2 Factors to consider when setting your VA rates:

    1. Average market rates: you don’t want your rates too high or too low as this can chase away potential customers both ways. If it’s too high, clients think you’re way too expensive and if it’s too low, they think your services are sub-standard.

    2. Your bills: you have to ensure your earning covers your bills, leaving some % behind as your profit.

Setting your pricing structure as a VA is important because it helps you track every second’s worth and saves both your time/effort and that of potential clients who guage your worth and may choose to work with you, rather than beating price unnecessarily as though it were an auction.

    B: Client Management

    1. 2 strategies for maintaining positive work relationship with clients include:
    A. Client onboarding: this leaves a good impression on clients as they assume your business is structured.
    B. Create Client systems e.g a scheduling tool like Acuity will avoid a back and forth email between the client and I if I’m to arrange a call in my pre client process.

    2. If my client is dissatisfied with my work, I should first acknowledge their feedback, thank them for it and proceed to work on the areas of concern, while assuring and ensuring such never becomes culture. Again, I can give a price discount as a “token”.

    C: Data Security
    1. 3 measures taken to ensure confidentiality of client data include:
    A. Data encryption and password protection.
    B. Using a 2-way authentication during sign up in any account.
    C. Always back-up data for files before deleting them from your device.

The two most effective ways to find a job as a virtual assistant is
    1) To know where your proposed clients or prospect are mostly active on, freelance writers are for example usually active on Twitter, For companies selling physical products; TikTok, the CEO of a start up tech could be found on linkedin ..etc It is however relevant to note that you should be pitching your skills in places where your ideal client hang out or mostly frequent on social media.

2)Another effective way would be understanding your skill and the ideal clients it appeals to .
Your skill determines your client, so if you are a social media manager that’s passionate about health and wellness for instance, you should reach out to persons in that industry, and to to a start up tech company and by doing this, you should use relevant hashtags so you can stand a chance .
