– Zoom: Die to the nature of the VA job being an online and largely remote job, Zoom is a video conferencing app that helps in scheduling calls between various groups of people. It helps in reducing workflow through the ease by which communication between clients and workers are streamlined
-Asana: Asana is a site and also all that is used for project management and project organization thereby making it easier for teams to cooperate and accomplish tasks. It reduces the work flow of the VA by making it easier to organize, collaborate, plan and execute tasks more effectively
-Monday.com: It is a CRM platform that allows people to create highly flexible and customizable workspace-style CRM platforms. It reduces VAs workflow through its features that make it possible to streamline tasks and automate processes.

Benefits of niching down include the fact that by focusing on a singular industry, the VA’s skills in that particular industry will grow at a fast pace whilst another benefit is that due to being in a niche, there’s exclusivity of clients because each niche has it own clientele. A disadvantage of niching is that when there’s any market impact on a particular niche, the VAs in that niche are affected.

A Specialized Virtual Assistant on the hand has a particular niche which they are deeply rooted in. They work for a particular kind of company performing tasks that focuses on a particular line of business.
Examples include Real Estate VA and E-commerce VA

Niching down has to do with focusing/specialising on a particular line of business. In the wide range of services offered,a VA can choose to streamline all that and focus on a particular niche where he or she shines best. Niching down is a way of saying “I have found something I am great at and love doing and I’m gonna to constantly improve on this thing”.
Benefits include:
1. Better compensation: Companies pay more to a specialized VA because you have some skill set that will improve their business compared to being a general VA.
2. Better Focus: So many start with being general VAs but later realize that being in a niche is better as you improve time to time in a line and invariably an expert in that field.
One Potential challenge for me is difficulty in switching industries. After being a specialized VA,if one ever decides to change course it may prove to be difficult as one is already deeply rooted in one path for the longest time.
