  1. The need to foster proper communication, ensure they are clear with the project in details, work with their schedule and not be afraid to share bad news or updates but balance the situation by proffering solutions and keeping the stakeholders calm in all situation.

  2. Foster clear and effective communication because project managers who can communicate effectively are more likely to have better control over the project, make informed decisions, and build strong relationship with their team members and stake holders and hence leading to successful completion of the project within budget and on time.
effective communication also helps in managing expectations by keeping stakeholders informed, project manager can ensure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to the project scope ,budget and timelines. This can help to prevent misunderstanding and conflicts from arising later on the project.

  4. Having clear lines of communication with all stakeholders and making clear and concise yet brief messages that they are able to understand is important. Try to understand the language of each stakeholder so that the right words will be used in communication. It is important to know that the communication is not complete until the receiver understands, therefore always make sure that you get feedback from each stakeholder that you are both on the same page regarding the project.

  5. In order to manage the project properly, communication is really important. Learning the kind of clients i am working with and developing a strategy on how to communicate with them. I also need to be more transparent. Also having a written down communication plan will help to direct me on how to go about interacting with each stakeholder, also being in regular contact with project team, sponsors and clients will enable me know when there are changes, or if everyone is working with the same time schedule etc.

  6. Communicating with the stakeholders is pivotal and provides adequate information needed inside and outside the project team. As a Project Manager, constant communication with all lines of control is key, communication styles, written down communication plans and Reporting is key to understand the level of progress in the team.

    1. Constant and continuous communications by the Project Manager enhances trust from the client/ project sponsor, and also earns him/her company loyalty this could be achieved by email updates, giving progress reports, conducting surveys and presentations etc.

  7. As a Project Manager you must carefully know how to Taylor your communication towards your clients, third parties even your stakeholders. A good communication brings good feedbacks. But there are things to note as a project manager:
    1. Don’t be afraid to bring bad news to the table, though it shouldn’t be on the first day.
    2. Communicate the news to the stakeholders individually as to avoid panic on the meeting day.
    3. Analyse your options before tabling it.
    4. Communicate your plan to the stakeholders on the progress of the project if the deadline would be realistic on the said date or not.
    Communication is key …

    Thank you

  8. The importance of good and effective communication between the project manager and stakeholders cannot be overemphasized. As a project manager, one need to be able to communicate their plans and ideas to the stakeholders as well as their team members effectively and transparently.

    1. Communication forms a major part of any project work and constant communication is key in ensuring that every member of the every stakeholder is carried along. Apart from being constant, communication has to be timely as well. As a product manager, you may have the responsibility of ensuring the success of the project, but the execution is usually going to be done by other members of the team. It is important that they get the information that they need on time, so they do whatever they need to and the project stays on schedule.

We struggle with timely communication in my school. Most times, people who are responsible for getting a task done receive the information late and it often leads to complaints and higher stress levels in trying to meet up with the deadlines. Recently, we came up with a communications plan document that spells out the ways through which we can communicate with different parts of the school including timelines. We are seeing gradual improvements.

So, having a communications plan is helpful.

  9. As a project manager, effect communication is needed between the project manager and the stakeholders to enable them carry out each project effectively.
The project manager should ensure that they get feedback at every point in time from the stakeholders. And make sure such feedback are properly recorded for future use.

    1. It’s a good idea meeting all the stakeholder individually informed them about new development before bringing it to open forum this make every one bring his or her view about the progress.
