As a project manager, communication is a basis of making any project successful. having an individual conversation with the stakeholders gives head up to knowing what interest them in the project and thereby help to work toward fulfilling it.
As a project manager, communication is the basic necessity in making a project work successful. When there’s a challenge, a problem, talking to your team and especially your sponsors to see if anyone has better idea on how to make it work successfully and achieve same goal.
I have to know that they key to a successful project is constant communication, I have to tailor the communication style to the stakeholder I’m communicating with. It’s also important for me to get feedbacks on how my communication style is working for them.
Communication is very important in the life of a project. Hence having a good strategy for communication during the period of a project will help in ensuring proper dissemination of information. Some strategies in communication that can help is having a constant communication with the client and project teams,Taking into consideration the nature/personality of the person in front of you, getting proper feedback from stakeholders, having proper reports presented at meetings that have been scheduled ensuring that any issues that arise are properly and promptly addressed, don’t be afraid of bringing bad news rather ensure proper homework on the issue is carried out before tabling it and if possible proffer a solution.
The better we communicate our goals and plan for change, the more people will understand the vision and be likely to support the change efforts. Strategy is important: Who, why, and how? Communication should focus on programmatic goals. Plans for communication should be practical and doable.
As a project manager know that your style of communication is crucial to the success of any project.

Communication is very vital in all endeavours in life. as a project manager involved in the construction industry, I need to send constant and up to date information to my sponsors/ clients on the progress of the project(s), milestones reached, activities yet to be done and the timelines required. Also, they must be informed of any bad news, though individually and the possible solutions outlined to address them. Of importance is my regular communication with my project team. They need to be abreast with whatever adjustments and changes made on the project and what must be done to effect them without altering the project scope and deadline. My company management, 3drd party contractors, local authorities ang host communities must also be included in the chain of stakeholders to communicate with.
I have to know that they key to a successful project is constant communication, I have to tailor the communication style to the stakeholder I’m communicating with. It’s also important for me to get feedbacks on how my communication style is working for them. I have to make sure myself and the stakeholders are all working and communicating on the same time schedule. I shouldn’t be afraid to bring bad news, but it’s usually best to be inform and communicate with the stakeholders individually first, so they can process it before bringing it to a meeting. And it’s important to have analyzed all options and try to bring possible solutions.
It is necessary I keep the stakeholders abreast with happenings in the project. Bad news needs to be broken individually to the stakeholders
