to communicate effectively with your stakeholders for clarification and to clear unskeptical doubt among stakeholders. You have to be concise and brief in your communication style.
As regards stakeholders,a project manger should have an open mind when communicating, this will help in fostering better results.
Communication with stakeholders is important in fostering projects as a PM.
To do this effectively, you have to understand your audience, what communication language they speak and tailor your communication style to each stakeholder.
The easier they get and understand information passed, the better for your project
To be effective in communicating with stakeholders, PM should try as much as possible to be transparent and precise in the communication process.

Effective Communication Strategies in School Organizations
In school settings, successful communication with stakeholders is crucial. Three key strategies that apply well and help foster strong relationship with stakeholders, ensure effective communication, and create a positive school environment are:
1. Regular Progress Updates: Keep parents and guardians informed about students’ progress through regular reports, parent-teacher conferences, and online portals.
2. Transparency in Decision-Making: Communicate school decisions, policies, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring they understand the reasoning behind them. This involves communication with team members on the field that keeps the project manager abreast with recent developments or changes.
3. Clear and Concise Language: Use simple, straightforward language in communications, avoiding jargon and technical terms that might confuse stakeholders. Focus on key messages and the target audience.
Effective communication is essential in school organizations. By adopting these strategies, educators can promote a culture of transparency, collaboration, and mutual understanding.

Communication is paramount in this regards as it gives you the opportunity to know how and/or what changes you are to relay to the third party from your everyday interactions with the stakeholders. Like change in pattern or design, extra or new ideas to be infused into the existing one.
Communication is key in project management,it is necessary to carry everyone along.

The keys in communicating with stakeholders are
Having a constant communication with them and ensuring it is clearly aligned and consistent (it must be up to date).
Having a written down communication; write the plans you have in mind.
You need to care about them,Do not be afraid of bringing a bad news to the table but make sure you plan on a solutions to go about it.

Effective communication is crucial for success. Here are is my contribution on achieving success at my workplace:
1. Regular Team Meetings: Holding daily or weekly meetings to discuss ongoing projects, share updates, and address challenges.
2. Open-Door Policy: Encouraging team members to approach leaders or colleagues with questions, concerns, or ideas.

communication is key in all aspects, as project manager must be intuitive and creative
Here’s my thought on communication.
Communication remains a very important aspect in our daily activities and plays a pivotal role in project management as it enables effective work administration and forsters understanding between the project management team and stake holders. Few of the importance of communication includes:
1. Ensures stakeholders receive accurate, timely information
2. Prevents misunderstandings and miscommunications
3. Builds trust and credibility with stakeholders
4. Facilitates collaboration and teamwork
5. Helps manage expectations and conflicts
As a project manager communication is the key.
Communication is a life wire, when not deployed there’s every tendency that project will not be effectively executed.
We shouldn’t be afraid to communicate when things are going wrong. There is need for everyone to collaboratively with the project vision
Communication is the key and there should always be means to communicate clearer and better between the project manager and stakeholders
Communication also flows downwards to your team.
communicating with stakeholders must be done daily, to talk about risks, challenges, improvement and changes regarding a project.
Note that you should never be afraid to inform the stakeholders about a bad news so that it can be resolved easily and faster.
As a project manager, communication with the stakeholders is very important and should not be neglected. I believe that following the fundamental lines of communication will help us gain the trust of the stakeholders and make our work easier.
As a project manager, communication with your stakeholders is key..
Individual communication with all the stakeholders is a huge secret to ensuring at the forum solution springs up faster.
Effective communication with project stakeholders is very important and should be healthy.
It’s also important to tailor and adjust your message to the person in front of you.
Communication is good
I need to sharpen my communication skills before involving in with the stakeholders, because my approaches in our conversations will surely determine how cooperative they will be
Effective communication with project stakeholders, especially sponsors and line managers, is critical for project success. Here’s why:
1. Alignment on Objectives
Ensures everyone understands the project goals, priorities, and deliverables.
Prevents misunderstandings that could derail the project.
2. Securing Resources and Support
Sponsors and line managers often control budgets, personnel, and other resources.
Regular updates ensure they remain committed to providing the necessary support.
3. Early Identification of Risks and Issues
Open communication helps stakeholders flag potential risks or obstacles early.
Enables proactive problem-solving and risk mitigation.
Communicating clearly on time line of the project , financial implication of the project and meeting stakeholders individually in time of challages.
As a manager communicating with stakeholders must be healthy so that the ones that don’t understand the project process will be carry along and the process run smoothly
One On one communication with stakeholders to establish a good rapport and discuss the project expectations.
I would prefer constant communication in order to keep the stakeholders on the level of progress
The presenting bad news individually first really resonates with me. It shows essentially how having a one-on-one session usually softens the blow
I have learnt that a good communication skill is the best way of managing and directing of stakeholders.
I have learnt it is especially important to communicate with stake holders, especially of timelines can not be met on schedule or if changes that are particularly significant to a project are to be made or being made.
One thing I have learn is not to present failure quick to stakeholders but to communicate with theme one on one first.
Thank you DEXA, I am improving in this flied of study(project management)
The course is so interesting
I’m finding it lovely studying already
My name is Justina Adetunbi
Thank you DEXA for the opportunity
For the project management skills I am lacking in the communication aspect.
How I will improve is to
1. Take courses on public speaking
2. Read books on communication
3. Follow people and get a mentor on communication
Do not be afraid when it comes to communicating with stakeholders.
The main point in project management is knowing how to adapt to any changes that may occur if need be, and still maintain pattern

