    A) COST OF LIVING: it is advised to set rates according to your living expenses. As a VA you’re required to render some services which would require subscription eg, canvas etc and you will need a pay that supports your lifestyle not drain you .
    B) MARKET TRENDS: you wouldn’t want to charge less than or more than what other VAs are charging cause too high but chase potential clients and too low make lead to doubt of your performance.

    1a. Factors to consider when setting my rates:
    I) Monthly living expenses peculiar to my city of residence. Making a rough estimate will give me an idea of what I should charge.
    II) Second point to consider when setting rates is the rates other VAs in my niche are charging per hour or project.

    1b. It is important to have a clear pricing structure for my business to avoid having to hassle with clients and eventually sell my self short.

    4a) I can find clients as a VA by:
    I) Creating my portfolio, blog or website where my rates and services are clearly stated, this attracts clients that want my services.
    II) Researching for my potential clients on LinkedIn and going ahead to research on them in their websites or send a message via emails outside LinkedIn.

    4b) My chosen niche gives me a focus on which particular set of clients I should search for, and automatically sieves the noise on the internet. This will save me time, energy and resources, hence I’ll be more efficient.

    i. Assess what subscription or emails they currently use – clearly communicate to get first hand information.
    ii. Clean the mail box by sieving recurring subscription and archiving what is unnecessary.

    iv. Make inbox checking a schedule.
