If I want to carry out any successful project, all hands needs to be on deck, constantly communicating with sponsors, team members, clients and peers. Communication brings out efficiency and productivity in any project.

  3. Communication is an important aspect of project management. Having a written out communication plan has increased efficiency and productivity in my organization. This plan guides me on how to communicate the right information and strategies at the right time. As a project manager, effective communication is key to enable stakeholders and the team achieve project goals.

  4. Communication is key and one aspect that was a whoa for me in this video is that we can have one to one discussion with stakeholders versus just throwing the “bomb” in the stakeholders meeting. Effective communication can make a project succeed while lack of it can mar the project.

    1. Communication is play prominent Vita roles that lead to accomplish determine organizational goals, communication with the major stake holders must be paramount and it’s reveal effective efficiency on what cost and procedure’s that can apply in order to reach the determination of the project on management.

  5. To me it is important that communication is a two way thing, that is, not only are reports made, feedbacks are expected to be given.
Secondly, frequent updates are also to be given daily,on either changes or addition to the project plan.
Thirdly, cogent information should not be retained as it is a right of both stakeholders and project team members to know what is going on with the project, this takes us back to the transparency of the communicator.

  6. Communicating with stakeholders is as important as the project itself; because it helps to place all hands on deck, keeping them abreast with the newest development, changes and status report.

When there is a breach of communication, there is a tendency of achieving an unsatisfactorily project.

  7. I believe communication is one of the key components between in project management. Because with constant communication you get to know the dos and don’ts at every level of the project.
Also communication in Project Management with stakeholders is very important at every level becoz it brings about proper and better supervision, with a smooth and transparent work being done.

  8. Think about your organizational context. Which of the strategies suggested by the project managers apply well in your situation?
    For me as Project Manager
    1. What works well in my organization is the PM must communicate with the Client and communicate same with the project management team (PMT) and not excluding any third party vendors as well.

    2. Before reporting the PM makes sure he has a well documented communication plan and speaking directly to those on ground to get a clear picture of the issues in case there are kick backs. Reporting is a key to make sure everyone understand the level of progress being made on the project.

    3. Communicating on time to make sure we are all working within the same realistic time schedule is also key and that the offer made financially is in the time with the expectation of our stakeholders.

    4. Never be afraid to bring in any issue to the table as on the role of a PM is to resolve disputes and issues but at the same time he must have done his home work with possible options to proffer the solution. And he should never start his first meeting with the clients with bad new but instead he set up meeting with them individually before coming to the general house to avoid the element of surprise.

  9. some common strategies for effective stakeholder communication are:

    – Identify and analyze the stakeholders and their interests, expectations, and influence on the project.
    – Use a variety of communication channels to reach your stakeholders, such as email, phone, video conferencing, or in-person meetings.
    – Be clear, transparent, and honest. Share good and bad news with your stakeholders and address any issues or problems openly.
    – Listen actively and invite feedback from your stakeholders. Show that you value their opinions and input
    – Communicate with purpose and frequency. Establish a communication plan that outlines the goals, methods, and frequency of communication for each stakeholder group.
    – Encourage one-to-one communication and collaboration among stakeholders. Build trust and rapport with your stakeholders and foster a positive relationship.

The best strategies for your situation may depend on your organizational context, such as the size, scope, and complexity of your project, your organization’s culture and values, and your stakeholders’ preferences and personalities. You may want to consider the following questions:

    – What are the main objectives and deliverables of your project?
    – Who are the key stakeholders and what are their roles and responsibilities in the project?
    – How do they prefer to communicate and how often do they expect updates?
    – What are the potential risks and challenges that may affect the project and the stakeholders?
    – How can you measure and report on the progress and outcomes of the project to your stakeholders?
