Various definitions of the concept of quality have been put forward.
One generic definition (Pass, 2006b) is as follows:
The overall characteristics of a product or service that fulfill the requirements of customers in terms of quality.
This definition aligns with the viewpoint of Joseph Juran, who, in the 1950s, defined quality as ‘fitness for use’ (as quoted in ASQ, 2019).
This definition is largely consistent with the definition of quality provided by APM (2019, p. 214):
The suitability for the intended purpose and the degree to which the output of a process or the process itself conforms to the requirements.

“Team members may not produce quality outputs without close supervision.
I agree with the following points. QUALITY of a project should be considered as high Priority before executing a project.
1)Quality should be focused on the customer’s need- I disagree as quality should be a standard of the organization and not a requirement for the customers needs
2)Quality is focused internally- i agree with this statement
3)Quality should be considered from the beginning of the project- i agree with this statement.
4)The execution phase of a project is the most critical to achieve quality targets- i disagree, i believe the planning stage is the most critical to achieving quality target
5)Quality issues should be discussed openly to find corrective actions.- i agree
6)Quality problems should be hidden from customers and possibly also managers- from customers yes but from managers no.
7)People are keen on producing quality outputs.- i disagree with this statement
8)Team members do not produce quality outputs without close supervision.- this is totally dependent on the head of that team.
Quality should be focused on the customer’s needs.
Quality should be considered from the beginning of the project.
The execution phase of a project is the most critical to achieve quality targets.
Quality issues should be discussed openly to find corrective actions.
People are keen on producing quality outputs.
I fully agree with the notion that quality should be given top priority, considering both the customer’s needs and the organization’s reputation. To ensure the desired level of quality for a product or service, it must be taken into account right from the beginning of a project. The execution phase is particularly critical as it’s the stage where all the plans and strategies are put into action, and the success of a project hinges on the proper execution of these plans. It’s crucial to openly discuss any quality issues that may arise during the project to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions. By upholding these principles, we can foster a culture of continuous improvement and deliver high-quality outcomes to our customers.
Quality should be considered from the beginning, discussing issues with clients and openly finding solutions. perfect execution of the project is also considered as quality
I am of the opinion that Quality should be considered from the project’s inception.
This forms the foundation upon which the entire project will be built on.
Quality problems should be concealed from customers and possibly managers. I do not agree with the above mentioned statement .
Quality should prioritize the customer needs
My point is this if a project is not build on the foundation quality that particular project is at stake, because the intention of a client that entrust a project to an organization or project manager is to see that he/she get the best from you as far as the project is concern so quality is part of that best am talking about.
Quality should prioritize both the customer’s needs and the organisation’s reputation.
Quality should be considered from the project’s inception because if not so done, the desired quality of product or service won’t be achieved.
The execution phase of a project is crucial for achieving quality goals because this is where everything planned is brought to play and a project will remain dead if plans aren’t executed.
Quality issues should be openly discussed to identify corrective actions.
I agree with this
I do not agree that Quality problems should be concealed from customers and possibly managers but rather quality issues should be openly discussed to identify corrective actions.
