  1. I have learnt it is especially important to communicate with stake holders, especially of timelines can not be met on schedule or if changes that are particularly significant to a project are to be made or being made.

  2. One thing I have learn is not to present failure quick to stakeholders but to communicate with theme one on one first.

Thank you DEXA for the opportunity
For the project management skills I am lacking in the communication aspect.
How I will improve is to
    1. Take courses on public speaking
    2. Read books on communication
    3. Follow people and get a mentor on communication

  4. Communication is one of the topmost/coreset of skills required of a project manager. It consist of the message itself, mode/medium of communication, the language and the receivers. However, I really support having a good communication plan, frequently communicate issues with stakeholders (Clients, Sponsors, Team members etc). The advantages of this are that, it enable one to foresee problems, enable everyone to understand the level of progress and possible challenges to be resolved. So, therefore, a good project manager must not be afraid to bring issues to the table so that all options are analyzed and possible solutions follows.

  5. One thing that stands out for me & is relatable is the Timelines/Deadlines

It’s important to communicate with the Stakeholders on whether timelines given to projects are realistic or not
If for some reason, the deadline is looking unrealistic , quickly communicate with cogent reasons why you will need a reschedule

Also, communicate new timelines, so that everyone will adjust their calendar & resources to fit the new dates

  6. Communicating with stakeholders is really important. I would prefer constant or frequent communication in order to keep the stakeholders abreast on the level of progress, unforseen issues and funding problem if such need arises.
