Modify the mail: after going through the mail, my next task is to modify it and keep it an an inbox zero. using the search button, I’ll search for words like newsletter, subscribe and so on and archive all mails that have them. then using the label button, I’ll set labels for mails awaiting response, to read, and follow up. As this will give my client clarity on what to do before opening those kind of mails.
iii. Create filters: to stop having to deal with mails of the same kind which are not very important, I’ll create a filter tag to filter those mails as they are coming in to send them to archive.
iv. Create Template and Signature: using the settings, I’ll draft out a mail template that is easy to use anytime and a signature that can be used at the end of the mail this could also include an headshot of my client, name, position held and name of company.
v Maintain inbox zero: to do this I’ll set out a time every day to respond to mails and make sure that every mails gets its required action.