Communication with stakeholders can’t be over emphasis because it foster long lasting relationship with the client. And also transperancy.
In my role, Having a written down communication plan is very important and getting the right information needed is also important.

Through out my study for this one thing stands out. This has ben reemphasized, Communication is key. Both to your clients and to your team
Communicating with Stakeholders:
That tip on making sure you’re not afraid of bringing bad news to the table but also making sure that you suggest possible solutions, is aptly said.
Communicating with stakeholders is of great paramount, however, it brings and encourages collaboration amongst the team members
Communicating with individual stakeholders and give reports regularly
Communication is very important. Proactive communication is an essential skill one should have
In my organisation, reporting is sancrosanct.
Adequate communication is essential for a project manager. Understanding the stakeholders and how to communicate with them is also essential.
Adapting to each stakeholders comprehension style there by achieving active communication and participation of the stakeholders
Knowing when to pass an information or specific plan is very crucial skill and role a PM is expected to have
Communication is a “must have” skill as a project manager.

Communication is the key of every project manager inorder to deliver a successful project

We as project managers the commutation that I have just learned I think can help the organization progress
All these commutation strategies can help us to make the organization successful.
It is necessary I keep the stakeholders abreast with happenings in the project. Bad news needs to be broken individually to the stakeholders

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
“Communicating with stakeholders – DISCUSSION”

As a project manager, communicating with stakeholders is crucial to ensure project success, some key points to consider include:
1. Recognize their expectations, concerns, and level of influence.
2. Tailor your approach to each stakeholder group.
3. Share project updates, progress, and changes.
4. Encourage feedback and address concerns.
5. Set clear boundaries and negotiate when necessary.
6. Build trust through regular engagement and empathy.
Effective stakeholder communication helps prevent misunderstandings, builds trust, and ensures project deliverables meet their needs.

Every project demands good communication skills and tools between the project team and stakeholders
in every project, communication is a vital part of it, project managers needs it to enable them work effectively with the team, stakeholders, and the peers. if this is not in place, the entire project could be in trouble.

Knowing how to effective communicate among stakeholders is important as well as knowing the right mode of communication to use for each stakeholder.
Clear communication facilitates seamless coordination among team members, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities, as well as project goals and expectations.
Know Your Audience: Understand who you’re talking to and what matters to them.

Listen: Pay attention to what your stakeholders say and address their concerns.
Be Honest: Share information openly, even if it’s bad news.
Stay Relevant: Provide information that’s important to your stakeholders.
Choose the Right Channel: Use the best way to communicate, like emails, meetings, or calls.
Follow Up: Check back to make sure your message was understood and answer any questions.
Respond Quickly: Reply to stakeholders’ questions and feedback as soon as you can.
Build Relationships: Take time to develop strong, trusting relationships.
Ibilola Obalaja Team 5
Regular communication with the stakeholders makes them feel as part of the project and regular feedback helps ease whatever doubt they may have.

Rose Matarise
Communication with stakeholders is very important. it helps to align goals and that outcomes are understood. It also helps to manage expectations of client regarding project timelines, deliverables, budget allocations and anticipated outcome. It builds trust and confidence between the project team and sponsors.
Effective communication is very important in project management,it helps to pass information to different stakeholders.
I think written down communication plan helps to know different stakeholders key messages to use while creating a project plan

2)Taking responsibility: Nobody likes bad news, but when there is an issue, the project Manager is to inform the sponsors and proffer solutions
.

Team 9.
The key to effective project management is to maintain communication with all lines of controls.

