All the skills are important. I would like to understand the regulatory environment, as for the others I am good at them.
All the skills are basically important but I will like to put more of my focus on time management, understanding the regulatory environment, ethics and adherence to standards, negotiation and continual professional development
Some areas where i have such gaps include in effective communication and time management. i tend to assume that what goes through my mind is also the same for another person. i overlook the need to update on all steps taken. i also lack knowledge on the regulatory environment and negotiation.
Some of the areas where I have skill gaps would be communication , time management, ethics and standards and continuing professional development
As a medical student , I find it intriguing that there a lot of opportunities for me in areas as a medical project manager .
For communication skills, I would work on giving feedbacks and proper response coordination.For time management , I would have to leverage on people to do task and also access growths level .
While I continue with this study learning a whole lot is inevitable so continuing professional abilities will be cultivated
For me , the key areas i need to strengthen are negotiation , understanding the regulatory environment , ethics and adherence to standards and continual professional development . improving my negotiation sills will help me manage expectations and work efficiently with others. Gaining better knowledge of the regulatory environment ensures that my work stays compliant and well-aligned with required policies. Upholding strong ethical standards builds trust and professionalism in all my tasks. Finally, continuous learning will help me stay updated , close skills gap and grow in my role.
As someone who finds project management very intriguing, I understand that as a beginner in this field, it is important for me to build a strong foundation in all the key skill areas.
But the areas I really to improve on more are negotiation and time management.
To bridge these skill gaps, I plan to learn and practice effective negotiation techniques, improve how I organize and prioritize my tasks, and take relevant courses, trainings.
For me, all skills are essential for continuous growth. However, as a media practitioner with over seven years of experience, the area I need to focus on mostly is continual professional development, which I believe is crucial for everyone, regardless of their profession.

I can actually bridge these gaps by learning about the environment I find myself and how the people behave. Effective management of my time can also be achieved by setting deadline on every activity and working towards it without any excuse
Okay, my job as a data analyst is essentially to assist and help business owners make informed decisions for their business, which, in a way, involves project management skills. My job requires i understand and respond clearly and concisely. I have to process information quickly and provide relevant responses efficiently. Maintaining accuracy, avoiding bias and ensuring information is appropriate are crucial. I’m constantly learning and updating my knowledge base. I will say my skill gaps are negotiation and knowledge of the regulatory environment. I don’t ‘negotiate’ in the traditional sense. I also do not have a specific regulatory environment to navigate. While i don’t negotiate, i could be improved by learning how to better understand the degrees of human interaction and the intent behind requests.
As a beginner in PM and someone who has skills in virtual assissting, all the skills are very essential but i would look forward to learning communicate effectively, negotiate well and manage my time.
The need for project managers to continually cultivate their skills in these areas is very crucial. As a data analyst transitioning into project management, I don’t possess the knowledge of the regulatory environment and negotiation. I’m hoping that i can cultivate these skills by intentionally researching on them and applying them when the time comes.
