First, I got to understand that communicating with the project sponsor, clients, project team members and peers/other project managers is crucial.
The strategies that most apply in my present organization are:
1. Writing down all my intended communications with the different stakeholders.
2. Bring up evidence to back every statement I make to the project sponsor, who is analytical.
Effective communication management is very vital as a project manager, that will enhance ones relationship with his team members as well as the relevant stakeholders who are directly in involve in the project. even negotiation cannot be effective without effective communication.
Without a sufficient project communication plan, it’s impossible to keep all responsible parties up-to-date on the changing status of the project. There’s a lack of transparency which eventually leads to inefficient, counterproductive decisions that will hinder the aims of the project in question.
So communication is key, to have a successful project.
