    A general VA is a VA that does all kinds of work online. He could be an Administrator and at the same time he’s also a graphic designer, doing all kinds of jobs online, but a specialized VA is one that is specialized and focuses on a specific job online .

    A niche simply means focusing on a particular segment of a market.

    Two Benefits: 1, focusing on a particular segment of a market helps the VA to be a specialist in a particular area (field) 2, It also helps the VA to have a specific target audience that could be a potential leads .

    Disadvantage: One disadvantage to this is that it might not allow the VA to grow in other areas if he gets too comfortable with a particular segmented market, not wanting to focus is attention on another market
