Now think about what was important for them in taking the decision the took. Would they act differently in a different context? Why?

Projects are unique in their own ways, and with this in mind, I believe the project managers made the best decisions and choices available to them. Cathy Shaw’s decision was indeed a difficult one, and I imagine it took a lot of courage. I noticed that the focus is not on the project managers themselves but rather on achieving maximum client satisfaction and ensuring high project quality. Although effective communication is essential for every project, the project manager’s experience with a language barrier underscores the importance of communication skills, including the potential need to learn additional languages or employ a translator. However, I feel that a common language for both parties could have fostered even better understanding.
As a project manager , communication is vital and it is key to effective project delivery. Dealing with difficult decisions in a project can be challenging, but it’s an essential part of effective project management.
Ultimately, a project manager’s ability to make good decisions relies on effective planning, communication, risk management, and the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
Regularly assessing the project’s status and being proactive in addressing challenges are key to successful decision-making in project management.
I noticed the need for client satisfaction and the essentiality of communication. I believe that the project manager who had a language challenge would have done better if he had the opportunity to speak in his native language; though he took a good decision considering how important communication is.
As a project manager, problem solved with different solutions. Communication is very essential
I believe they took the right decisions vis a vis the situations they were dealing with. Sometimes in a project one could be faced with technical challenges, language barriers, sometimes ethical and even human capital challenges. Flexibility and ability to adapt, proper communication makes managing these challenges easier.
I believe that the experts acted maturely in the way they handled the situation.
Over time, I’ve understood that as a project manager, humility, flexibility, ability to communicate in a central language are some of the top skills that one should have.
This makes it easier to communicate with your team members and listen to their concerns and suggestions.
The 3Experts all made the right decisions because as a project manager you should always be ready to find solutions to problems at anytime the needs arise and also they are not expected to act the same way since they were facing different challenges.
Provide a possible solution/suggest way out of any risk or issues envisage while planning
Each expert acted based on the situation at hand because every project is unique and different decisions have to be taken to achieve a particular goal of delivering the project within the time frame.
These Project Managers wouldn’t act the same obviously, because each case was peculiar and unique.
They all had something in common.
Communication
Discipline
Proactive
Each of these Project Managers wouldn’t act the same obviously, because each case was peculiar.
However, their approach had few things in common:
1. Communication.
2. Collaboration.
3. Proactiveness.
