This week, we begin by examining frameworks that help us grasp this intricate world. These frameworks guide our actions, responses, and decision-making in the face of complexity.
Next, we delve deeply into various methods and practices for managing projects when faced with uncertainty, instability, and change. These methods include linear approaches and life cycles, often known as the waterfall method, as well as iterative or agile approaches. You will explore the pros and cons of these methods, as well as the ongoing debates about them.

Change is necessary to progress with the constant advances in technology, competition, social and political changes, and environmental problems we must embrace change to stay afloat in business. Not everyone sees it in such a positive light so PMs should create a roadmap on how to communicate, train, and engage our teams to ensure change becomes a new way of working. Covid-19 has affected a lot of organizations either positively or negatively.
As an entrepreneur rapid technological change require me to stay informed. Information they say is the bedrock of any successful endeavor therefore, i must stay informed with the change of event in the business line.
Technological advancement has greatly affected the ways development and humanitarian projects gather data and decisions making. Projects now deploy various data collection applications such as ODK and Kobocollect that ease data collection and analysis. Unlike in the past where paper-based data collection and analysis in practice with its time consuming and incoherent challenges.
Social and political changes experienced by many countries has led to working remotely or virtually in delivering projects. Working remotely has helped in saving of lives from crisis in political transitions, dangers of COVID-19 and other diseases ravaging the world. For instance, projects now adopt Hit-and-run strategy in vaccinating eligible children in security compromised communities in the Northwest of Nigeria.
As an interior designer, my work is influenced by global factors such as technology, competition, social and political change, as well as environmental crisis. These factors shape the way I design and the choices I make. Technology enables ne to use advanced tools and platforms for design creation and presentation. Competition is fierce, so intentionally must differentiate myself through unique design solutions and exceptional customer service. Social and political changes affect design preferences and requirements, while the environmental crisis emphasizes the need for sustainable and eco-friendly design practices. So Staying informed, upgrading my skills, and communicating the value of sustainable design to my clients.
Changes are bound to occur…both in technology, the environment, society, etc. We all should be prepared for these changes and concentrate on our growth as project managers and as Organizations. There should be a need for training, and upskilling in order to remain relevant in this changing world.
