By reading and understanding the terms of service. Then not agreeing if it’s against my security protocols to protect my data, and also be careful not to provide sensitive information.

2. Set the privacy settings to protect my identity.
3. Use a strong and unique password.
4. Use VPN security.
5. Limit the third party access to my provided information
6. Use two steps authentication factor.
7. Always update the backup settings.
Before signing a legal agreement with any network provider company, you first have to bear in mind. that your information can be re-use and secondly I have to reset my privacy settings so as to confined some information about me
I am guilty of always signing up online with service providers without reading the Terms of Service. From now on will make sue to read the Terms of Service carefully and thoroughly before I agree to any online service.
It is important I do not give out unnecessary information or information that has not been requested by the service provider.
I have to create strong passwords for any online accounts that I create or sign up for. Better still to create strong passphrases as I have learnt from the course so far.
I can use us the 2 factor authentication to make my account more secure.
It will would be for my interests to also be able to encrypt my data so that it is not accessible to unauthorized persons.

How I will protect my data when dealing with an online service provider.
I’m a naturally suspicious person, but with what I’ve learnt in this Cybersecurity course, I’m going to be even extra suspicious.
To protect my data
1. I will be highly suspicious, not trusting and on high alert.
2. I will read the terms and conditions, privacy policy and anything in-between carefully and read in between the lines and the small print.
3. I will use strong passwords
4. I will enable 2 factor authentication.
5. I will keep my software updated
6. I will back up my data
7. I will make sure my data is encrypted.
To protect myself when entering an agreement on, I will ensure the following :
I read the Term of Service carefully to understand what rights I am granting and how my data would be use.
Check if data is encrypted and how it is protected.
I will also review my data privacy settings and customize it to limit who can view and share my information.
Having a strong password is also very important.
