3 experts have described difficult decisions they had to take in one project.
Now think about what was important for them in taking the decision the took. Would they act differently in a different context? Why?

Integrity, team work, safety, communication and respect are the core values in my organisation.
All of the managers encountered challenges, but their major propeller is the the success of the project which was their target. Individual approach to each challenges encountered is keen.
From the video, what was important for the Project Managers for taking the decision they took was their stakeholder(client) satisfaction. At some point as PMs challenges would come and best way of resolving such challenges is through communication with the team members and also the Client.
Also, some decisions may require a PM to terminate, learn a language, or sort for a solution outside the project mapped area(according to the video)
Definitely, the PMs would have acted differently in different situations because there is no static solution to challenges that one faces as a PM. In other words, solutions are tailored according to the challenges.
Communication, discussion and cooperation with stakeholders are the key ingredients in providing solutions to difficult situations by project managers
My understanding from the video is that as a project manager, there’s most likely going to be a problem during the course of the project and how you solve it depends on how you relate with team members and stakeholders
From the video, I understand that problems/challenges are bound to happen during projects but as a project manager, one has to find the most befitting solutions by making decisions that will balance competing factors while prioritizing the project goals.
As a project manager, ensure to educate your team members on cultural differences to avoid miscommunication and ensure project plans, requirements and updates are clearly documented and accessible
Capture knowledge gained during the project to apply to future initiatives

As a project manager, you have to try your best to keep your ego aside sometimes to meet the needs of the people involved so as to keep the project going.
Dealing with difficult decisions reply
I agree that project managers often face tough choices and should look for ways to keep the project going instead of ending it. Like paying for contingencies to bring water to the event center. Another idea is to break the project into smaller parts and solve one issue at a time. This makes it easier to manage and helps the team stay focused.
