  1. Communication with stakeholders at the start of a project is important. I particularly prefer setting up a system where by the stakeholders receive feedvsvjs and or reports monthly or at the start of a particular milestone or stage.

  2. As a project manager in a reputable company, constant communication is very important as the key for a successful project.

Since communication is a two way process, feedbacks are the results of a successful communication. In doing so, communication plan should be put in place. Communicate with everyone on the team both stakeholders in their various levels of understanding and never assumed that they already know what you’re talking about. Just give them the needed information.

A better way of attaining high result is speaking with love and care, it helps to inspire people.

  3. As an Architect and a Project manager working in a Regeneration area. I Considered communication as key when dealing with the stakeholders. In the inception, I make sure I understand the needs and expectations of various stakeholders, including local communities, my team, investors, and CDA groups. I listened and engaged them regularly because Stakeholders need to be kept informed of project progress, challenges, and changes. I Scheduled meetings and gives project reports clearly as scheduled.
Although, different stakeholders have varying levels of expertise and interest in some of the architectural details presented to them. I adapted to their communication style and content to suit them, using plain language and visual aids such as 3D models and clear renderings to make the presentation easier for stakeholders to visualize the project and understand its impact.
In addition, I Created channels for stakeholders to provide feedback and ask questions. This fosters engagement allows me to addressed their concerns or suggestions promptly, especially during disagreement or conflict. I proffered solutions that align with the project’s goals and stakeholder interests.
The consistency in organising town hall meetings, open houses, and workshops gives us opportunity to highlights how the regeneration project will benefit the environment and the community This has helps us build trust, prevents confusion and reinforces the project’s objectives that are aligns with the community’s values, needs, sustainability and social responsibility.
In essence, a Project Manager who is also an architect must excel not only in architectural design but also in the art of effective communication to ensure the success of a regeneration project and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
