Keeping everyone informed of the progress made on the project and setting realistic timelines.
If there’s going to be a risk, ensure every team member is carried along through each steps.

  3. Just as a customer service support relates with a client, and I mean being all empathetic and understanding,a project manager related with his /her stakeholders in like manner,so as to achieve the goals.

Strong stakeholder communication is one of the most critical skills for a project manager. It directly influences project success, stakeholder satisfaction, and risk management.
    Why Stakeholder Communication Matters
    (1) Builds trust and credibility – Transparent updates prevent misunderstandings.
(2)Aligns expectations – Ensures stakeholders understand scope, timelines, and deliverables.
(3)Reduces risks – Early communication helps identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
(4)Boosts engagement – Stakeholders feel valued when their input is heard and acted upon.

In my role as a Project Planner, Project Manager, and Technical Advisor at MTX Resources Limited, I have learned that communicating with stakeholders requires adapting my approach depending on who I am engaging. When dealing with executive management and clients on projects such as FPSO inspection campaigns, I focus on high-level reporting, emphasizing schedule, cost, risk, and asset uptime rather than technical details.
However, when communicating with engineers, offshore teams, and inspection personnel, I shift to a more detailed and procedure-driven style, ensuring clarity in scope, timelines, and safety requirements to avoid delays or rework.
Also, when engaging regulators and compliance bodies, my communication becomes more formal and documentation-focused, ensuring alignment with standards and asset integrity requirements. Overall, I see my role as a bridge between board room decisions and field execution, translating technical realities into business impact while ensuring smooth project delivery.

  6. Communication is always the key to success for all projects manager and it foster the rapid growth of any organization

  7. The part that stood out for me is tailoring your communication style to the kind of stakeholders you are working with. This highlights the essence of having observational skills and starting out strong in a project by gaining clarity on stakeholder’s expectations with regards to reporting. How do they want the reports? What medium? How often? In complex situations, having data and information that explain the status of the project.
