  1. As a Project manager, communication is key. Before scheduling and during meetings I must ensure the following:
    – all key points must be well organized and planned.
    – when reporting, commence with the progress made so far in the project and end with the challenges and next steps.
    – also, don’t be afraid to tell the stakeholders the bad news but be strategic about it (one on one communication could help before informing them altogether).

  2. Communication is very important most especially with client in or to carry them along Incase of changes or addition to be made on the project. And this is done through reporting, which is key for everyone in the team to know the level of progress made on the project.
    And when reporting, I make sure that if there is any bad news. It comes towards the end of the meeting.

Keep everyone on the same timetable, and avoid delivering unpleasant news for the first time in a group environment, as this might elicit negative responses. Instead, meet with key individuals ahead of time to discuss potential difficulties and prepare them for group conversations. Continuous communication with all parties—clients, team members, and stakeholders—is required. It aids in the early detection of possible concerns, allowing you to assess possibilities and provide remedies ahead of time.

  5. Communication plays a crucial and vital role in any field of endeavour because if there’s no communication,there will be no relationship. So from the perspective of the three speakers, I think they all listed out enough reasons why communication is paramount like reaching out to clients on a daily basis, checking up for feedbacks and lots more.

    So I believe Communication should be fully utilized and maximised.

  7. All contributions from the project managers applies. Their approach to communication aligns well in my situation. Take for instance, proactive communication, keeping them updated on new developments in the projects whether favourable or not. In my organisation, dealing with latter(badnews) can be tricky, but thankfully one the project manager’s contribution is invaluable in this situation. He specified a more reasonable way to convey the information to stakeholders but most importantly, ideas on solutions should have been on ground.

In the context of my organization, one important strategy is implementing regular communication channels, such as team meetings and progress updates, helps ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project objectives. Another strategy is encouraging collaboration across departments which fosters teamwork, and allows diverse expertise to contribute to problem-solving and innovation.
