  1. Hi, my name is Afolarin and I am currently enrolled in the DEXAs Program Management Bootcamp (Cohort 30).

    The six skills are important for effective leadership and teamwork, but I believe they must be developed at different levels to be fully effective. In my role as a sales manager, I often experience situations where all six skills naturally come into play without deliberate effort, highlighting their practical relevance

  2. Hi, my name is Pamela, and I am in DEXAs Program management bootcamp (Cohort 30).

    These six skills are one of the essential skills one must have in order to be a better team leader or team player, but I believe there are levels in which one must upgrade to for the six to be functional. As a flight consultant myself, there are certain situations I find myself that all six skills come forth without enforcing them.

  3. My name is Anigala Precious. Everyone uses these skills everyday, either as a student, worker, mom, freelancer, etc. I have had to deliberately learn the art of communication and negotiation. We can get better everyday by being intentional about learning.

Though am still taking the training but as a teacher,I already have strong communication skills in my day to day activities.Am working on my negotiation and time management skills in other to work well with my team and deliver my duties efficiently.

As a medical student, the six skills mentioned are applicable to me as I intend to venture into medical project management. Prior communication with stakeholders and investors, Negotiations, Time management so as not to waste the budget allocated for the project at hand, knowledge of the regulatory environment, ethics and standards and continuing professional development.

As a Program assistant the skills I need include Effective Communication, effective time management, strict adherence to professional standards, negotiation and continual professional development. I have learned art of effective communication, a little of negotiation and time management. I however am actively leveraging on taking courses and learning from mentors to understand the regulatory environment, ethical standards and professional development.

    Although I’m not officially a project manager, my role as a customer support analyst requires strong communication, time management, and ethical compliance skills. I am confident in communication and ethics but need to improve in negotiation and understanding the regulatory environment. To bridge these gaps, I am investing in continuous learning, better task planning, and gaining more practical exposure through my project management classes.

  9. I’m Caroline Wambui on the cohort 30 project management bootcamp with DEXA. As project manager it’s my responsibility to simplify complex ideas by simplifying and clearly defining the scope of work and deliverables with clear communication before proceeding clearly detailing the project plan for stakeholders to understand what to expect and clearly communicating the expectation where understanding ethics and standard meet the project threshold. The art of negotiation even with team members is clear and maintaining timeliness in project delivery is important.

  10. I’m Chikaodili Okoye on cohort 30 Project management Bootcamp with DEXA. . As a Production Engineer, am saddle with the responsibility to Plan, Coordinate my team of different discipline
    Almost all these six skills are applicable to me. i need to communicate with my team properly, negotiate effectively for timely delivering of projects, and have the knowledge of standards while maintaining the ethics of the job.

    1. I’m Anuoluwapo Joseph-Udoh on cohort 30 Project Management Bootcamp with DEXA. Though I’m not a project manager yet but because I’m the administrative head in an educational organization, I already use several project management skills in my daily work.

      Communication is essential because I relate with people daily, It helps me pass information clearly and avoid misunderstandings. Time management is also very important due to the many tasks and deadlines in a school setting. However, I think I’ll need to improve in negotiation, especially when managing different interests.
