For a project manager, communication skills are non-negotiable. It is an essential competency that every project manager must possess. Effective communication should always be solution-oriented and aimed at reaching a meaningful conclusion.

A project manager must also recognize that stakeholders have diverse personalities and dispositions. Therefore, maintaining clear and respectful communication with each stakeholder sometimes on a personal, individual level is crucial for project success.

Additionally, a project manager should not shy away from delivering bad news. However, it is important that such news is accompanied by a well-thought-out, proposed solution. This approach builds trust and demonstrates proactive leadership.

Effective communication is very important inside the project team. In my organisation I will apply the written communication style,by making a plan of all the information i will like to pass to the stakeholders. And i can also adapt the tailoring my communication style, this style will carry everyone along and make them committed to the project.

I think one of the strategy that has worked well for me out of the ones mentioned by the 3 project managers was tailoring the communication style to each stakeholder, where in my case the owner of the company being a high influence and high interest stakeholder in that particular project and was very interest in the details of the project, he was informed, ever detail and analysis about the project were presented to him and every step of the way

A project manager, as said in the video, is to communicate effectively with the stakeholders in a way they understand individually. Some may be people-orientated or statistically inclined and may need facts to back up your response, so different communication techniques are to be used.
