Question 2:
Essential tools for any Virtual Assistant include:
I) Gmail — An essential tool for virtual assistants to send and receive emails to and from clients. Virtual assistants, especially administrative assistants send out numerous correspondences and need an easy to use mailing platform, an example of which is Gmail.
II) Forest — For time tracking and management. To avoid distractions and missing deadlines, Virtual Assistants need an AP and website blocking tool to aid concentration and deep work.
3) Niching Down: Niching down involves determining a part of the market that one will offer their services to and developing skills to better serve that audience. Choosing to serve a particular niche offers the benefit of reduced competition as less competitors are targeting your same audience than there are in the general market. Also, it offers increased visibility and customer trust.
A challenge though, of niching down is that you have to identify a profitable niche. Virtual assisting as a business has to be profitable and we need to understand that not all niches are worth venturing into because of the lack of profit there in.
