  1. Communication is a bedrock of successful projects, communication is vital with stakeholders, clients and particularly team members, constant communication leave no or minimal room for error.

  2. Constant communication with stakeholders is very vital in project management, getting feedback to ensure the stakeholders understand the right message will put everyone on the project on the same page.

  3. Communication plays a vital role in all aspect of works. being able to communication with stakeholders on the ideas/plans for the ongoing project gives them an insight on what to expect and feedback is also important to enable to team achieve the set goals.

  4. As a facility manager, one of the easiest way to manage maintenance operations is via effective communication. At every point in time that there is a change on my schedule, i must communicate it even before it happens. Sometimes it may come late due to some unexpected events, but it must be made known to all clients and line managers as appropriate.

    For me and my organization, daily reporting (written) is a part of every bit of our operations. As a person, I have always emphasized that the most important factor for a successful project is communication. It is the bed-rock of any project. (See my LinkedIn Page)

    Communication must be vertical and horizontal as well. While we engage with the project sponsors and other external stakeholders consistently, we must also engage the project team members effectively. Without this, project is already 50% failed.

As a practicing Mechanical Engineer, in a manufacturing industry, having watched the video on some of the suggested strategies project managers adopt during project excussion applying it to the situation in my company; Project manager in my company we have a documented communication plan between the PM and contractors.
    Sending of detailed daily reports on work progress.
    Daily tool box meeting is held with the contractor and his team for update, safety guide and to sensitize them on some of the key risk associated to the project.

  6. Constant communicating and receiving feedback from stakeholders, then discussing the feedback with the other team members is the most effective way to communicate as a project manager.

  7. As both the administrative head and HR manager of our organization, I cannot stress enough the importance of effective communication in fulfilling my duties. From managing administrative tasks to handling HR functions, communication serves as the cornerstone of success in every aspect of our operations.
    Whether it’s coordinating with teams, conducting negotiations, or addressing employee concerns, clear and concise communication is essential. Without it, vital information may be lost, leading to misunderstandings and inefficiencies in our processes.
    As I oversee various administrative tasks and HR functions, I recognize that my ability to communicate effectively directly impacts the organization’s overall performance. Therefore, I must prioritize ensuring that messages are conveyed accurately and that there is a feedback mechanism in place to assess comprehension and address any concerns promptly.
    In fulfilling my role, I commit to fostering a culture of open communication, providing necessary guidance and support, and continuously refining my communication skills to better serve our organization’s needs. By doing so, I aim to facilitate smooth operations, foster collaboration, and drive success in our endeavors.

  8. Communication cannot be over emphasized, because talking about other aspects like negotiations, it will have to be by communicating either physically, virtually or by any means.
    However, effective communication is the real deal… Because you may have something to say, and don’t have a proper means or way to say it, and so information is not passed, and there is no feedback.
    So as much as we will communicate, let’s be able to make sure that the audience get the information well, and there is a feedback to know how deep the Information was passed

  9. As a Tailor, I need constant communication with my clients. This has to be done directly. From mutual agreement on the styles that fits both the fabric and client most, to additional materials needed for perfect finishing. Should a particular raw material needed be unavailable, the client need to be informed on possible options/alternative. If there is change in cost due to changes in cost of raw materials, clients need to be communicated to. Also, if there is any change in delivery time agreed, I need communicate this to the client and made to understand the cause of delay.
    In the case of hiring more hands when there’s multiple project at a time, there is need for constant communication with those hired on how the work should be done and the time-lag involved in the project.
    In all, constant communication is key in project management.

  10. People think differently. As a PM frequent communication with the stakeholders is key. This will limit the excuses of ‘i thought” and actually do everything according to plan. Communication also helps in fetching opinions on what is not working and what is working,
