  1. The relevance of project management skills cannot be overemphasized because in our everyday activities, in workplaces, we’re all involved in a project one way or the other. In my work role as a relationship Banker, the project management skills is very paramount as I’d be looking forward to breaching the gap in Understanding the regulatory environment, Ethics and adherence to standards and Continual professional development.

  2. I so much believed that for any skill or business to be successful there are key factors I must master, and Project management is not an optional, it is essential and necessary that i will master Communication. As a project manager an Effective Communication will help me achieve a project Goal through assigning task and giving proper and accurate information to the team and stakeholders on time.
    Negotiation will help me to have a Genuine standard agreement with my team and clients even with the sponsors to achieve the project goals.
    Time management will ensure that tasks are completed within schedule and deadline for the project to be successful.
    Ethic and standard will build career trust and ensure successful project through my transparency, professionalism, honesty, and compliance in Companies on their projects.
    While Continuing professional development which is learning new tools, technologies, acquiring more knowledge and project management practices will help me progress more in my career as a project manager.
    In few days of studying and learning about project management, I believed that above skills will help build me more in successful career as a project manager.

  3. As a Virtual Assistant, and Customer Support Intern, I rely on project management skills every day.
    Strong communication helps me interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and customers while ensuring tasks are completed accurately
    Time management is essential because I often manage multiple priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
    Ethics and standards are important when handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism. I also need negotiation skills when coordinating with vendors, resolving customer concerns.
    My biggest skill gaps are knowledge of the regulatory environment and strengthening my negotiation skills in more complex situations. While I have practical experience, I want to deepen my understanding of project governance, compliance, and industry regulations.
    To address these gaps, I will continue learning through this Project Management Bootcamp, take additional online courses, read industry resources, seek feedback from experienced professionals, and apply what I learn in real projects. Continuous professional development will help me become a more effective project professional.

  4. The six skill areas are all important for successful project management. However, for my job as a project manager, the following are the most essential:
    1.Communication: Effective communication helps me clearly share project goals, assign tasks, resolve conflicts, and keep stakeholders informed.
    2.Negotiation: This is important for reaching agreements with clients, vendors, sponsors, and team members while balancing project objectives.
    3.Time Management: Managing time effectively ensures projects are completed within schedule and deadlines are met.
    4. Ethics and Adherence to Standards: Maintaining honesty, professionalism, and compliance with industry standards builds trust and ensures project success.
    5.Continual Professional Development: Continuously learning new tools, technologies, and project management practices helps me remain effective and competitive.

    Areas I need to improve: I need to strengthen my understanding of the regulatory environment by learning more about legal requirements, industry regulations, and compliance issues that affect project execution. I also aim to improve my negotiation skills to better manage contracts, resolve conflicts, and achieve favorable outcomes for all stakeholders.

  5. For my current job as a Departmental head in an online academy, A good number of skills are very essential
    1. Communication: I am responsible for communicating the standards and ethics of the academy with my subordinates
    2. Time management: I oversee weekly tasks and plans and ensure that they meet a stipulated deadline
    3. Knowledge of Regulatory environment: In this case, I don’t particularly study the environment as i am a major influencer. So, I ensure that ethics, protocols and procedures are clearly spelt out to facilitate the academy’s services.
    From the few days of learning about Project Management, I believe that mastering these skills is essential for a successful career in the field. They not only improve project outcomes but also strengthen leadership and team collaboration.
