  1. Communication and understanding is a very crucial skill as a project Manager,
    As a project manager you don’t have to be afraid and you should be able to communicate any failures or issues that occur in the project with your team and clients and also you should be able to create a solution for the team and your clients .

  2. Effective Communication is key!
    As a project manager, it is imperative that you customize your communication style to suit the diverse needs of stakeholders. Effective communication plays a major role in the success of any project. Therefore, it is essential to plan and structure your communication approach and request feedback from stakeholders.

    It is important also to recognize that individuals have different communication preferences. While Some stakeholders are result-oriented and prefer concise, direct communication. As such, it is necessary to convey information quickly and accurately to these individuals. Some others stakeholders may require more detailed information and may need to be inspired and educated about the project’s objectives. Thus, it is important to provide thorough explanations and take the time to answer any questions or concerns that they may have.
    As much as communication is important for a project manager, it is also important for a project manager to have a written communication plan when dealing with stakeholders. This will help a project manager to be able to outline important discussions to bring up or issues that needs to be addressed. Also, when communicating as a project manager, communicate to inspire the stakeholders to see possibilities in the project and produce concrete evidence can be convincing.

    1. A project manager should communicate with stakeholders in a clear, concise and timely manner,adapting their approach to each stakeholder group’s needs and preferences.
      Based on the video, a project manager should not be afraid to bring bad information or reviews to the stakeholders but this should be done in a proper and clear way and also be prepared with an answer. Communication to stakeholders has to be planned. Also as project manager you should understand the stakeholders and their orientation and adjust your communication style to the stakeholder you are dealing with at that time.

Based on the Video, I think communicating about failures or breakdown of essential machines is essential and also being prepared with an answer is essential for the a project manager and this will work perfectly in my organisation as it involves use of machines and also, dependent on vendor supplies which can either break down( machine) or delay in supply (vendor). there by altering with project deliverable and timelines.     It’s very much okay to have a bad review from people, but as a PM, when such reviews comes in your ability to resolve it is what makes you a good project manager. Being able to find solutions to every conflict around your table.

  7. Understand the people and orientation of the people you are dealing with and adjust your communication style to the person in front of you. In doing this, you can be as effective as possible;
    If you are dealing with who is Action Oriented, You should be quick and be gone as fast as possible.
    If it’s someone who is Analytical,you have to bring evidence and data to back up whatever you are saying.
    If the person is people oriented, you need to show that you care about message you are conveying.
    Some are innovators, they live in the future, you need to give them a vision, you need to inspire them, give them a story.

  8. Communication is a very important skill to have as a project manager. The ability to know when to communicate and the right amount of information to give. And also like the second speaker said, PMs should not be afraid to bring bad news to the sponsor or whoever employed the PM, however at the same having a solution on ground is also very good. In the event planning industry, the couple that employed you does not have to know the number of servers that are coming or the number of band members. The thing that they should know is that the band is coming, the number doesn’t count as important information to the client however the number of band members coming count as important information to the caterer so that he or she will be able to cater appropriately to everyone.

  9. Communication is the best key to project management, know what to say at every point in time, before bringing bad news to the table, discuss with the different stakeholders individually let them be informed about it first before putting it at the table during the meeting and non of them will be shocked, you will also have collected information individually from them.
    Communication will help to get more information about the project and the PM will know how and when to pass it to his team.

  10. As a Project manager, do not be scared of initiate a new project to the team or stakeholders. Your role as a PM is to the organization is very important and your communicate with your team entails informations timely in order to ensure an effective and efficient
