Communication is very vital in successive execution of any project.
Constant communication with clients and team members. Make the stakeholders feel that you’re so much concerned in the project.
Have a written communication plan that will have the vital and needed messages.
Bringing bad news to the table should be done on time so issues can be addressed, resolved and solutions can be analysed. But don’t bring the bad news to the general table without having a one on one discussion with each stakeholder ahead of the meeting to prepare them.
Communication is a vital skill every project manager must have. When dealing with the different stakeholders; project teams, clients, supervisor, sponsors, and co project managers,a project manager should use different approaches in communicating individually to them
There’s no head way and no sense of direction if communication is missing in any project especially for a project manager. There should be clarity on what’s required, clarity of what the role of each member is. and as for the client, clarity on deliverables and progress to ensure its in alignment with the set out goal. In every of these stated steps, communication cannot be overemphasized.
Communication is an important aspect of a successful project. My role in my organization is no exception, a couple of the strategies would yield positively for my organizations goal, i however rank the following as top on the list.
1. Plan your communication in advance – this strategy ensures smooth delivery
2. Tailor your communication style to each stakeholder – because each stakeholder have varying interest, meeting them at their specific area of interest will be a good way to get the communication going, it will also keep the stakeholder open and ease feedback.
3. Doing be afraid to bring bad news to the table, nut also bring positive solutions – this shows proper understanding of the project, it also help the stakeholders to build trust in the capability of the stakeholder.
4. Give up to date information – this strategy ensures the commitment of the stakeholders are well preserved and their interest remain on the success of the project.
Communication is the cornerstone of any successful project execution, ensuring that everyone involved is on the same page and working towards a common goal. The information flow from the beginning should be consistent and regular.
For example as a caterer, when handling a project with a Client, I present a clear and detailed plan that is in line with the Client’s needs and expectations. Team members are regularly informed, tasks are assigned and feedbacks encouraged. All these steps Foster team spirit and all hands are on deck to ensure that the project deadline is met.
Consistent Communication with the Client and other lines of control throughout the project is vital for the success.

From the video, the key thing is to understand the kind stakeholders you are working with as a project manager. This will enable you to know the best way to communicate with them. Also, its important to always remember that bad news shouldn’t be shared in a round table discussion with stakeholders, rather the stakeholders should be met individually before the roundtable session . This is to reduce the tension that might arise from giving such news in a roundtable.
Communication is critically important in project management. Effective communication ensures that everyone involved in a project understands their roles, responsibilities, and objectives. Here are some key reasons why communication is crucial in project management:
1. **Clarity of Objectives:** Clear communication helps in defining and conveying project goals and objectives to the team members, stakeholders, and clients. This ensures that everyone is on the same page and working towards the same end result.
2. **Team Collaboration:** Projects often involve multiple team members with different skills and expertise. Effective communication fosters collaboration among team members, allowing them to share ideas, address issues, and work together efficiently.
3. **Risk Management:** Open communication helps in identifying and addressing risks early in the project lifecycle. Team members can report potential issues, and project managers can take corrective actions to mitigate risks.
4. **Stakeholder Engagement:** Keeping stakeholders informed and engaged is vital for project success. Regular updates and transparent communication help manage stakeholder expectations and build trust.
5. **Problem Resolution:** Projects can encounter unexpected challenges. Good communication allows team members to discuss problems openly, brainstorm solutions, and make informed decisions to overcome obstacles.
6. **Progress Tracking:** Communication provides a means to track project progress. Team members can report their status, and project managers can assess whether the project is on track or if adjustments are needed.
7. **Documentation:** Effective communication often involves documenting project plans, requirements, changes, and decisions. This documentation serves as a reference point and helps prevent misunderstandings.
8. **Quality Assurance:** Communication ensures that quality standards and requirements are communicated to the team. It also allows for feedback and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
9. **Client Satisfaction:** If the project involves external clients or customers, good communication is essential for understanding their needs, providing updates, and addressing their concerns. Satisfied clients are more likely to provide repeat business and referrals.

As someone who is an intermediary not being afraid to bring bad news is very important but that is after doing everything possible to avoid it.
