You might think that project management has little to do with these major global matters. However, all kinds of organizations, whether large or small, are impacted by the world they operate in. How a company understands and responds to this complexity influences the projects it chooses to undertake and how it handles them.
This week, we begin by examining frameworks that help us grasp this intricate world. These frameworks guide our actions, responses, and decision-making in the face of complexity.
Next, we delve deeply into various methods and practices for managing projects when faced with uncertainty, instability, and change. These methods include linear approaches and life cycles, often known as the waterfall method, as well as iterative or agile approaches. You will explore the pros and cons of these methods, as well as the ongoing debates about them.
By the end, you’ll grasp how to use and blend these methods effectively to achieve successful project outcomes.

Bringing Technology to the table changed a lot in the world at large, basically in the business world, Technology have made the world become so small with remote jobs everywhere, everything you need is at the tip of your finger . Many achievements through technology now, appears impossible in the past. Arguably technology remains the big thing ranging from Communication, Agriculture, Transportation, Security, Politics & Warfronts etc.
Man power is also being threatened as it is almost being replaced.
Competition has forced my organization to go an extra mile in productivity and delivery to keep us at the top. social and political changes as well have had both positive and negative effects on Us. some current government policies are favorable while some are not helping our project to move smoothly.
Finally, the environmental problems have been affecting some of our project. As flood have taken over work area and made our work difficult.
The technology of the world is making the world a small place to work in but considering the political and cultural perspectives make bring about diversity in the work but a project manager should be able to bring all there together as then find a common ground in order to achieve his goal for the completion of the project.
The world keep changing and new updates and upgrades emerge every minute and day. My understanding of the technology world has kept me relevant and the awareness of how dynamic the tech world can be is a constant reminder that I must stay relevant by keeping myself updated so I can effortlessly flow with the tech world’s tide.
Technology, competition, social and political changes, and environmental problems, requires organisations to adjust, be flexible, to be adaptable,to be innovate, and be more socially and environmentally responsible. It encourage flexible projects inorder to incorporate new technologies.

Changes brought about by technology, competition, and socio-political and environmental factors can affect organizations and their projects in several ways, such as the speed of project execution, the increased need/ability to manage limited resources, the effect of new laws that may change the organization’s operations, and civil societies pushing for environmental awareness. All these can cause a delay in the projected completion date of any project.
A project manager should be able to factor in possible changes and their effect on the project and look for ways to make sure that the deviation from his/her schedule is brought to the barest minimum.
Change is inevitable. Sometimes it could be good and sometimes it could be otherwise. One thing a project manager should always do is to be battle ready for any thing.
Global issue: the world is experiencing rapid and unpredictable change. A smart project manager would quickly shift to accommodate d change.
New technology: Be versatile, so you aren’t left behind.
Social and political upheaval: Most counties, politics drive the economy and this has great impact on projects.
Environmental crisis: if any environment isn’t conducive, project would be difficult to initiate and execute.
Project manager must just be up to date and be battle ready, as a lot could affect project. Be ready to face any challenge and be on top.
Global issues would influence my company and the project am working on. Let’s take for instance, Government change, this comes with change of policies like new tax rates which can be negative or positive.
Competition can affect some decisions made for the project, maybe amendment of the budget to create better innovations
Social changes like interaction with people and the environment can affect the project positively or negatively.
Technology advancement is great but the company has to make series of adjustmens like switching to the new technology, advanced learning and upgrades which would not be acquired at cheap rates.
Therefore, global issues has its influence on the company and the project.
