As much as communication is important in project management, knowing what, how and when to communicate is very crucial. Understanding the team or individual you are also communicating with helps you tailor your communication properly without compromising your values or the project or organisational values.
As a project manager, constant communication with the stakeholders cannot be over emphasized because it helps both the project manager and the clients to be on the same clear page on the project. As a project manager, the importance of Good and intentional communication can not be overemphasized as it helps to reduce the risk of misunderstandings and keep the project moving forward by effectively communicating expectations, goals, and tasks.
I believe for every aspect of communication getting the right information is very important. I foresee problems through communication as well.
I also resonated with when one of the PM’s said tailor our communication style to the person you are talking to. It works every time. When bringing bad news also come with solutions.
In my role, Having a written down communication plan is very important and getting the right information needed is also important.
In my role, constant communication and a written communication system are both crucial strategies that fit well with our needs. Constant communication ensures that our team members, partners, and clients are always in sync, especially as we handle diverse projects like events and concierge services. With the fast-paced nature of entertainment, updates and decisions often need to be made on the go, so keeping everyone on the same page through frequent communication is key.
A written communication system helps in creating a reference point for every aspect of our projects. For instance, documenting our communication keeps track of decisions made, responsibilities assigned, and timelines set. This is especially beneficial for our larger events, where multiple stakeholders are involved, as it reduces misunderstandings and provides clear guidelines for everyone involved.

In my organization communication and empathy are important because we deal with different people from different backgrounds, hence we have to trade carefully. communication is important because it improves teamwork and problem-solving.
