  1. Communication is a key element needed by a project manager. For the previous organization I have worked it, we did more written communication, which often stands as evidence for future references

  2. As a competitive project manager the importance of constant communication cannot be over-emphasized, and your ability to understand what the stakeholders want from you as a PM.Also, understanding your personal interest whether your people oriented, analytical, or someone who gets things done quickly is a good quality of a PM.
Also it’s important to document every step of the way while managing your project and make adjustments where necessary

  3. As a project manager, understanding the stakeholders is very important in any project.
Involving the stakeholders makes the work easier because they’ll be aware of both the good news and the bad news.

  4. Effective and clear communication is very important.
You must understand the best way of communicating to different stakeholders that they will understand as they have different ways of receiving and processing information.
Never be afraid of bringing bad news to the table as it is part of the Project Managers roles to ensure issues are addressed and resolved and by doing so ensure you analyse all the options and give possible solution. However, it is advised to inform the stakeholders individually of the bad news before bringing it to the general meeting with them.

  6. Even as a virtual assistant effective communication is very important
It helps in providing clarity on meeting project goals

  7. As a project manager, clear and effective communication is essential. This means understanding how to tailor your message to suit different individuals, as each stakeholder may have their own preferred way of receiving and processing information. It’s important to identify and adapt to these differences to ensure your message is understood.

I also learned that you should never deliver bad news or report a failure without having a proposed solution in hand. Additionally, it’s best to inform stakeholders privately about bad news before bringing it up in a larger meeting.

  8. Communicating effectively with stakeholders ensures smooth project execution. A project manager must develop strong communication skills.

It is also important to identify your stakeholders and understand their personalities. This will help you determine the best approach for engaging with each of them.

A project manager is expected to thrive in chaotic situations. Don’t shy away from difficult conversations, but handle them with diplomacy.

  9. From this video I learnt that as a project manager you need to have a good communication skill
Communicate with your team and also your line manager.
Understand the kind of person your sponsor is and also be open to good and bad news
And also learn your communication any news to your team and your sponsor

  10. My take back in this session is, ability to recognize who all your stakeholders are in handling a project, helps you to know how to navigate each process and also helps you to communicate to the right stakeholders holder for every requirement and at every step. Also one thing I took home from the video I just watched is do not be afraid to share bad news, also learn to be diplomatic about it, do not introduce a bad news to every stakeholder at the same time in a meeting, its wiser to meet with each stakeholder one on one to share whatever problems there might be.
