We shouldn’t be afraid to communicate when things are going wrong. There is need for everyone to collaboratively with the project vision
Clear and effective communication with the project team, stakeholders and client is a vital skill as it will help me in conveying ideas, and instructions, and getting feedback. Improving this skill will involve taking public speaking courses, practicing active listening, and even using a few digital tools to aid better communication
Now I understand that communication skills are essential skill as project managers. as a project manager communication should often be the order of the day so as to help in shearing important ideals amongst team mates, build good relationships and can also promote growth.
Communication is one and I see as the most important skills to have as a project manager because as a project manager you need to be up ur game with your stakeholders ensuring the right information is passed across to them and every report on the project is being communicated. In that way as a manager you knw your progress,risk arising or whatever challenges the project will face along the way. Being an effective project manager, passing effective communication is a vital key in moving ur work forward,in that way every one including stakeholders n teammembers are in line with ur work.
Communication is the key by communicating with the stakeholders and giving feedback and also seeking for their opinions whenever the needs arise is the best in other to tackle any challenges that might occur during the project before getting out of hands.
Communication is very important to achieve a successful outcome in any project. So, before communicating to the stakeholders make sure what ever you are going to say or write is clear, accurate and easy to understand.
Communication strategies varies with different stakeholders. Some stakeholders prefer visual results, so you keep up to that by presenting visual representations to them and inspire them. Secondly, some are action-oriented so you make sure you are quick fast as possible and so on. I believe i have worked with clients that prefer visual representations of whatever you are working on, so i try to present them with visual report of the outcome while we are having discussions.
Reporting is key to knowing progress!
Effective communication goes a long way toward boosting the success of a project. So I find it crucial for project managers to be good and persuasive communicators.
Communication is an essential tool and to that fact there should be a clear means of communication between the project manager and the stakeholders for the growth and betterment of the management.
