    Apart from my current place of work even personally I need to improve in my communication skills and also when it’s come to my present job I need to improve myself continually develop myself professionally.

  3. I am Ogbeide Jacob Oseghale, from Project Management cohort 22. I am a student not working in an organization currently. However, I realize that I need to develop my communication, negotiation, and time management skills to the level of being able to take up projects and handle them effectively. Also, professional development is key for me.

  5. My name is Muideen Solomon, an applicant in cohort 22, my current job role as an engineer is assistant project manager.
    Reflecting on my correct job and aligning the role I play with this important skill as a project manager, I see need to understand more about communication and time management.
    Actually my professional development is key, this make me to give dexa a shot and I am greatful for the privilege.

    As a project manager you have to be time effective and responsive with team members and clients.
    As a project manager I learnt to be very proffessional with my presentation delivery and while having conversations with clients and teammates.

  7. I’m Stella Edwin, Cohort 22, team 3. In my current role as a marketer in the pension industry, I constantly have to communicate with clients about why they need a pension account and for others, why they need to switch to a different pension administrator. Time management is also important because I work with clients who have busy schedules and are not always in their office, so missing the appointment time is not acceptable in my work. Negotiation is another skill I often find myself using during my conversation with clients.

  8. I’m Christiana Nehemiah, cohort 22, In my current role as a social media manager,
    I constantly communicate with design and content teams in order to keep my clients account up to date.
    I also review work progress and report to the client on a monthly basis in order to be clear on goals met and negotiate an extended contract.
    Time management is important to me because I always take courses to improve on my skills and continual professional development, so having to balance that and work with every day tasks, I have to take consideration of how much time I spend on my tasks and deliverables to create a balance.

    1. I am Mercy Chepngeno; cohort 23, a virtual assistant and a Trainer. In my roles communication skills and continuous learning are very essential. I have to keep up with gaps in my area of competence in order to find solutions and remain relevant in my profession.
      Time mangement is also essential to me as I have to complete various job tasks and also have time for my family.
      I am making a plan to take a course on communication as it help in meaningful relationship with my clients as a virtual assistant and as a trainer. I will also embrace continuous career development in order to remain relevant in my roles and find solutions to real work-life problems.
      I believe this course of project management will be beneficial to me in role as a Virtual Assistant. It will equip me with the necessary skills to complete project management jobs that I will encounter.

      1. I am Patience Hanson, a Finance and Admin Business Partner. I joined a real estate firm last year, and I am still learning how the real estate space works. All of these skills do play out in my role. I however still need to improve in my negotiation, and knowledge of regulatory environment.
        To improve in the knowledge of the environment, I have acquainted myself with news and information about the real estate space by attending seminars, real estate programme, and I am initiating relationships with people in the real estate space. So far, this has helped me grasp a better understanding of the market. There are still more things I need to learn, but I’m better than I was when I just joined. It has helped my work as well. I know how to report my financials properly.

        I am expected to be fully involved in the procurement of materials for the company. So this is yet a bit of a challenge because I am yet to improve my negotiation skills. For now, I allow those in the procurement do the negotiations while I watch closely.

          1. I am Esther Nekesa,a trade developer. Communication,time management ,negotiation and knowledge of regulatory environment will work for me. Am working in between stakeholders ,a project manager and customers and so communication is essential for me to give daily updates of my daily sales and objectives/tasks update and reports. Negotiation is key in between my customers and I because I have to make specific orders based on the proposed targets given by my Project manager. Time management because I work with different route plan everyday and I have to ensure I close daily routine calls . Having knowledge of the regulatory environment is key because of the government laws given on the quality of products am selling and checking daily on expired product and being able to dispose at the designated areas without causing harm to people or to the environment.
