3 experts have described difficult decisions they had to take in one project.
Now think about what was important for them in taking the decision the took. Would they act differently in a different context? Why?

Project Management comes with different difficulties. In the video, the three Project Managers share their difficult experience handling a project and how they were able to navigate to make sure the project continued despite the difficulty through proper communication.
As a project manager, it is important to understand that challenges are likely to arise during the course of a project — but encountering challenges does not mean the project is a failure. Navigating through such obstacles requires the project manager to maintain transparency and ensure clear communication at all times.
In the video, one project manager faced a language barrier, while another had to terminate a project before its expected due date. Despite these challenges, transparency and effective communication proved essential in managing the situations successfully.
Regarding whether they would have acted differently, I personally believe the project managers would not have taken different actions, as their decisions were guided by strong core values that influence how they manage projects and respond to difficulties.
Managing projects comes with difficulties. Experts in the video have come across difficulties such as language barriers, pulling off a project before delivery etc. Clear communication and transparency together with core values has helped them make decisions that will benefit the organization in a long run as well as carrying the team along.
Difficulties such as when there was a decision to terminate the project early and language of communication due to the taking of experts from different countries are highlighted by the project managers.

To my own knowledge,Managing projects comes with a lot of difficulties. And the experts in the video have come across difficulties such as language barriers, pulling off a project before delivery and other difficulties. Clear communication and transparency together with core values has helped them make decisions that will benefit the organization in a long run.
As a project manager, one thing that is certain is to experience challenges in an ongoing project. From the video, the key steps taken in resolving their problems and challenges was a proper communication and transparency which brought about the solutions to the challenges.
Until that was done the success of the project was not seen.
In conclusion, I think they will act differently in different ways as solutions are fixed according to the challenges.
Projects managers often face unforeseen challenges, highlighting the critical need for adaptability in project management. When deviations from the original plan arise, maintaining transparency and open communication becomes essential. One project manager recounted a situation where a project had to be discontinued ahead of schedule due to unexpected complications. Although it was a difficult decision, taking proactive steps early helped avoid more significant issues later. This example underscores the value of honest communication and decisive leadership in navigating project uncertainties.

In the video, the experts faced difficult decisions such as whether to continue or end a project, how to balance priorities, and how to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. What stood out was their focus on long-term impact, efficient resource use, and stakeholder engagement.
These decisions were shaped by their context—available resources, timing, and the urgency of outcomes. In a different context, such as with more funding or different stakeholder interests, their decisions might have been different.
The key takeaway is that ethical considerations, collaboration, and adaptability are crucial in project decision-making. Good leaders remain flexible but grounded in the project’s core goals.
The three experts have tackled difficult scenarios to make a difficult decisions in one project or the other as a professional in project management. The one I clearly want to emphasize on is the bringing of bad news to the table.
Bringing bad news to the table is a very difficult decision to make but what was important was, making good decision for the project. I don’t think there is a different way of bringing bad news to the table of the stakeholders because, risk are prone to occur in every project. The main point of bringing bad news to the table is finding a way to mitigate it or find an optimistic solution.
