  1. As a Project Manager, communication is key in the role. Never hide information from stakeholders as it is very important. At the start of any project, make sure you have done a very extensive information about the project at hand and explain in details to the stakeholders so that they can be clear of what the project is about.

    If their is a bad news, never present that on the first meeting and if you need to, meet each stakeholder personally before presenting it openly.

    Also, get feedbacks from them on whatever message is being discussed as this will help you know how well the meeting/discussion is doing. Watch out for body languages also

  2. As a project manager it is important to have a communication plan or schedule. However it is also important to determine the right information for each stakeholder and how best to present it.

  3. As a project manager, communication in all phases are necessary. Communicating with the stakeholders, clients and team members using the right approach and promptly helps the progress of the project. Also, bad reports aren’t bad but it shouldnt be dropped as a bombshell during meetings rather the PM should first of all, meet with the stakeholders individually and communicate this to them before bringing it to meeting. It helps them prepare their minds and measure the next possible outcome

In summary, communication is the foundation for a productive team environment and is key to achieving project success.

Transparency and honesty in the information that is communicated is extremely necessary. Get feedback from your team and adjust if changes need to be made. Make sure to note that every stakeholder is not the same and you should have different communication styles that apply to each one of them.

    3. Tailor your communication style to suit different stakeholders, as different stakeholders have different comprehension of information
    4. Never bring bad news for the first time in a general meeting, but also don’t be afraid to communicate it
    5. Timely communication is the key.
