While a specialized virtual assistant offer services that are focused more on specific area of expertise or skill. Specialized virtual assistant duties targeted to specific business need.

    Essential tools needed by a virtual assistant include :
    Cloud Storage/ file sharing Tools such as drop box, google drive, one drive . This allows easy file sharing, accessibility, collaboration and storage of files between the virtual assistants and clients .

    Communication tools such as Gmail and outlook can allow effective communication between Virtual assistants and clients that they are working for . Other communication tools for video conferencing are also not left out of the list . Tools such as Zoom , Google Meet , Microsoft Teams fosters face-to-face communication between clients, brainstorming sessions , work presentation for effective workflows.

    Customer Relationship Management Tools such as Hubspot, zoho and Salesforce are tools that can help in managing customer interactions such as boosting productivity, sales and marketing . CRM help to maintain communications and interactions with customers

  4. 2. (a) Customer Relationship Management tool: example includes Zoho, HubSpot and Pipedrive CRM. The CRM tool is more like an all in one tool as it increases efficiency and improves customer interaction. It has many pillars which enhances the workflow of a VA such as the operational part which include marketing and sales service, analytical pillar which provides analytical tools and the collaboration pillar which integrates all kind of communication channels for both internal and external users

    (b)Project management tool: includes work planners ( Trello) time manger ( clockify) etc. It enable easy management of client’s work thereby making the job more easy for the VA

    (c) SEO tool: includes Notify, Google search console etc. This enable easy research for keywords which can be use to leverage or boost words. More like finding words that makes my work rank or come up when searched.

    3. Niching down is all about going to the in-depth of a category. Example from my point of view is a writer who writes on health books is different from a writer who is know for health books on diabetes. In case of a Virtual assistant, it’s about being a general virtual assistant and doing the basics or being into a specific industry like health and focusing solely on just that.

    -It is beneficial because it increases visibility thereby you have an authority in your specialised area.
    -It reduces competition. This is important especially in a not so saturated niche or base.

    Less competition/ more profit efficient: niching helps to reduce the number of people doing exactly one thing and in a particular way. It gives room for more visibility and makes the virtual assistant to stand out and charge even higher in the service rendered.
    One potential challenge:
    Limited market size: Niching has a way of reducing the target reach of a business or service. This however in turn leads to loss of clients and low profit making.
