Module 2: Applications and Tools of Generative AI
Considering your profession and nature of work, how do you see generative AI impacting and enhancing your work? Can you share some tasks, processes, or other aspects of your work that have or can change through generative AI?
If you are a student, have you experienced the use of generative AI in education or training?
We encourage you to engage in a constructive discussion here:

As a student, generative AI has made research easier and seamless thereby enabling access to vast information in minutes. that could have taken you days of rigorous research to come by.
As a class teacher, I see generative AI improving teaching by making lesson planning, test creation, and preparation of teaching materials faster and more efficient. It can help generate quizzes, summarize topics, create personalized learning content, and provide creative ways to explain difficult concepts to students. AI can also assist with grading, feedback, and classroom communication, giving teachers more time to focus on student engagement and learning outcomes.
As a student and part-time writer, generative AI is very useful in conducting research for assignments and projects and also generating contents for my write-up. It is also useful in generating ideas for creative writing and subsequently, I’ll be trying it out in image, audio and video generation.
As a student of Genetics and Biotechnology, a social media manager, a community manager, a blogger, and more, my day-to-day activities are assisted with generative AI.
In my studies, the generative AI tools I use most of the time are ChatGPT and Claude. These tools help me immensely. From when exams are drawing near and I’m overwhelmed, I relate to them and they help me to declutter my mind and also serve as roadmaps, to when I’m confused about specific topics. They break it down and make everything easier.
In all my writing tasks, they do pretty well in saving time and delivering efficient contents and images, especially as they’re evolving rapidly to create very realistic images and human-relatable contents.
In my field of study which is Medical Radiography,Generative AI is already starting to change radiography greatly, and the impact will only grow. Here’s how
1. Image Acquisition & Quality*
Gen AI can upscale low-dose CT/MRI scans to higher resolution. That means less radiation for patients without losing diagnostic quality. It can also remove noise/artifacts from images in real time.
*Impact:* Faster scans, safer for pediatric patients, and better image quality in resource-limited settings where older machines are used.
*2. Reporting & Documentation*
*Enhance:* LLMs fine-tuned on radiology can draft preliminary reports from images and clinical history. You speak or type findings, and it structures a full report in RP/ACR format.
*Impact:* Cuts reporting time from 15 min to 3-5 min per case. Radiologists focus on interpretation, not typing. For interns, it helps standardize language and learn reporting structure.
*3. Education & Training*
Gen AI can create unlimited case variations for practice.
*Impact:* Interns and students get exposure to rare pathologies they might never see during a 1-year internship. Speeds up competency.
*4. Protocol Optimization
Gen AI can suggest optimal CT/MRI protocols based on patient history, indication, and prior imaging. “For this patient with renal impairment, use non-contrast protocol.”
*Impact:* Reduces repeat scans, contrast reactions, and errors from junior staff.
As a creative writer and geologist, the application of Artificial intelligence in my field makes research process seamless, as I can get access to papers, knowledge that can help boost my findings.
I believe artificial intelligence can also be applied in geology in terms of analysis.
Yes AI will be helpful to me as a guide to research, logistics, content and planning.
AI has been really helpful. In researching about business and tech and providing very good directive.
As a student and a realtor, Generative A.I has made research easier, made project work and assignment quick to do.
