  3. Effective communication is key in my role, and the strategies discussed by the project managers in the video align with my experience:

    Tailoring Communication: I adjust my communication style based on the stakeholder. For technical teams, I focus on facts, while for emotional clients, I use empathy. For innovative stakeholders, I align the project with their vision.

    Transparency and Regular Updates: Regular communication helps manage expectations and keeps stakeholders engaged, especially in my role at MTN Ghana where clients need timely updates on technical or billing issues.

    Handling Difficult Conversations: When delivering bad news, I ensure I have solutions ready to maintain confidence and show proactivity.

    Feedback Loops: Daily feedback and updates keep the project on track and help mitigate risks by involving stakeholders in the process.

    In summary, clear communication, transparency, and handling tough conversations are essential strategies in my role.

    In all of these, let the right kind and amount of information needed to foster the right action be passed.
    It’s also important to note that the project manager should not be scared of bringing bad news to the table so long as is not his first conversation with stakeholders, and he has his options figured out.
