You might think that project management has little to do with these major global matters. However, all kinds of organizations, whether large or small, are impacted by the world they operate in. How a company understands and responds to this complexity influences the projects it chooses to undertake and how it handles them.
This week, we begin by examining frameworks that help us grasp this intricate world. These frameworks guide our actions, responses, and decision-making in the face of complexity.
Next, we delve deeply into various methods and practices for managing projects when faced with uncertainty, instability, and change. These methods include linear approaches and life cycles, often known as the waterfall method, as well as iterative or agile approaches. You will explore the pros and cons of these methods, as well as the ongoing debates about them.
By the end, you’ll grasp how to use and blend these methods effectively to achieve successful project outcomes.

In the fashion industry, global issues is a big thing can influences the organization. It’s structure and development.
Technology has rapidly and continuously evolved. The advancement has a great impact in the fashion industry and as such, there is need for constant investment in new tech ideas to remain competitive and reinforcing new digital integrations like communication with clients virtually through various tools. Through the incorporation of these new tools and constant use of it by team members, timeline and met faster and team get adapted to new techniques while staying ahead of tech trends.
Competition often causes globalization and market pressure. Offering unique designs and improving customer experience in other to grow more globally and overcoming challenges involved with competition.
The issue of social and political change leads to regulatory and social shifts from standard values like diversity and trade laws which can impact the business worldwide. Complying with rules and regulations, adapting to societal changes, aligning project with legal and ethical requirements is essential.
Environmental crisis is seen in the fashion industry to result to sustainability resistance which demand optimum attention in this era. Research has shown that sustainability is a key factor that most organizations need to consider now. Incorporation of eco – friendly practices and green technologies into project to meet sustainability goals ( such as using sustainable fabrics- reducing waste, or creating a more eco- conscious supply chain).
In my niche (event) the issue of inflation is showing is impact, venue for corporate, family and social events are on the rising which causes uncertainty and instability in handling and secured a suitable venue .
Technology on the other , in my experience has helped increase reach to prospects clients globally which is an added an advantage but also increased influx of competitors in same industry.

The economic crisis right now is really affecting the progress of the company,and causes a lot of set back especially in finances
The economic crisis going on in the country is affecting the way the finances of the company, frequent fluctuations and inflation of commodities also
The global issues we are mostly affected by are, inflation, change in government policies and rapid innovative technology. As a result of that we have to be adaptive as the changes occur which affects the organization in many ways.
Global issues such as new technology, competition, social and political changes, and environmental crises have varied impacts on the organization.
The emergence of new technology has enhanced swift workflow and allowed for remote work settings. Hence, workers can be engaged from any part of the world and communication is much easier through advanced communication tools. However, technology such as AI has led to redundancy and loss of manpower in many organizations.
The influx of competition affects organizations because more businesses are pursuing few, clients, thereby flouting ethics and principles and this can affect quality output.
Social and political changes are the bane of business and project instabilities today. The high rate of inflation and currency devaluation has shut down many organizations and projects because they could not meet up with demands. Unfavorable government policies on businesses also have adverse effects on organizations and project
Also, Environmental crises like insecurity and natural disasters has collapsed the economy, making it unattractive for investors and also forcing many businesses out of existence.
As a Market research organization, we are challenged by the above factors because most foreign clients are losing interest in the Nigerian market and this makes the business to be less viable.

In 2020 the whole world was brought to a standstill because of coronavirus. As an organization will have to mark out several projects to undertake that same only for Corovi to come and stop all that.
As a Nigerian living in Nigeria, i will start with the issue of inflation. Prices of products are currently unstable which causes uncertainty and instability in handling projects.
Government policies also affect projects, due to change in policies by the new government administration lots of ongoing projects get stucked and many companies left devastated.
Technology on the other hand, in my experience has helped increase reach of clients globally which is an advantage, but it also increased competition as more people are leveraging on the power of technology leading to influx of competitors.

The increasing rise of inflation in Nigeria is actually affecting budget causing a lot of uncertainty when budgeting for a project and tension while carrying out a project.
Secondly, stringent government policies affects successful planning and carrying out a project.
Last but not the least, influx of competitors is also a major challenge when planning and carrying out a project due to the depletion of market share.
