  1. The decision to terminate a project early, as mentioned by the first speaker in the video, could be very painful, but it could help to avoid further loss or like she said, maybe its no more a priority to the sponsor. The issue of water shortage and the decision to either give up or negotiate and collaborates with others who are willing to provide it. And the issue of communication pointed out by the third speaker. The important thing for all three speakers was a determination to successfully deliver the project in the face of challenges. With such a mindset, their decision won’t be different even in a different context except in the occasion where the sponsor or client pulls out.

  2. On my own opinion, I believe they would not have acted entirely differently in a different context, yes they might take a different approach to solving the problem if the context was different. But in the end, they will still follow the ethics in project and principles to make their decisions.

Terminating a project likely meant avoiding further loss or harm.

Addressing water shortage meant protecting health and safety.

Managing language barriers was about ensuring clear communication and success.

In a different context, they might act differently if conditions change — for example, if there were more resources, better support, or more time. Decisions depend on the situation, risks, and available options.

  4. Putting the need of their clients and the project at hand was exceptionally carried out and the need to make changes in difficult situations is duly noted

‎The three experts describe their experiences and difficult decisions they had to take during a project, where an option to terminate a project earlier comes up, not having enough water supply, which was also discouraging, but at the same time they had a positive mindset, creating room for dialogue and negotiations, brings out the solution to the problem.
‎However, finding oneself in a different context may affect your decisions, but as a project Manager you should always be positive, believe in your team, have good communication skills and always be ready to work with the Community.

  7. Well, they wouldn’t, just like the lady said, everything was put onto consideration, and that would make a project come to an end(however putting it out there to the team as well why).

  8. Communication and negotiation is all about creating a win-win situation for all stakeholders in a project. I think this project managers did wonderfully in this contexts and this goes to show how they would act in all other type of contexts.

The ability to drop their ego, gather relevant stakeholders and resources and the grit to push through obstacles are all wonderful project manager traits that this experts showed.

    1. For me i think the PM was good in this context because it actually shows how they would behave in other context.
