You need to understand their roles, responsibilities, goals, interests, and concerns related to the project. You also need to assess their communication preferences, such as how often, how much, and how they want to receive project updates, reports, and feedback.

You need to define the purpose, scope, frequency, format, and channel of your communication for each stakeholder group. You also need to consider the level of detail, complexity, and technicality of your message, depending on the stakeholder’s knowledge, expertise, and interest in the project.
