  1. Diversity when properly harnessed and utilized is profitable, diversity in a team can be a source of strength and knowledge hence we would different skills, experience and background. A good project manager will harness the various skills and personalities to deliver a unique and excellent job/product or project

  2. Yes a smart PM can work with diversity team. Reasons: From the example of the boat solution needed 10 Minutes. Bringing together people who don’t know each other strength well sometimes can be so effective. As you delegate them as individuals to their respective assignment, they will pay attention to instructions. No casualty, everyone is hungry to deliver at their best. Whereas, performance, can have casualty, familiarity, dragging of feet, checking who will do what first.
However, diversity can bring spice to be able to execute and deliver what is expected on time

  3. The concept of diversity is imperative. Diverse teams tend to perform better in an emergency project especially for complex situations. Connection with performance is highly rated in compare to a homogeneous team who thrive in predictable or simple situations environments.

Each team members are highly skilled and the higher the rate of diversity, the wider the scope of information, knowledge, and experience. And the more performance and low level of errors thus higher probability to achieve greater result.

Yes, there is a connection between diversity and performance.
When people from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences come together, they bring fresh ideas, different ways of thinking, and new problem-solving angles. That kind of variety can spark real innovation and help a team come up with stronger, more creative solutions.

However, working in a diverse team has its challenges. Misunderstandings or communication issues can pop up, especially if people are working from very different perspectives but that’s where inclusion comes in. When leaders create a space where everyone feels valued and encouraged to contribute, that’s when diversity really drives performance.

  8. Diversity and performance work effectively because everyone will want to do his or her best to make sure the project is a success not wanting to receive the blame in case of errors or failure so to me diversity works better than homogeneous especially for a sprint or short term project

  9. To my understanding, it doesn’t matter what team works together ,what is important is getting the Job done. As long as there’s effective communication, transparency, diversity and allocation of specific roles to individuals who share common values, the Job will be done perfectly.

  10. There is a strong relationship between diversity and performance though it’s not always a simple equation.
    1. Broader Perspectives:
Diverse teams bring different cultural, educational, and personal backgrounds.
This leads to more creative ideas, better problem-solving, and wider audience insights especially important in marketing, PR, and innovation-focused roles.
    2. Improved Decision-Making
    Stronger Representation and Reach
In industries like communications, branding, or customer service, a team that mirrors the customer base can connect more authentically and build trust with diverse audiences.
    Challenges of Diverse Teams
    1. Communication Gaps: Language differences, cultural norms, or varied communication styles can lead to misunderstandings if not managed well.
    2. Conflict or Bias :Implicit biases, stereotypes, or different working habits might lead to tension if not addressed openly and constructively.

    3. Slower Decision-Making