Effective Communication and constant communication with other stakeholder help to share ideas together that with improve the increase of speed of task that is given in project
as a Project Manager you don’t walk in isolation, walking in isolation don’t make you expert of a field
constant communication
1. Trust
2. feedback of task
3. improve strength of duty
4, reduce waste of time
5. it give you the sense of doing more

Stakeholder communication is crucial in any organization or project for several reasons:
1. Alignment of Goals and Expectations: Effective communication ensures that stakeholders, including clients, team members, investors, and the community, are aligned with the project goals and expectations. When everyone understands the objectives and the timeline, they can work together towards a common purpose.
2. Decision Making: Stakeholders often need to make decisions that impact the project. Clear communication provides them with the necessary information, such as progress updates, risks, and opportunities, enabling informed decision-making.
3. Managing Expectations: Different stakeholders have different expectations. Regular communication helps manage these expectations by providing realistic updates on project progress, timelines, and potential challenges.
4. Building Trust: Transparent and open communication builds trust among stakeholders. When stakeholders feel informed and involved, they are more likely to trust the project team and its leadership.
5. Risk Management: Effective communication helps in identifying and managing risks early on. Stakeholders who are informed about potential risks can provide insights and support in mitigating them.
6. Feedback Mechanism: Communication provides a platform for stakeholders to give feedback. This feedback is valuable for improving processes, products, and overall project outcomes.
7. Conflict Resolution: Conflicts can arise due to misunderstandings or differing viewpoints. Clear communication allows stakeholders to address conflicts constructively and find resolutions that are beneficial for the project.
8. Resource Allocation: Stakeholders often control resources such as budget and personnel. Effective communication ensures that these resources are allocated appropriately and in alignment with project priorities.
In summary, stakeholder communication is essential for maintaining alignment, managing expectations, building trust, managing risks, gathering feedback, resolving conflicts, and ensuring efficient resource allocation. It is a cornerstone of successful project management and organizational effectiveness.

Communication in project management is key.
Project managers needs to communicate with the three key stakeholders – the clients, team members and third parties. This level of communication helps and allows project managers to pass vital information to the clients and also receive feedback from other stakeholders ensuring that information is circulated accordingly.
All stakeholders through vital information from the project manager get to know of any materials shortages.
Constant communication with all the stakeholders daily as a strategy will help bring everyone up to speed and also daily reminding them of the vision of the project will bring everyone on the same page /completion of the project on time.
Communication it it the important keys to pass information to the next person through verbal or written words. with good effective communication the project manager can share ideas with other Stakeholders on the way to resolve a particular task or tasks in a project to be deliver on time or to be complete on time
The communication is a key that makes team works to make an enquire of what is happing and this will not take them by surprise among team workers

We have a command chain of communication where report from the project manager is passed to the architect and then to the stakeholders. Reports are made daily at regular intervals : at the commencement of work, during break and at close of work. Reports can either be written, through a dedicated channel on social media where pictures and also provided or through calls
Effective communication is essential in project management. Project managers need to communicate with stakeholders and team members effectively. this will enable the team members to work in unity and also meet project deadlines.

Effective communication is one crucial aspect of managing projects effectively. Good communication with the project team, stakeholders, clients, and any other relevant parties will foster a collaborative environment where everyone is aligned towards achieving the project’s goals.
Adapting communication to different types of stakeholders within my organization involves tailoring my messaging to meet the specific needs, interests, and preferences of each group.
Identify Stakeholder Groups: identifying the different stakeholder groups within my organizations which are internal stakeholders such as employees, managers, and departments, as well as external stakeholders such as readers, advertisers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Conduct stakeholder analysis to understand the unique needs, interests, and communication preferences of each stakeholder group.
Tailor Messaging and Channels: Oncei understand the preferences of each stakeholder group, tailor your communication messages and channels accordingly. I use language and terminology that resonate with each group and choose communication channels that they are most likely to engage with.
Adapt Tone and Style: Adjust the tone and style of communication to suit the preferences of each stakeholder group. For example, as a media organization, we have different ways of communicating with each age group, Gen Z language is different from millennials language. You can decide if communicating in a formal or informal way is better with the stakeholders and colleagues or employees
Constant communication:
Schedule regular meetings with stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress.
Encourage open communication through email, phone, or project management tools.
Adapting communication styles:
For an action-oriented stakeholder, provide brief, concise updates and focus on progress and next steps.
For an analytical stakeholder, provide detailed reports and data to support project decisions.
Communication is an important aspect of managing a project and even life in general. Knowing how to communicate effectively will go a long way to determining how successful a project will be
Working and bonding as a team only happens when you can identify your communication style, know how to talk to different stakeholders at different point in time, consider the method of your communication so everyone can work effectively.

Tailored communication cannot be erased off in project management, it is key and play a very crucial role. Having a written record can also help to bring this to life where you go back to your bullet-points as you communicate.
Yes, knowing how your client or stakeholders communicate will help you communicate better with them.
Don’t bring bad news to the sponsor at the initial stage of communication
In brief communication play a vital role in project management
When communicating to your stakeholders you need to be clear about your vision so you can explain bit by bit to make them understand and key into the idea well
Regular update help also in winning their trust
Client should be sincere to via communication
I like the tip on tailoring the communication to the stakeholders style be it analytical, people oriented etc. When this is done the communication is more likely to be easily understood and accepted.
Team boding only happens through communication. As a project manager, your communication skill has to be top notch to avoid misinformation and mismanagements, and for a smooth sailing too.
Thank you.
