    A general virtual assistant provides administrative support to a client or company in inbox and email management, appointment settings and scheduling, report, bookkeeping, calendar management as well as travel arrangements.
    On the other hand, a specialized virtual assistant is one who has identified a particular niche and has chosen a career part already. This may include law, real estate, healthcare, software engineering or even construction. Here, the VA will have to deploy his/her technical know how or specialization while working in the field.
