    A general virtual assistant performs roles such as managing email, scheduling calendar, organizing files, controling travel arrangements while a specialized virtual assistant performs roles based on his or her specialization such as e-commerce , real estate, Book keeping. A general virtual assistant is not limited to any niche and perform his or her roles across many specializations while a specialized virtual assistant is limited to a niche where he or she supports professional areas like law or healthcare.
